Endnight built an incredible and immersive open-world horror craft with The Forest. The game really shines at the three things it needs to in this genre...survival, crafting, and exploration. Your main objective (other than finding Timmy) is to build a well-defended shelter while surviving creepy ass cannibals and freaky mutants that are always creating this constant tension. Exploring the underground cave systems is fun (if you don't die), rewarding you and your friends with better gear while keeping the suspense at an all-time high. The crafting system is pretty great. Your handy dandy survival guide helps you plan and build shelters, towers, rafts, traps or defensive structures(you're not limited to the provided blueprints) which allows your creative genius to come out to play. The guide also serves as a reference about local fauna and flora and figuring out your next objectives on the "what to do list". The inventory/crafting system is unique for weapons and other gear. At first...maybe a little confusing and difficult (why are the watches hidden behind molotovs!!!). One of The Forest's greatest strengths is the mystery surrounding what is actually happening on this island. The story IS strange but the sense of discovery and intrigue keeps you invested. While the narrative can be a bit out there, I found it better than the one in Sons of the Forest. I’ll admit that I started the series with Sons of the Forest, which made The Forest feel somewhat clunky and outdated but it still remains an excellent survival craft that holds up well. Playing it gave me an even greater appreciation for Sons of the Forest though. "OLD" but GOLD.

For scale, across Steam · Top Sellers · Brazil over the last 30 days: the 25 chart moves that followed a price cut of more than 20% went a median of 10 places towards #1, and the 2,413 moves with no price cut behind them went 2 away. One store, one chart, one country — it is the only place we have enough observations to say even that.
Prices outside the United States have been collected since 6 August 2026 and chart positions since 19 July 2026, so a cut older than that has no market to compare and a market that joined later has no history yet. Nothing here is converted between currencies.

Instalei o jogo. Entrei no avião. O avião caiu. Beleza. Achei um machado e pensei “vou cortar uma árvore pra fazer uma casinha”. Cortei a árvore. Vieram 4 canibais. Matei os 4. Cortei outra árvore. Vieram 8. Matei os 8. Cortei mais uma. Veio um mutante de 3 metros, 17 canibais e aparentemente o sindicato dos lenhadores. Decidi não cortar mais árvores. Fui pescar. Um canibal me viu pescando. Olhou pra mim. Eu olhei pra ele. Ele gritou.
1-Download the Forest not knowing anything about it. 2-Get used to the mechs and the style. 3-Start to Enjoy the game but still no way to know how you're supposed to find Timmy. 4-go down a cave. 5-leaving the cave a different man, but with more loot and items. 6-reluctantly, go down another cave. 7-See something that makes you question your choice of games, but you leave with more loot. 8-start to piece together what's going on with the island and what might have happened. 9-get hooked to the game. 10-being stuck in a cave for hours. 11-leaving the cave but wanting to find more caves to explore. 12-spending more times in caves. 13-start liking the caves. 14-getting used to the caves. 15-forget about Timmy. 16-become a caveman.
This is one of those games that I would highly recommend playing with 2-3 other people. It is a lot more fun when done in a group. The building mechanism is really amazing. I can't wait to be able to buy Sons of the Forest.. and maybe get some friends to play with haha
Awesome game, used to play with my friends over quarantine and it was a lot of fun. The graphics and storyline are really good, not something I expected. There's a lot of detail and stuff to explore throughout the game, as well as some really cool open world survival aspects.
Just Finished the game, and had a very good time with my friends. We had so much fun, hilarious moments, epic fails and what not?!! Sure there were some bugs and glitches but they are not that serious to cause a issue and are acceptable considering how small the dev team was with whatever little budget they had. And they managed to make such good game despite that. Highly recommend it

The Forest is one of those games that perfectly blends survival, exploration, and horror. What starts as a simple mission to survive quickly turns into an intense adventure filled with mystery, danger, and unforgettable moments. Building your own base, exploring caves, gathering resources, and defending yourself against the island's terrifying inhabitants never gets old. The atmosphere is incredible. During the day, the island looks peaceful and beautiful, but when night falls, everything changes. The tension and fear of hearing something moving in the darkness make every night exciting. Whether you're playing solo or with friends, there's always something to do and something new to discover. It's a game that keeps you engaged from start to finish. Highly recommended for anyone who enjoys survival games with a touch of horror.
Desde que jugue esto mi aparato reproductor masculino empezo a crecer apresuradamente (no hablo de ereccion) hablo de centimetros, cuando empece, me media unos 12cm, ahora, poseo de una longitud de 32cm, todo gracias a The Forest.
I have always loved this game for the creative ability the game gives you. this is litterally the game of you want to build the most wildest crazy forts then go ham the visuals and gameplay were always ahead of there time and still it holds up.
