Prices
Each in the currency that store quoted — not converted: the gap between two rows is the publisher's pricing, not an exchange rate.
Every market we collect.
Charts
Each storefront's own chart, in its own country — the closest public signal to sales where none is published. A country missing from a list is one we don't collect there, not one where the game doesn't chart.
Discounts
Every price cut of more than 20% we have observed, in each market that quoted one, with this game's chart position on either side of it. These are episodes, not a model: a sale is one event, and one event cannot tell you what the next one will do.
Too few observations to say whether a discount moves this store's chart at all: across the last 30 days Steam · Top Sellers · Poland has just 18 day-to-day chart moves that followed a price cut, against 2,498 that did not. We are publishing the count instead of a direction — 20 is the fewest we will draw a conclusion from, and price collection outside the United States began on 6 August 2026.
Prices outside the United States have been collected since 6 August 2026 and chart positions since 19 July 2026, so a cut older than that has no market to compare and a market that joined later has no history yet. Nothing here is converted between currencies.
About
Valheim is a collaborative exploration and survival game for 1-10 players set in a procedurally generated world inspired by Norse mythology. Craft powerful weapons, construct elaborate halls, and slay mighty foes to prove yourself to Odin!

Discover an immersive procedurally generated world, with different biomes that each have their distinct environments, unique resources and dangerous enemies. Become a Viking and sail the open seas in search of lands unknown, alone or with up to nine friends!

The Tenth World has been corrupted by hateful forces, in the shape of mighty regional bosses known as the Forsaken. Hone your skills with axes, blades and bows, and prepare yourself by crafting the very best equipment – for it is only by defeating these Forsaken that you will advance in your progress and prove yourself to the Allfather.

Raise Viking longhouses and build bases that offer reprieve from the dangers ahead. Whether you build a small shelter, an entire village or a mountain-side fortress, defence and structural integrity are important, as is decorating it for maximum comfort!

As you discover new materials, you will learn new recipes for crafting, building and cooking – all that a Viking might need! The food system is rewarding rather than punishing, granting you boons and benefits depending on what you eat, and is directly tied to the combat system, where your health and stamina might be just the thing that makes a difference between life and death.
Community-translated languages
In addition to the officially supported languages, Valheim has several community-translated languages. As the name would suggest, these are all translated by fans and members of the community, and the process is frequently ongoing. Thus, we cannot guarantee the quality or completeness of any specific translation.
Add-ons
Each DLC is estimated with the same model as a game, then summed — a modeled figure, not reported DLC sales.
Updates
Build ids and update times come straight from Steam's PICS — the same source SteamDB reads. Patch history grows as we record new builds.

Reviews

If you enjoy survival, exploration, building, and progression that feels rewarding rather than rushed, Valheim is one of the best games in its genre. Even years after its release, it remains highly recommended, especially if you play with friends or enjoy modding. What Valheim does exceptionally well 🌍 Exploration (10/10) The world is procedurally generated, so every seed feels different. Each biome introduces: New enemies New resources New mechanics A new boss Unlike many survival games, exploration is genuinely exciting because every new area matters. 🏠 Building (10/10) Valheim has one of the best building systems in survival games. Features include: Structural integrity system Snapping pieces Huge creative freedom Comfortable base mechanics Terraforming Players have recreated: Viking castles Japanese villages Cities Ships Entire kingdoms Mods make building even better. ⚔ Combat (8.5/10) Combat focuses on: Dodge rolls Blocking Perfect parries Stamina management Every enemy has strengths and weaknesses. The combat isn't as deep as a Souls game, but it rewards preparation and timing more than button mashing. ⛵ Sailing (10/10) One of Valheim's signature features. You'll: Build different ships Navigate using the wind Encounter sea serpents Transport valuable metals Go on long expeditions Ocean journeys can become memorable adventures. 🎵 Atmosphere (10/10) Valheim excels at creating mood. Examples: Peaceful mornings in the Meadows Storms at sea Misty forests Snow-covered mountains Eerie swamps The soundtrack is subtle but highly effective. 📈 Progression (9.5/10) Progression feels meaningful. A typical cycle is: Explore biome → Collect resources → Craft better gear → Defeat boss → Unlock next biome Each upgrade noticeably changes what you're capable of. Multiplayer (10/10) Valheim shines with friends. Roles naturally emerge: Builder Farmer Hunter Explorer Cook Miner Playing with 3–6 people is often considered the sweet spot, but solo is also enjoyable. Difficulty (8/10) The game can be punishing. Examples: Dying far from home Recovering equipment Sailing across dangerous seas Losing a ship full of ore Preparation matters much more than raw combat skill. Performance Pros Runs well on mid-range PCs. Good optimization considering the large worlds. Dedicated servers are straightforward to host. Cons Late-game bases with thousands of pieces and many light sources can reduce FPS, especially on older CPUs. Mods (10/10) This is one of Valheim's biggest strengths. Popular categories include: Better inventory Building improvements Farming automation QoL features New weapons New bosses Magic systems RPG classes New biomes The modding community has significantly extended the game's replayability. Downsides No game is perfect. Grinding Some players find gathering: Iron Black Metal Stone Wood to become repetitive, particularly in solo play. Inventory Management The vanilla inventory is intentionally limited. Many players install inventory mods because: Armor occupies inventory slots. Carry weight can be restrictive. Resource hauling takes planning. Weather Rain: Reduces stamina regeneration. Requires shelter or appropriate preparation. Some players enjoy this realism; others find it frustrating. Slow Travel Early in the game you'll spend a lot of time: Walking Sailing Transporting ore There are portals, but by default many metal ores cannot be teleported. Some players love this design because it gives logistics meaning, while others install mods to change it. Replayability (10/10) Reasons people spend hundreds or even thousands of hours: Different world seeds Hardcore/self-imposed challenges Creative building Multiplayer servers Mods New biome updates Every new playthrough can feel different. Best suited for ✅ Players who enjoy: Exploration Survival Base building Viking themes Cooperative gameplay Long-term progression Modding Less ideal for players who prefer: Fast-paced action Constant story-driven objectives Minimal resource gathering
Mysigt, unikt.
