Every price cut of more than 20% we have observed, in each market that quoted one, with this game's chart position on either side of it. These are episodes, not a model: a sale is one event, and one event cannot tell you what the next one will do.
Reviews, worldwide (the counter carries no country): 0.14/day in the week to Aug 19 → 1.71/day in the week after.
For scale, across Steam · Top Sellers · Brazil over the last 30 days: the 25 chart moves that followed a price cut of more than 20% went a median of 10 places towards #1, and the 2,413 moves with no price cut behind them went 2 away. One store, one chart, one country — it is the only place we have enough observations to say even that.
Prices outside the United States have been collected since 6 August 2026 and chart positions since 19 July 2026, so a cut older than that has no market to compare and a market that joined later has no history yet. Nothing here is converted between currencies.

I absolutely adore this game. It's incredibly unique, has charming dialogue, and offers up so many ways to digest its core mechanic. I had a great time finding new endings, secrets (that damned washing machine), outfits (God Wilbur looks so cool), and just found the game to be an overall vibe. The only thing I found annoying, and this was a tiny tiny complaint, was that the Hive ending was basically impossible on the timed mode. Everything else I was acing, but for some reason that was simply undoable given many tries. I really really hope the ingenuity in this game catches on and leads to other similar options! There are so many directions the ideas in this game could go. Have a blast! 10 out of 10!
it's a chill game until some mfer lands his ship with a reactor about to go ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ nuclear and you have 10 seconds to fix that ♥♥♥♥ before it ends your 2 hour run
TLDR
Uncle Chop's Rocket Shop is a fun game that unfortunately suffers from some quality of life issues. Ultimately, it's a solid game that I would recommend.
The Good
Fixing Ships: At first you'll be reliant on your guidebook. But once you get more familiar with the different ship components you'll find yourself not needing it anymore. The first time you ace a fix without the guidebook feels good, it feels like a real accomplishment, and there are a multitude of components. The Story: The story was surprising, I wasn't expecting this game to take the turns that it did and, in an attempt to not spoil anything, I'll leave it at that. The Characters: There are multiple characters that you'll meet that feel very lifelike, genuine, and loveable. I'd love to get a beer with Droose. The Upgrades: Testing out different upgrade combinations can be fun. The ultimate being the Inflationator and Money Tree combo. The Aesthetics: The look of the game is fantastic, it's quirky, and it's lively. The world feels alive thanks to the quality art and music.
The Bad
Customers: Customers have a "patience" gauge that ticks down over time. The thought being; the quicker you fix their ship, the happier they'll be, the happier the customer is, the higher tip they'll give you. The big issue here is that every customer has THE SAME PATIENCE (ignoring the Grumpy, Jovial, and Patient customers. Though these are also meaningless towards the endgame). This is all well and good until you get further into the game where customers need like 6 components fixed and there's zero chance that you can get them all fixed before the customer get's pissed. The patience upgrade "Syd's Cigarettes" is genuinely useless toward the end game as there's no way in hell that you'll be able to fix everything in a timely manner even with the upgrade. How this could be fixed: If the patience gauge was tied to the number (and difficulty) of the jobs the customer has, this could be tweaked to make it actually doable. Mouse Only: I almost understand the decision for making the entire component fixing mouse-only. But having to click to open your tool tray only to accidently grab the wrong tool can be extremely frustrating as the clock is always ticking and every second counts. How to fix: There are only two tool upgrades you can get. What if there was a "toolbelt" upgrade you could get that would allow you to hotkey your tools? This would not only fix this issue, but make it so you could fix components slightly faster which could help with the "patience gauge" issue above. The Guidebook: The guidebook in and of itself isn't bad. The biggest issue is the fact that the game actively teases you if you "don't read the manual", but then leaves out super important information. Example: If you ever need to fix the VR component and get the "I open when up is down" issue. The guidebook doesn't tell you that you need to leave the VR realm, open the VR panel, and switch the wires so that your up and down wires are swapped. There's nothing in the guidebook that even tells you that you can open the VR panel. How to fix any guidebook issues: First off, for the VR example above, a page needs to be added that tells player that they can open the VR panel. Secondly, if there was an option that would allow players to call in a test ship, a ship that they could practice specific components on, this would be a non-issue. But instead players are expected to bash their head against the components until they either figure it out themselves, or they throw up their hands and just google how to do it. Fatal Jobs: There are two main fatal jobs that I ran into. The bomb defusal job, and Reactor jobs. For both, I don't think that anyone, besides for the devs, are capable of completing these jobs on the first go. I understand wanting to make some jobs more difficult, but three bombs that you need to defuse in 99 seconds or your entire run is over? Some reactors will blow in around 20 seconds ending your hour long run because you were trying to take some time to read the guidebook (how dare you try to read the guidebook). How to fix: This could be fixed in the exact same way as the guidebook fix I suggested above. If the player had the option, maybe at the end of a day, to call in a practice ship (that wouldn't kill them if they failed) they could practice these trickier components without having to go google stuff.
Conclusion
This game is still really fun and I would recommend it to anyone who also enjoys these kinds of games. But there are some poor choices, or oversights, that were made that make the game seem like it's fighting to not be fun. It is an indie game, so everything I say should be taken with a grain of salt.
I've had an absolutely tremendous time playing Uncle Chop's Rocket Shop. The learning curve is brutal, but the satisfaction from nailing down how everything works is so, so good. If Frantic mode is too much, Focused mode allows you to enjoy the game without the intense pressure (just avoid Reactor missions, which is doable 9 times out of 10). I'm still uncovering endings and secrets, and having an absolute blast of a time with it.
I genuinely adore this game, it became one of my favorite things to play when i first learned about it. I was there in the discord during the secret hunt for the manual stamps, it was incredible seeing the collective work of the fans pay off in the end, which makes it all the sadder that this game is seemingly now just... done... And I don't mean it like the game should continue to be updated forever, but rather that it really feels just... incomplete? In a way? It feels like there should be more, side stories, collectibles, just something... more. Doesn't help that it currently appears like the game has just been abandoned after the last update. Really hope i'm proven wrong and this game is given a bit more love. I truly do recommend the game for what it currently has tho, a really fun experience for me brain.
Not for me. I liked it at first but it gets repetitive quickly.
got tedious real quick
I tried multiple times but never got enough money, and on one of the ships i could never fix it because it was unclear about what i needed to fix it, ive tried 20 times. it was okay...
