Reviews
This game is both good and bad. Unfortunately it was abandoned because the developer went out of business.
A total downgrade from Ultimate General Civil War and Ultimate Admiral Age of Sail. While the campaign map is an interesting feature up front, it overcomplicates the game with the amount of things you have to balance while also constantly moving armies around. Paired with there being no tutorial other than through videos, it makes learning the game frustrating and more of a trial and error period in the first map in New England.

For scale, across Steam · Top Sellers · Brazil over the last 30 days: the 26 chart moves that followed a price cut of more than 20% went a median of 7 places towards #1, and the 2,400 moves with no price cut behind them went 2 away. One store, one chart, one country — it is the only place we have enough observations to say even that.
Prices outside the United States have been collected since 6 August 2026 and chart positions since 19 July 2026, so a cut older than that has no market to compare and a market that joined later has no history yet. Nothing here is converted between currencies.

One of the worst games I have ever played. Not the worst, just in the top 10. Another disaster I wish I never paid for. If you buy this game here is what to expect. You pay $$$, install, play on easiest setting, constantly get crushed regardless of the side you choose and then read the first line of this review and you paid good money for a garbage label in your steam library you never play again.
Woah so much promise on this game but game labs is no more. They were acquired and gutted and what you are all feeding is an empty lich of a game. DO NOT BUY THIS GAME IT IS UNFINISHED,.
An incomplete masterpiece. A game with infinite, but unfulfilled potential. Sad that it was abandoned halfway through its development. Having said that, played through it for the win a couple of times. Anyone who says it's unplayable or completely unpolished, is, in my opinion, incorrect. I would not pay anywhere near full price for this game. Best outcome here would be for the original developer(s) to be brought back and for this game to be given the attention it needs to reach its full potential.
I am conflicted in writing this review. On the one hand, it must be mentionned upfront is that this is an unfinished game. It is in a partial, incomplete state. There remain bugs, and unused, baffling features that were never completed. Whole parts of the game were clearly rushed into a working form. On the other hand, I must admit that I still have fun playing the game, 35 hours in. The tactical battles are more arcadey than Total war, but the strategic map is actually more interesting. I don't think this is a game I will be replaying many campaigns, but at 35 hours in I am only in August 1775 still, so plenty more to go. In the end, I can forgive the bugs. What I cannot forgive is the price that they are charging for this unfinished game. It is at least 2x too expensive for the state it is in, and for this reason alone I cannot recommend it.
the devs abanonded it :(
I absolutely ADORE this game. I dont really get the negative reviews - like at all. The game is complete, I've had ZERO bugs, looks great, plays great. Only American Revolution game where you play the battles in real time AND run the economy side. -chefs kiss- So the development team is no longer together but the game is done. Sure I can wish for more, but I only do because whats here is so good. It is a complete game, there's the southern side at the later stages of the war and everything. Campaign follows historical timeline pretty accurately. I wish there was more of a actual historical numbers mode though. there's 'aggressive AI' mode, which I haven't played, and it says the AI will aggressively push to try to keep the historical scenario at the time (I'm assuming New York for example will be constantly fed to be held) - so theres that. cool but also I want my victories to mean something too so kind of feel iffy about it. Still though impressed with the accuracy overall - like really impressed actually. Historical timeline is really good. Campaign itself is so much fun, alot of freedom. Research, resources, economy, even has the naval side. The map opens up in sequences on the American side, open fully for Brits. and the pacing/pressure feels just right. Not just a fantastic Revolutionary time period game, but an overall great strategy and tactics game. Highly, highly recommend Oh I will say a little bit of knowledge on the history of the war does help though, as just like real life, the Americans are hit from all kinds of different angles and at different times. Its a struggle sometimes - as it should be. Historically we won by pure grit and determination - not outright crushing every army.
i have played this game since it was announced. It is a great game, it is a hard game, it is a complete game. Yes the company closed, but its not abandonware, its not broken. i love this game
This game might actually be broken, randomly one day playing when I tell my units to leave the garrison it deletes them completely from the game. Doesn't matter if it's a regiment, or a general GONE forever. It's a game breaking bug. What a shame.
