Twisted Tower was everything I was hoping for and more. The combat was even better than I was expecting, and I was in constant awe and delight as I took in every new horror each floor had to offer. My one minor issue is that I felt the ending, while unexpected, left me with some unanswered questions, especially the more I thought about it. However, Twisted Tower is a nonstop thrill(carnival) ride from start to finish, and can be completed in one sitting as it only takes about four to six hours to complete. There’s also a New Game Plus option, which will give you access to other areas on each floor that were previously boarded up, so there’s plenty of incentive to play it more than once. I know I will. If you love Bioshock and want to play a severely demented carnival-themed take on it, then its time to scale the Twisted Tower. Full Review: https://waytoomany.games/2026/08/18/review-twisted-tower/

If you're feeling like you wanna play a satisfying shooter with interesting weapons and a twisted sense of humor and artstyle, then you can rest assured that this is right up your alley. It's kinda like an indie Bioshock with American McGee's Alice feel throughout. It's not a very long game, but it's quite varied, has interesting puzzles, and I didn't find it frustrating to navigate unlike I did the original Bioshock a long time ago. In addition, there's also new game plus with new areas to explore, so there's more to the game than it first seems. I highly recommend it!
If you like the aesthetic of Bioshock: Infinite and graphic style of Tale Tales: Walking Dead.. Then blast your way through this abandoned 1950s theme park crawling with carnival clowns, fairy-tale mascots, twisted puzzles, and deadly traps. Uncover the darkest secrets of your past as you race to the top to win back the love of your skank, that looks like the corpse bride lady, but whatever you like and love, I guess; it's none of my business really. But ENJOY and SURVIVE!
After popping balloons to find tickets, I threw a clown-bear head at a killer toy telephone then I ate some cotton candy from a trash can... Reminds me of my childhood.
feels like it overstays it's welcome for what it is; an old school fps edit: Developer does not disclose AI usage on the store page
Incredibly polished and much better than I thought it would be. Even though I've been following the developer for almost a decade, I didn't think I'd buy or even enjoy this game, because it's not my preferred genre and aesthetic. That being said, I kinda got hyped around the time of release and decided to buy on release, and HOLY CRAP this is good. Like actually, no ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥, this is a good game, extremely well made. In the days when Steam is filled with carelessly made slop, this is the type of game we all need.
"A Twisted Trip Worth Taking" I finished Twisted Tower from beginning to end, and I genuinely had a great time with it. The game has a really unique identity. The mix of BioShock-inspired atmosphere, creepy theme-park environments, bizarre enemies, and creative weapons works surprisingly well. Each area feels different from the last, and I especially enjoyed exploring the environments and seeing what strange idea the game would throw at me next. The atmosphere was easily one of my favorite parts. It manages to be creepy, colorful, weird, and fun at the same time without losing its horror feel. The weapon variety also keeps the combat entertaining throughout the journey. It’s clear that a lot of passion went into this project, and knowing it was developed over several years makes the final result even more impressive. Definitely recommended for fans of atmospheric horror games, BioShock-style worlds, and games that aren't afraid to be a little weird. https://youtu.be/QzU8Xejs9f0?si=QLzQVJPk08SIwCiK
I was pretty hard on the demo, but I can confirm the final game is a lot of fun so far. The developer has put in a lot of work since the demo, and it shows, as I feel like many of the problems I had with it have been addressed. For experienced shooter players, I recommend the hard mode - health and ammo seems to have the right level of scarcity. That being said, for the negative side of things: the shooting mechanics are definitely resembling of that 2007-2009 era as well, and it can feel a little floaty for those used to modern games. This can be seen as a feature or a fault. As well, it's a $15 indie game, so don't expect any AAA level of polish/detail. That being said, it's well worth the price and most folks will have a lot of fun with it.
This is a solid Bioshock-lite fps that does what it sets out to do
