Top notch atmosphere and world.. gameplay like a mix between Bioshock and Doom, so if you like either of those titles you'll love this game. Story was pretty weak imo but other than that very solid.
So this is a game that has a whole bunch of themes I really like but when put together if just falls flat. It has too much Bioshock influence, but not done well. It has kind of an interesting story but the delivery stalls the game every other room. The weapons aren't really original, just gimmicky takes on existing ones, but they are sold as some cool toy. The environment is creepy but lame, I spent too much time wondering why this place even exist in the world, especially one that isn't twisted through and through, like the world of "The Nightmare Before Christmas" and lastly, perhaps my greatest pet peeve, the F**K with the player... meaning you get to a point where you lose your weapons and need to go on another fetch quest for them! Let me say this clearly to these devs and any future devs: Make the world hard, make the puzzles hard, make the enemies challenging but leave the FKING PLAYER ALONE! If the best you can do to make a game a challenging experience is a cheap nerf, like taking the weapons, or doing some persistent status effect, you've failed the gameplay element big time.

Why is this at very positive? What was that nonsense? Creepy gross ending that didn't have a point. I can respect a solo project but it doesn't get a good review for free just because of that. It still needs to be a decent game, and decent is marginally more generous of an assessment that I think is fair. But hey, at least it's not pricey.
A more combat-focused, faster-paced version of BioShock. The story isn't anything to write home about, but I had a lot of fun whacking everything in sight with a mallet while indulging my inner greed... collecting tickets that are eventually useless. Combine that with decent gunplay, a variety of over-the-top weapons, and plenty of fun enemies to fill with holes, and I'd say it's worth wasting a few dollars and hours on if that sounds like your thing. I didn't run into any major bugs or game-breaking issues, and it ran really well, although you shouldn't expect anything miraculous graphics-wise. It took me about 12.5 hours to 100%, but if you're only going for the main 100% completion requirements, you could probably cut that time nearly in half.
This is a solid Bioshock-lite fps that does what it sets out to do
If you like the aesthetic of Bioshock: Infinite and graphic style of Tale Tales: Walking Dead.. Then blast your way through this abandoned 1950s theme park crawling with carnival clowns, fairy-tale mascots, twisted puzzles, and deadly traps. Uncover the darkest secrets of your past as you race to the top to win back the love of your skank, that looks like the corpse bride lady, but whatever you like and love, I guess; it's none of my business really. But ENJOY and SURVIVE!

Twisted Tower was everything I was hoping for and more. The combat was even better than I was expecting, and I was in constant awe and delight as I took in every new horror each floor had to offer. My one minor issue is that I felt the ending, while unexpected, left me with some unanswered questions, especially the more I thought about it. However, Twisted Tower is a nonstop thrill(carnival) ride from start to finish, and can be completed in one sitting as it only takes about four to six hours to complete. There’s also a New Game Plus option, which will give you access to other areas on each floor that were previously boarded up, so there’s plenty of incentive to play it more than once. I know I will. If you love Bioshock and want to play a severely demented carnival-themed take on it, then its time to scale the Twisted Tower. Full Review: https://waytoomany.games/2026/08/18/review-twisted-tower/
