For scale, across Steam · Top Sellers · Brazil over the last 30 days: the 25 chart moves that followed a price cut of more than 20% went a median of 10 places towards #1, and the 2,413 moves with no price cut behind them went 2 away. This was terrible. The first game was extremely mid, and unfinished, but it had potential. The only reason I played Industria 2, was to see where they took the story, and to see if they learned from the mistakes of the first game. This was much worse. Do not waste your money. The game is a halfbaked boring experience that doesn't know what it wants to be, so it ends up doing a bunch of different things that don't hold any weight. The amount of bugs in this game is an infestation. The developers do not deserve your money. They should have finished the game first, and then released it. I am sick of games releasing in an unfinished state, for full price, just to drip feed what should have been there on day 1. 2/10.
When I played industria 1, I was pulled into the game by the mystery and the weirdness of what was happening, I remember being in a grey library of sorts, I remember enthousiastically exploring and soaking in several sceneries. This game for some reason threw all that away, and now I am playing some kind of survival horror game that wants to be resident evil, I don't like horror games, I don't play them. I wasted my money on this game because they decided to genre hop. I want to explore with glee, not crouch every second of every minute,I don't want to play tetris with my inventory, and craft ammo. I want to soak in the scenery, and learn more about the world. Such a shame.

Its not too bad of a game but its nothing like the first one. What is there has serious potential tho. The new mechanics are fun and i enjoy the more serious survival aspect of it. But you can tell its very unfinished and needs a lot of work still which is the only real reason i cant recommend it. It also does need a lot of optimization work too it runs well and then it just doesnt and I dont know why.
The game is pretty much unfinished. The ending to Industria 1 felt incredibly rushed and I was really hoping that Industria 2 would be better, but it's the exact same pacing. Not to mention the fact that on my last playthrough, there are missing textures and certain areas of the game that are just cubes/empty space. The last section is missing audio files and animations, and was incredibly disatisfying for a storyline with so much potential. I feel the exact same about 2 as I did 1: Interesting plot, beautiful atmosphere, huge potential - all completely wasted on a hurried storyline. Assuming that the devs will continue building the game that I already paid for, I can't recommend it until there's at least a finished game, whether or not the story is any good. Music is still a 10/10 this time though.
It barley runs at 60 fps on 3060ti with lowest settings in full hd without upscaler and frame gen. With upscaler and frame gen image is filled with artefacts and runs at unstablel 80fps. And game not looking that good for such performance. Sadly another victim of urine engine 5.
TL:DR here cos this is gonna be long. I like the idea of this game, and chapter 1 had me hoping it would be better. I cant recommend it though. this game is completely unfinished and should have a big WORK IN PROGRESS sign over it and be in early access. This is not a complete game and needs a lot of work before you should get it unless you already have it and want to help with playtesting. below will be a list of the issues I came across. there are probably some more issues and I plan to add to them here because despite the problems, I do like this game. There are a lot of similarities between Industria 2 and games such as Metro: Exodus and Half life, but it does mostly feel distinct. I love the vibe and aesthetic, and this game can be genuinely terrifying, Theres one specific jump-scare early on that feels great, and initially i thought it was earned because it was a mistake on my part because i knocked a now-obvious glass. It feels like a shame that things like that arent used later when you come across blind enemies with incredible hearing. Nearing the end of chapter 1, everything goes downhill very quickly and it becomes frustrating and aggrevating instead of "good idea but you need to do that again". 1) If you save during dialogue and reload that save, the dialogue does not continue and you cannot access that. 2) several pieces of scenery clip through each other. 3) you have to 'ready' your weapons with right click before you can attack with left click, and the zoom from the first game, where you could use the weapon's sights has been replaced with something less effective. 4) you now open doors and containers by dragging with left click, which is difficult because you don't know which door you are opening for closets with two, and both move in opposite directions so must of the time you are just closing an already closed door. Also that feels clunky and uncomfortable. 5) the torch does not work when using boltcutters 6) there isnt an animation for when you are crawling though several gaps a scene, meaning that your hands just 'pop' out of nowhere 7) some of the dialogue just stops so it feels like sections have been cut out or are missing. 8) NPCs clip through the wall quite often 9) weapon ammo textures look unfinished and out of place. 10) Items like glass bottles do not automatically stack 11) Industria 2 crashes when i Alt+Tab to write this 12) Petrichor being spent is saved but the items and blueprints you buy with them isnt saved when reloading saves 13) there is a door after you see the brute through the floor in the papermill with a wooden bar across it but after destroying the bar, you still cannot open the door 14) the brute bossfight was incredibly underwhelming 15) the FPS tracker remains open after leaving the game 16) the scope for the rifle doesnt do anything 17) NPC mouth doesnt move when talking sometimes. And thats chapter 1 finished. for chapter 2) 1) the torch doesnt work very well 2) at this point I maxed out on electrical components and there wasnt much I could use them for 3) there are a lot of random and seemingly pointless dead ends 4) Marlene doesnt follow you after completing the puzzle with the raising floor tiles 5) the alarm after the wave of enemies just disappears and the lift coming down feels disappointing instead of relieving. 6) weapons in the upgrade area cannot be changed by clicking on the arrows or using the arrow keys. 7) Modulator B was invisible after being used. 8) the game swaps between english and german, sometimes in the same sentence. it was better in the first game where the signs were in german but had english translations when you hover over them. As an english speaker with very little knowledge of german, having no idea what it is but slowly learning throughout the game or guessing when words are similar really added to it. 9) some of the text in Nordman's hideout is completely out of place and jarring 10) the pipes after nordman's hideout are completely unfinished and have things clipping through them. 11) the layout in the wall makes no sense. not in a "this machine is completely incomprehensible" but in a "why the hell is the only way to get to this section of floor a pipe with no other function? why arent there lifts or at least ramps?" kinda way. 12) drawers clip through themselves 13) I have what i think is a better-than-standard computer, and it takes my GPU from 0% to 97%. 14) one of the savepoints in vevelstad is floating 15) the SMG scope upgrade does nothing I'll be honest at this point i gave up. up to the end of chapter 1 was pretty good but thats not enough to convince you to play the rest. I'm excited to see updates but right now id steer clear, best not to ruin the experience for you Chapter 2 has far less thorough testing than chapter 1, the section before getting to the wall seems completely empty and forgotten about. Once youve entered the wall, it seems far too similar to the citadel in half-life 2, but if someone had shot out all of the lights. a subtle reference can be fun if it makes sense but that just feels like i should stop and play half-life 2 again. The heart monitor flatline sound when you die is a fun reference but is jarring and doesnt make sense. Chapter 1 was an exceptional idea with some ideas needing to be ironed out. Chapter 2 was more of a "I forgot to do my homework on the bus to school, ill just copy down my smart sibling's work but do it wrong". honestly, incredibly disappointing. There is a lot to say about this game that is good, though. 1) The monster design is exceptional, and each has a distinct 'screech' they give out when they spot you. Early on, hearing that is terrifying 2) while readying weapons feels weird usually, it actually works for things like the axe. 3) The locations do feel distinct, like you're going somewhere new instead of repeating the same three corridors. 4) the developers are actually trying to fix the issues raised, at least last time i checked. 5) The horror and fear feels earned. jumpscares are avoidable and usually because you didnt pay attention to an enemy who snuck up on you. there is also a persistant tension thanks to the sound design that has you always a little on edge 6) THE NPC YOU HAVE TO WALK WITH DOESNT GO FASTER THAN YOUR WALK SPEED BUT SLOWER THAN YOUR RUN SPEED. i know its minor but if i had to deal with that again id cry Again, thats all in chapter 1 I like this game. I love the story and the vibe enough to be able to overlook the issues i came across. I have a fair bit of hope that it'll improve. In the end, though, this game feels like it should be in early access. I can't recommend a game that feels completely unfinished, no matter how much i love it. TL:DR don't buy it yet unless you wanna hop on discord and help them find faults
The first game was nothing ground breaking, but was enjoyable to explore. The sequel severely and painfully misses even that bar. I should have heeded the bad reviews but even on sale I can't justify it. The sequel is nothing like the original. The original explored an uncanny world, falling apart long after the robot takeover, with surreal, shifting environments. This game is a sad attempt to copy HalfLife 2 with a darker coat of paint. Right from the start it tries to be a horror/stealth game by dropping you in legally distinct Ravenholm with worse lighting. You are forced to run down invisible corridors worse than Final Fantasy 13. Outside and it looks open to walk? Too bad there's invisible walls forcing you down an invisible hallway. The NPC forced on you spouts poorly written exposition and sprints with the most unnatural run cycle I've seen in ages. Horridly outdated mechanics for opening anything. Having to click and drag to open every door, closet, drawer, etc in a game that requires you to check everything for supplies is immediately annoying. Enemies will 2-hit you on normal and that's if you're lucky enough not to be dropped out the bottom of the map when hit and forced to reload your save.
Industrial 2 is an emotional rollercoaster for me. If you enjoyed the first game, I'm pretty sure you'll enjoy this one too. It introduces some much-needed new elements, such as weapon upgrades, weapon mods, inventory and ammo management, grenade crafting, and stealth. All of these additions fit the game really well and were definitely needed. The story is still good and continues directly from where the first game ended. The music and voice acting are great, especially Nora's performance. The atmosphere is also excellent. BUT... and this is a really big but for me. The game has quite a few audio bugs, texture glitches, and, most importantly, a serious lack of level design. While following the story and travelling from A to B, the maps are basically empty—literally. Empty rooms, walls with light coming through them even though there's no lamp or any other light source, and corridors that all look almost identical. Everything just feels empty. Seriously, in one or two places there's literally a single chair sitting in a room, and I'm convinced it was only placed there so the room wouldn't be completely empty. 😂 The first game had some of these issues too, but this is a 2026 game. I know it's a small indie studio, but honestly, I can't really consider this a fully finished game.. Yes, you can finish the game and progress through all the levels, but it feels like it needed at least another six months in the oven. I'm still giving Industrial 2 a positive review because I can see the improvements and the ideas behind it. The developers clearly tried new things, and overall, Industrial 2 is a step forward compared to the first game. I just hope that if we get an Industrial 3, it will be given the extra time it needs to polish out these bugs and level-design issues.
I really waited for this sequel to come out, but boy have I been disappointed - it's worse in literally every aspect, even including the graphics (except a few outdoor areas and the phenomenal water rendering in the outro). It's obviously unfinished, most interiors missing any assets, couldn't they have just bought some and thrown it in? The story was fine, but also nothing to write home about in comparison to the awesome first game. Not to mention the bugs...
