TROUBLESHOOTER: Abandoned Children is the first season of a turn-based strategy SRPG that takes place in the world of Troubleshooter.

Valhalla is a free trading nation erected by three world powers for their own benefits after the world war. In an attempt to control the nation, the three world powers banned the army from Valhalla. Due to these circumstances, public order in Valhalla is always unstable and thus after ten years the Valhalla government made a bold decision.
The Valhalla government granted civilians the right to investigate and arrest criminals in order to lower the rising crime rate. People call them Troubleshooter.
10 years have passed since the introduction of the troubleshooter system. Albus, a 20-year-old young man, becomes an official troubleshooter. Albus first starts his company on his own but soon takes in many colleagues as he solves more cases. All these new members of the company have their own motivations and stories. You will be experiencing a variety of missions in Valhalla through their stories.

All characters in Troubleshooter have their own unique classes. Each character can rank up to the upper class, and the role of your character changes according to the class.
All characters in Troubleshooter can acquire various masteries according to their levels and classes. Furthermore, you can activate additional effects by combinations of masteries. Utilizing this, you can make a character for your unique strategy.
Such masteries can be acquired by leveling your character up. However, in most cases, you can acquire masteries from enemies. In other words, you can take your enemies' unique traits and apply them to your characters.
There are more than 100 unique missions in Troubleshooter. All missions are designed independently, and all of them have their own unique circumstances.
Troubleshooter uses more than 500 cut scenes to portray the story.
As new characters join your company, playable content will be unlocked according to their roles. For example, if you recruit a hunter character, you will be able to tame beasts. You will be able to craft drones if you recruit engineers.

For scale, across Steam · Top Sellers · Poland over the last 30 days: the 21 chart moves that followed a price cut of more than 20% went a median of 12 places towards #1, and the 2,501 moves with no price cut behind them went 1 away. One store, one chart, one country — it is the only place we have enough observations to say even that.
Prices outside the United States have been collected since 6 August 2026 and chart positions since 19 July 2026, so a cut older than that has no market to compare and a market that joined later has no history yet. Nothing here is converted between currencies.

I like the character design and apparently the mechanics are quite interesting but I'm not sure I'll ever get that far because the English translation is so terrible. This makes the story and dialogue incredibly bland at the best of times and frustrating and eye-rolling at the worst. Because of this I can't get invested in the story or characters at all. This game seems to get positive comments regarding the game play mechanics and it just seems like such a waste that the game developers haven't paid to get a proper translation.
I've spent 90hrs in this game. And I loved it so much. Persona meets XCOM sorta vibes. That also breaks out some pokemon mechanics 50hrs into the game. There is a LOT here. And if you are willing to engage with all the menus and mechanics and sub systems in this game. You'll have a rollicking good time. And I'm leaving a positive review because I want the devs to make more. But I can't really recommend this to many people. It's so niche. And even for me, I want a LOT more out of the characters and writting. It is very shallow in that aspect, and when you are sinking many hours into a game that is propelled by the narrative and characters. It means you can get 90hrs in... and not see credits (such as myself). The gameplay loop is a lot of fun. But it does eventually get repetitive. I feel like the more I talk about this game, the worse off it comes across. But my first statement still stands. 90hrs, and I don't regret a second. I want more... I just want it better. I guess I'm greedy like that.
I love strategic games, turn based games etc. For a long time I searched for a game like Xcom/Darkest Dungeon but with actual characters as playable characters instead of just some units I can discard, I have no emotional connection to. Characters that have their own stories, feeling with their own agendas and beliefs, their own lifes. This game is EXACTLY that. Story was really, really good imo. Characters are awesome. Story always kept me on my toes, there are some good plot twists here and there. For mechanics this game has it ALL. Mastery system is just amazing. You can make the characters in so many ways BUT with their unique styles, classes and abilities they still play accordingly to their character (well if you REALLY want it you can make them something else probably with all the masteries and items but idk if it would be optimal). This is really difficult to achieve. But they've done it. The gameplay really syncs with the characters. The game has a TON of content. There are unique beasts to capture, unique gear to find/craft, unique masteries etc. You don't HAVE to do them btw. I only got 1 unique beast and even that wasn't really needed I just equipped whatever dropped and completed the game on Hard. But they bring a lot of new ways to play if you go for them. As negatives there is obvious some jank in the game like some things aren't as fluid as AAA games but that's very normal. I also think some things maybe removed from the game if it means faster development and tighter focus. For example I don't really think drones and beasts add too much to the game. Game already has way too mechanics. A little bit simpler (especially at the beginning) would make the game easier for newcomers. On this note crafting system should be much simpler imo. It's not complicated per se but there is too much items and too much steps to create top gear. I think you've hit some gold with story, characters and masteries but simplying some systems could be better both for you and for more casual players. Overall I just want to thank the Dev team for this game and their continued support. I still have DLC to play but I just know it will be just as good. I'm really looking forward to see where the story will go. Edit : Waiting for updates on the next game!! Edit 2 : I've seen somewhere where a Dev said there were critism that script was too long? Well for me the story, characters and dialogues were the best part of the game. Plus the artwork. Those artworks are really, really gorgeus whoever draws them is a genius. Just wanted to add my opinion.
