Vermilion Sea is an upcoming strategy RPG that combines classic, time-tested tactical gameplay with a rich world inspired by Chinese and Korean history.
You'll follow Emi on her journey to become a proper captain at the naval academy, defend the Samyu Republic from pirates, and uncover a conspiracy to corrupt the nation from within.

Classic, grid-based combat: tried and true! Enemies become allies as you meet new characters and recruit them to fight alongside you.
Talk to your allies
…and learn their unique stories and motivations. They might give you insights on how the next battle is going to go, or report helpful news and rumors.
Many of these discussions will take place as base conversations that happen at the ship in-between chapters. Of course, your crew might have things to say on the battlefield, too!
Manage your Ship and your Resources
Strategize both on and off of the battlefield—the logistics of running a ship and keeping your army well-equipped are crucial!
Vermilion Sea begins with six linear chapters. After that, you'll select which missions to undertake—there's no time to complete them all before the pirates attack. Each mission will reward you with gold, supplies, weapons, or perhaps even a new recruit. Choose wisely!
