Love the Tropico games, of all the City Builder type games these always seem the most fun to play. Easy to learn but difficult to master and numerous times my carefully planned city/economy has tanked in later eras. If I have one complaint it is with road building, which seems to have a mind of its own and often does not allow roads to be built even when there is no impediment to them being constructed. The ways that businesses often fail to attach to roads is also a frustration. But overall, you can have hours of relaxing fun playing Tropico 6. I am still working through all the individual missions - I think I would have preferred a main campaign rather than individual disparate missions, but it does not make the game any less of an enjoyable time sink. Runs fine on the whole, with the occasional Unreal engine stutter, but nothing game breaking.
It's good. They added a lot. However, the research mechanic is one of the worst things ever added to a game. Instead of being able to hire a minister and pay a fee like in previous games, you have to A. Be in the right time period in history. B. Build Libraries and build research points. C. Spend the research points on the law and pay a monthly fee (in-game time). This is terrible and it breaks the feel of being a benevolent dictator almost entirely. I hope they don't use this feature, or at least make it optional, in Tropico 7.

Игра ощущается крайне странной. Это моя первая стратегия и я не могу сказать, что игра сложная, нет. Скорее она не интуитивная, от слова совсем. Чтобы разобраться в игре, пройти обучение – этого очень мало. Пришлось смотреть обзоры, так как каждую миссию компании моя экономика улетала в минус ровно до первого корабля, который приходит в порт. Далее немного поднимал деньги, потом они снова улетали в минус. Я было решил, что проблема во мне – я явно нуб в стратегиях. Но нет, это фишка игры – живёшь на дотации от других государств и молишься на то, чтобы успели подвести товары в порт, иначе деньги могут просесть до -50к, а это считается поражением. Я делал всё как в гайдах, не строил долгое время развлечений и делал акцент на экономике, но вы всё равно будете улетать в минус по деньгам. Короче, поиграв 33 часа могу заявить: это не та стратегия, с которой нужно начинать знакомство с жанром. Возможно, с жанром вообще не стоит знакомиться, если нет желания тратить уйму часов на обучение игре. Радует только то, что взял по большой скидке
