I have been through ups and downs with CA, and yes they have made some exceptionally terrible decisions through my time playing Total War. All in all, I would recommend this game 100% make sure you install the mode disabling small sieges, and do your best to "auto" sieges because the Pathing is atrocious in siege battles (a problem they didn't have in 2). With more than 3k hours between Warhammer 1 & 2 I simply cannot not recommend this game, warts and all.
The game is fun for what it is. There are a lot of balancing issues that need attention however that's not the reason I'm not recommending it. I waited until it was discounted to pick up the game and try it and most of the game is locked behind microtransactions. I beat the prologue and only about a third of the campaigns are actually available after buying the game. In order to be able to play them all it would be over $100. It feels like a total bait and switch.
Fantastic game! Just be careful you don't stay up too late playing it when you have to go to work in the morning...

Another installment of buy half a game and then pay 2/3 of the original price for the whole thing. This is the last one i will be buying until they start selling complete editions.
