Discounts
Every price cut of more than 20% we have observed, in each market that quoted one, with this game's chart position on either side of it. These are episodes, not a model: a sale is one event, and one event cannot tell you what the next one will do.
Reviews, worldwide (the counter carries no country): 1.57/day in the week to Aug 25 → 1.14/day in the week after.
For scale, across Steam · Top Sellers · Brazil over the last 30 days: the 25 chart moves that followed a price cut of more than 20% went a median of 10 places towards #1, and the 2,413 moves with no price cut behind them went 2 away. One store, one chart, one country — it is the only place we have enough observations to say even that.
Prices outside the United States have been collected since 6 August 2026 and chart positions since 19 July 2026, so a cut older than that has no market to compare and a market that joined later has no history yet. Nothing here is converted between currencies.

I'm posting this review to talk future me out of touching Underworld again. Every couple of years I reinstall it and swear to finish the LAU trilogy. I think to myself, "Sure, I've abandoned this game a few times, but I can power through it on easy mode at least." Maybe I could, but it's not worth the hassle. Every part of this game has something wrong with it. The first and biggest problem is the camera. Underworld has quite possibly the worst camera I've ever encountered in a AAA game. The constant jittering and forcing of angles gets me dizzy, even as someone who has been playing games all of his life. There's no way to disable the auto-centering. Climbing limits how far the camera can turn, so you often have to make leaps of faith. Wall-to-wall jumps look like a damn earthquake. Second, the "smart" platforming often isn't. Underworld has the same automatic snap-to-handhold system as the other LAU games. It's supposed to clearly telegraph your jumps, but it actually makes every leap feel like a gamble. Lara might catch that pole, or she might have a brainfart and plummet to her death. You don't know, there's no quicksave, and saves are tied to checkpoints anyway. So if the snapping mechanic doesn't work you're doing a lot of work all over again. This was a problem in LAU generally, but it's especially bad here. Then there are a bunch of little things. Lara controls awkwardly when you sprint. The circular menus feel awful to navigate with a mouse. The collectibles approach Crackdown levels of ridiculous for no real reward, like they're only there to punish completionists. Combat feels way more punishing than the other LAU games (I could just suck), but lowering the difficulty doesn't fix the other problems. I love Tomb Raider, and I miss pre-Survivor Lara, but Underworld just isn't fun. You're better off watching a movie version on YouTube.

Either this game has aged terribly, or the Steam version is trash, because I couldn’t force myself through the first post-tutorial level. The controls are awful. Walking’s slow, sometimes jumping against a ledge will grab you onto the wall and cause you to jump off, you can barely even control your wall jumps, the camera fights you at every opportunity, even when you’re trying to direct it with the joystick, and don’t me get started on the rope-climbing. This was released for PS3, not PS1, what’s with the jank? To be fair, I was a bit slow to figure out some of the puzzles and to use the sonar. Some solutions felt obvious after I looked them up, like you have to pull this gear out, and when it tells you to throw the blocks, you throw them beyond the door, but these still managed to have other problems. It’s so unnecessarily difficult to throw the weighted blocks straight, and setting them down causes collision issues that kicks them out of place! Also, to the person who said you just have to turn on V-Sync to fix the issue, no, it doesn’t. I said that I should’ve figured out you have to pull on the gear during the octopus puzzle. Thing is, I did figure that out, but Lara was shaking her head whenever I pressed the button for pulling, and the movement was so slow that it made me think it wasn’t working. Real great communication. I guess to make up for that, there’s a “hidden secret” jingle that plays twice per hallway telling me there’s a collectible nearby I can’t be bothered to find, and I can’t turn it off! Maybe this isn’t representative of the game. I sure didn’t get far, but I don’t feel like dealing with this stuff for hours, not even to look at Lara’s weird frog legs when she’s climbing.
This is my favorite Tomb Raider game, but it's also the worst when it comes to its PC port. Full of bugs, physics based on framerate, horrible camera, crashes, etc. Either play the Xbox 360 version or wait and hope it receives the same remaster treatment as the classic games.
Infelizmente fui com altas expectativas. É um jogo bonito e eu AMO os jogos da lara croft, mas este é muito bugado :( não consegui nem aproveitar o início de jogo, travou bastante e o puzzle bugou todo. decepcionante...
Just make sure to turn on V_Sync. I had loads of gameplay bugs without it.
Good game, peak 2008 material. I was pleasantly surprised by the graphics, they look surprisingly good in some cutscenes. In general the state of the PC port isn't as bad as I'm used to from a game from 2008. Lara's appearance is somewhere on the edge between overdone blow-up doll and just really pretty and too based for the woke 2026. Her voice and facial expressions during cutscenes communicate playful malice or something like that idk, which I like. The levels and platforming are nice, felt a little janky, but that's probably because I was playing at 60 fps with Vsync and this game was probably designed for a 30 fps lock like many games of that era. Overall a based, short and sweet game, recommended
Replayed after years and the entire Southern Mexico part still makes me want to stop living
good game buy it but there are some bugs and problems but its very easy to solve
