This is mainly a warning for folks, rather than a full indictment of the game. The game itself is genuinely great. It's flashy, well-paced, great music, and there's loads of interesting content. However, the developer has still not bothered to add a "save run" function to the game, which means you are expected to do 1 to 1.5 hour runs without any breaks. It's very frustrating that the developer hasn't added this yet, and it doesn't seem like they're planning on doing it anytime soon.

As a value for money proposition it's second to none. Fantastic example of that "one more run" kind of addictive gameplay. Screen clarity can definitely be an issue on later floors, and i don't ever see a good reason to take a very short range weapon over a longer range one. Top tier game though.
If you like a roguelite, its just worth it. Even if it is simple pixelgraphics its WORTH IT!
RUBY DEV, PLS FFS PUSH AN UPDATE ALREADY, SOMETHING, ANYTHING, EVEN IF ITS SMALL IDC JUST PUSH SOMETHING NEW FOR US TO PLAY, I HAVE JUST OVER 100 HOURS IN THIS GAME AND HAVEN'T TOUCHED IT IN OVER A YEAR BECAUSE THERE HAS BEEN NOTHING NEW ADDED, I LOVE THE DOWN TO EARTH DEV BLOGS AND INSIGHT INTO WHAT YOUR WORKING ON AND DOING AND I GET IT, ♥♥♥♥ COMES UP, LIFE HAPPENS BUT PLS JUST PUSH A FAQING UPDATE ALREADY GIVE ME ANYTHING.
Having played both Hades, Deadcells, and all the other action roguelikes of lesser notoriety, I can say this is my favorite. The game oozes with passion, is constantly updated despite being led by a single person, and is simple where it needs to be and incredibly complex where it needs to be. ie: the controls and basic game mechanics are easy to pick up, but the build-craft as you unlock characters and items and learn how to skew a run's RNG in your favor is very complex. I can go months without playing it and randomly get a whim to launch the game for a run or two out of nowhere, and few other roguelikes do that for me once I've put them down. Also, the game is the price of a fast food meal.
I think this might be the first review I've ever left on Steam, but this game is genuinely a masterpiece. Near-infinite replayability, tight controls, satisfying gameplay and an incredibly passionate dev. Tiny Rogues is already in the best state of any Early Access game I've seen on this platform, and regular devposts leave me to believe the horizon is even brighter. 10/10

Payed 10 bucks for a game that says its in early access despite having more content then half the games In my library, some being full on triple a games. Pixel graphics are perfect and the bosses are fantastic, including the last few. Prepare to be insulted and have your ego shattered including when you get "death claims another" countless times til you ascend to God hood only to die to eternity, this game will make you want to strangle yourself nonetheless. Jokes aside, good game, one of the best in the genre imo, excited to see where exactly it goes from now to 1.0
