Thymesia is a fast and aggressive Souls-like with super satisfying combat and cool plague weapon abilities, though the world feels a bit empty and it doesn't overstay its welcome. Solid if you want something Bloodborne-ish.
Well the bosses were okay, I guess. And to be fair maybe the small amount of customization you can do, like enabling blocking, but as a tradeoff you're parries don't do damage (I think is what it was, I didn't use it) is a positive as well. Oh and performance was fine, but that should be expected with this game. That's about it. Non-boss enemies are horribly designed. They're either doing non-telegraphed instant jabs, or 5-second wind-up attacks. In either case you're left guessing when to parry. I guessed wrong about 85% of the time. You can unlock skills and there is also a mechanic where you can steal one time use abilities from enemies. These are completely useless. All you need to do is
parry the combo sequences then use heavy attack until the next sequence, mixing in some light attacks where you can.
Since the non-boss enemies are so bad, what I did is just run through entire levels, pretty much straight to the boss, and just fighting it. Suddenly it's a 4 hour game. If you want something like Sekiro, then you might like it though.

14 of 15 markets; the rest we haven't asked for this title, not markets where it is unavailable.
14 on sale1 answered “not sold”0 we did not ask
The 1 “not sold” market is read from the Steam price pass of Aug 25: that day the store answered for this game elsewhere and gave no price there. The 14 priced markets are the same rows as the table above — each the latest price we hold, dated here when it is older than that pass. The 0 marked “not asked” were not put to this store at all — either it has no storefront there or we do not collect it yet, and neither is a statement about the game. A refusal is a refusal on one day; a store can list a title again tomorrow.

For scale, across Steam · Top Sellers · Poland over the last 30 days: the 21 chart moves that followed a price cut of more than 20% went a median of 12 places towards #1, and the 2,501 moves with no price cut behind them went 1 away. One store, one chart, one country — it is the only place we have enough observations to say even that.
Prices outside the United States have been collected since 6 August 2026 and chart positions since 19 July 2026, so a cut older than that has no market to compare and a market that joined later has no history yet. Nothing here is converted between currencies.

Thymesia es un juegazo. Si te gusta los souls muy probablemente te guste este juego.
TL;DR: An amazing Soulslike. Although very short, it deserves much more praise and recognition than it gets. 9/10 Longer Version Thymesia is a Soulslike that follows a more streamlined Sekiro/Bloodborne approach, with less customization and a fast-paced, parry-centered combat system. It's from a small indie developer, but it's very good and incredibly fluid. Let's break it down. Combat and Customization: The combat is very fluid, and the hitboxes are nearly perfect, if not completely perfect. The game features the Wound system, which functions as a sort of virtual health bar. If you only attack with your saber, enemies will still have wounds remaining that must be depleted with your claws before you can bring them down. You also have throwing daggers (Feathers), potions, and a good selection of Plague Weapons that, together with the talent tree and attributes, help shape your playstyle. There are no armor sets, nor any way to change your main saber. My only gripe with the combat is the feedback from saber attacks. I don't know why, but it sometimes feels like I'm hitting enemies with a wet towel. Even after upgrading my basic attacks, I was still left with that feeling throughout the game. Other than that, I really enjoyed both the combat and the Plague Weapon system. Boss Battles: We can't talk about a Soulslike without mentioning the bosses, and I have to say I liked them quite a bit. Once you get a grasp of the parry and dodge mechanics, they provide a very satisfying challenge. The game even includes two gimmick bosses, which I also enjoyed. They're not exactly legendary encounters, although the final optional boss was very challenging for me, and overcoming it was a lot of fun. Exploration: Many people don't care much about exploration in Soulslikes, but I enjoy it a lot. As I mentioned before, this game is very short. It only has three main areas, each with some shortcuts and secrets to discover. Instead of relying on the usual Soulslike backtracking, the game uses a side-mission system that sends you back to the same areas, but with different paths opened or closed, different enemy placements, and optional bosses. It's a fun system, although it brings me to the topic that made me remove one point from my final score. Amd its kets you replay the same arra and same bosses over and over again. Enemy Variety: Unfortunately, the game doesn't have a large pool of enemies. You can encounter almost all of them in the first main area and its side missions. I understand that's because it's a small indie game, but it's worth mentioning since it could be a major disappointment for some players. Fortunately, the game is very short. Even if you explore everything and aim to reach max level while unlocking all Plague Weapons, it shouldn't take more than 15–20 hours. As a result, it doesn't overstay its welcome. Conclusion: Thymesia is a very good, well-designed, small-scale Soulslike that will entertain and challenge you for a couple of days before you move on to a larger game. 9/10
I didn't like the dark atmosphere but given that it is part of the plot, i will not consider it as a malus. Now i will cut to the chase for whom is interested on the achievements: the collectibles are bugged. You might not be able to 100% this game because few "lore collectibles" does not get registered in your item list after you pick them up. This is why i do not reccoment this game to the achievements hunters. Other achievements are fairly easy with the exception of the boss tutorial one The gameplay is.. fair. With the exeption of the first (not tutorial) boss, the others can be beaten in less than 3 tries. It depend how quick you get used to the combat mechanic and how quick you learn to exploit some skills. Mmhh lets say just that you dont need to learn and memorize the the mob/boss pattern if you spam.. something ( its up to you understand what i mean). All in all is an OK game, 6.5/10.
This game really surprised me. I went in expected a janky, wanna-be soulslike experience. The combat felt weighty, precise, and satisfying. Sure, it's not Lies of P or Sekiro (this is a parry game), but it was definitely a great experience. I also enjoyed how short it was and how dense most of the levels were. The drawback (or bonus) depending on who you are is that the story isn't very well told even through the lore bits. I basically never engaged with it after realizing this. Also, there aren't any very important NPCs outside of the girl. All sidequests are contained through rerunning the levels you had already completed. It's really just a souls like experience with a lot of the extra bits stripped away. This actually makes it very satisfying if you're looking for that souls combat fix without the extra effort or commitment. Anyways, really cool game. I definitely expected it to be far worse, and it was a huge win for me.
I had a great time with this game, perfect balance in gameplay, definitely worth trying
