About
In a world where mysterious plants are spreading all over the earth, emitting toxic spores as they grow, a small group of survivors seeks shelter on the back of a giant, wandering creature they call 'Onbu'.
Become their leader, build their settlement and form a symbiotic relationship with Onbu to survive together in this hostile, yet beautiful post-apocalyptic world.
A functioning village is the basis of your survival. Build your settlement and expand it over Onbu’s back. Plan production chains and optimise them to utilise the limited space as efficiently as possible. Create a society that can overcome any challenge.
Living on the back of another organism comes with its own set of challenges. Will you live in symbiosis, bond with Onbu and survive on mutual trust? Or will you become a parasite, only aiming to ensure a better life for your villagers? The choice is yours.
Continuously adapt your village as you travel through a multitude of different biomes, each with its unique climate zones, opportunities and threats. Scout your environments and send out foraging missions to gather rare resources and ancient artefacts.
Remnants of the old world hold knowledge that has long been forgotten, but can be unearthed by your villagers. Find and research these technologies, but use them wisely, as progress can be a double-edged sword.
Ensure the survival of both your villagers and your Onbu, even though poisonous spores, merciless weather, bloodsucking parasites and many more challenges mean that the odds are often stacked against you.

Reviews
I do think it gets a bit busy, but I like it. I did not finish my 1st run, after a long time between playing I restarted the run for a fresh start and I have been enjoying it even more now. I have been learning to use the game to its potential this time around, too. xD Controller feel pretty good to use as well. Onbu is so very cute, yes.
Great game, right up to the point it forces you in a quest to torture an animal with no way to refuse. The ♥♥♥♥ is wrong with you people?

For scale, across Steam · Top Sellers · Brazil over the last 30 days: the 26 chart moves that followed a price cut of more than 20% went a median of 7 places towards #1, and the 2,400 moves with no price cut behind them went 2 away. One store, one chart, one country — it is the only place we have enough observations to say even that.
Prices outside the United States have been collected since 6 August 2026 and chart positions since 19 July 2026, so a cut older than that has no market to compare and a market that joined later has no history yet. Nothing here is converted between currencies.

Just an amazing game. It keeps you moving, Always switching the gameplay style in order to accomplish different objectives. All while delivering an amazing hand drawn art, and a great soundtrack. I would definately live on an Onbu.
Village must grow... Onbu must stay happy... Heal it, pet it, feed it... Feed your villagers to it... Onbu stays happy... (really liked gameplay, challenges, micro managing and that need to be alerted all the time, specially when biome changed and everything changes with it)
Points positifs :
The best studio ghibli-inspired game I never knew I needed. Cozy, endearing, emotional, and cute, this game is the city builder I think I've always wanted!
Amazing game. I remember playing this game before the full version released - it was clearly unfinished and felt a little empty, but even still, I loved the game then. When I heard that the full version had released I bought it right away. Immediately, you're greeted with a beautiful, Ghibli-style animation of an onbu city. In the days of mass-produced AI it was so refreshing to see a beautiful animation by real people. The visuals, in my opinion, are incredibly charming. It's a mix of 3d environments with 2d buildings and characters, and everything is given so much love and detail. I especially love the onbu, he's adorable. Even if it's not realistic, it doesn't need to be. The style is wonderful. The concept is super cool as well. You're building a village that travels on top of a giant dinosaur's back, and you must form a relationship with him in order to survive. The main threat is a poisonous species of fungus that grows more prevalent throughout the game. As for the story, from what I've played it's made with love and thought. It helps tie the game together excellently. I played before the story was implemented and I love it so far. As for the gameplay, it seems simple enough. There's been plenty of civilization builders, but this one stands out in it's concept of a constantly changing environment and forming a symbiotic relationship with your dinosaur buddy. My only complaint is it can sometimes get a little same-y. Overall this game is phenomenal. If you like civilization builders, definitely give this game a try. onbu my beloved
