The Swapper

One of those gems from the first Indie game boom. What a cool puzzle game. Similar to a 2D portal, but with a focus on body (or bodies) placement, not portals. Fairly short, and can't decide after the first few acts to be a precision puzzle platformer or a more cerebral, heady puzzler, but it's strengths lie in the latter, not it's precision parts. Cool sci-fi story too. Achievements are bugged, but that shouldn't matter. 8/10

There was no way I could finish the game without a bit of help, but it's worth trying before you do check a longplay or a guide. It's a challenging puzzle game wrapped in an enigmatic premise, with that modern game storytelling phenomenon of leaving bits of story around for you to read, if you care to do so. You can ignore the story and just solve the puzzles, of course. Get it on sale and give it a try.

Very solid logic puzzles, some that were a lot more challenging than I expected given the very limited rule set. The story was alright, interesting enough. However, the achievements are utter trash, there is simply no way anyone would find them all without some kind of a guide; those aren't achievements, those are an absolute waste of time. The achievements should have been locked behind puzzle completion as some are quite challenging and after all they are the whole point of the game. The hidden panels didn't add anything to the narrative. This is a masterclass in how NOT to implement achievements; particularly in a puzzle game. shame.

The Swapper was a surreal puzzle-platforming experience. I didn't always know what was going on, but I do know that I had a good time. The ending, in particular, stood out to me as one of my favourite moments in games. It combined gameplay and story perfectly. Of course, the rest of the game was good too. I'd recommend it.

SOMA oynayan birileri bu oyunu da oynadıysa klonlara ne olduğunu bildiği için eminim oyunun sonunda Swap etmemiştir. Ben edemedim en azından. Bir oyunda verebileceğiniz en ikilemde bırakacak etik kararlardan birine sahip. Tüylerim diken diken olmuş halde birkaç dakika bomboş ekrana baktım sonrasında. Puzzle sevdalısı olarak fikre de uygulamaya da saygı duydum, bu oyunu bu kadar geç keşfetmiş olmak da benim ayıbım olsun. Bazı puzzle'lar çok ince detaylar barındırıyor ve 2D bir platform puzzle için gerçekten zor, yardım almadan geçemedim. Oyun Metroidvania türüne de giriyor sanırım, tercihlerinize göre backtracking ve harita keşfi gerektiriyor.

10 sene sonra oynadım, çok güzel bulmacalarla dolu, hikayesi olan ustalıkla yapılmış bir "basit" oyun. Çiçek gibi.
