Many years ago, when the Earth was ruled by chaos and anarchy, when a tribe crushed another tribe for wealth and to please the gods. In the cradle of the Apennine Peninsula a kingdom has been born, which will become the greatest empire and conquer all of the ancient world.

This is not a strategy game, it's simply a clicker game with a map. Resources do nothing, research does nothing, there is no city development. Not worth any time.
As of this moment i definatly do not recommend this game, for sure not at the full price. The idea behind Legions of Rome is decent. But the execution of it has failed misserable somewhere along the line. # Bugs When switching from Windowed mode to full screen I couldnt even move my cursor etc. #FIXED NOW!! By Developer! # The one soundtrack, gets really badly on your nerves!! # Artstyle seems to be okey at first but everything is re-used instantly. # And Gameplay is extremely repetative. # The AI didnt challange me allot. You might lose the first time but after that you easily know how to defeat them. They also do pretty much the same thing over and over again. As of Now Do NOt buy this game! The might of Rome Is Disgraced by this Game!
It's an interesting game but there's just a real lack of meat on the bones. 30 minutes into the game and it's "what you see is what you get". The combat is interesting to say the least but having to scroll around the battlefield to move your units around is probably the most problematic part of it amd personally I think it should all take place on one screen that you didn't have to move around so you could move your units where they need to go more easily. The combat is pretty much the bulk of the game, which is essentially letting your encampments generate troops in which you drag-n-drop them to other encampments to take them over until you ultimately claim them for yourself, while the AI is doing the exact same thing so you have to prioritize from where you're sending your troops and to where to make the best out of your attack while not leaving yourself completely vulnerable for an attack yourself and it's this aspect of the game that definitely shines. There's resources that your citizens can gather which you can set priority of each resource but the game feels so empty and heartless at its core that half the time you forget it's even there or even really care about it and your main focus is doing the combat. At the end of the day this just feels like an empty mobile game with no soul to it. I never feel like I'm working to an ultimate goal or really accomplishing anything in this game other than taking over cities for no real purpose aside from bragging rights. Though it's really hard to complain at its current price but there are so many games that do what this game does and do it better for a little extra cash.
Fun and simple game but you have to be really fast Your camps generate units, u have to use enough units to take over other camps, those camps will generate more units, do this fast enough to beat the levels https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=IHVoB4AaqhM
short version: don't buy it. Don't get it, even if its free... long version: 1. buggy. all 2 - 3 battles the game crashes. gray screen with music, but no reaction. only restart helps. So you play a minute, and have to restart. (Win7, in community hub there are similar problems described) 2. cannot complete campaign. if you conquer egypt, there are 3 cities you cannot select for attack. They are too far down on the map. But you are not allowed to attack other cities, you have to follow the campaign. So your world domination is unreachable. 3. boring game... for the battels there are only 3 maps. so after ca. 5 battles you know all maps, and there will be nothing new. The same maps... again... and again... and again... until you reach point 2 and get stuck. 4. stupid AI. not possibility to change difficulty. --> the challenge is not the game. The challenge is to get enough patience to not give up on point 1, until you get stuck in point 2. And this was verry frustrating... -.-
This is a game that looks like there is a little something to it, maybe a slightly more complex version of a free browser game, but nothing is hooked up. Every match is the same, adjusting your economy makes no real difference, and the technology, assuming it does something other then boost your meaningless economy by a tiny amout, is useless. Maybe this game will get better with time, but for now, its barely a 1 out of 10
Absolute Krapp of a game. Its a point and click, no strategy, no tactics...its just point and click. Don't let the pictures fool you into thinking this is anything more.
I want to love this game. It has a lot of good things right, but... I sum it all up good in this video: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=c1vl4rngdaQ&feature=youtu.be Pros: Nice art style Easy to read Somewhat easy to understand gameplay Battle gameplay is really good, reminds me of older flash games. Cons: Music is short and on a loop Hard to get into the game from the start Game softlocks and won't let me concure a second city Can only play as rome. As I said, I want to love this game, but at its current state, the game is not worth your time or money. Sorry developers, you did a good game, but it is far from perfect, or even complete. Final score: 4/10 Shows potential
