Picking up shortly after The Legend of Heroes: Trails in the Sky, Estelle travels across Liberl in search of Joshua. The journey involves more than seeking loved ones, however, as the Bracer Guild also tasks her with unraveling the mysteries behind the newly unveiled Society of Ouroboros.

Discounts
Every price cut of more than 20% we have observed, in each market that quoted one, with this game's chart position on either side of it. These are episodes, not a model: a sale is one event, and one event cannot tell you what the next one will do.
Reviews, worldwide (the counter carries no country): 0.71/day in the week to Sep 3 → 1.14/day in the week after.
For scale, across Steam · Top Sellers · Brazil over the last 30 days: the 23 chart moves that followed a price cut of more than 20% went a median of 14 places towards #1, and the 2,420 moves with no price cut behind them went 2 away. One store, one chart, one country — it is the only place we have enough observations to say even that.
Prices outside the United States have been collected since 6 August 2026 and chart positions since 19 July 2026, so a cut older than that has no market to compare and a market that joined later has no history yet. Nothing here is converted between currencies.

If the First Chapter was a very solid prologue, this is where all the meat of the story is. Once again, amazing worldbuilding, characters, story, systems. A true masterpiece. It's weird recommending this game to anybody because, in the end, you HAVE to play the First Chapter in order to enjoy this one, and by that point, you'll probably know if you like the series or not, but if you're still unsure, this is still more of the same, but with many, many improvements in QoL and with the systems, but it's still the very same style of game in the end.
Second part of the trilogy that gives an extremely satisfying ending. Play Fc first, don't even look at this store page before finishing it.

En mi opinion, el mejor de la primera trilogía con un desenlace super chulo. Todo lo demas, muy en la linea de lo que propone el primero.
agate crosner is the man
I continued directly from 1st remake and it connected beautifully. I would say SC's plot is quite cliche, but it doesn't mean it is boring or not enganging, I just expected more twists to the story. Nevertheless, Still a great game. I will excuse myself since I need to complete 3rd game now
I was too impatient waiting for the Second Chapter remake, so I bought this on impulse during a sale. This game is amazing, one the best JRPGs I've ever played. Looking forward for the remake.
Started playing after finishing the remake of FC. Well worth it, even going back to the old mechanics. Brilliant JRPG story and some of the best, most likable characters I've ever had the chance to interact with and play as. This series is what I always wanted Dragon Quest to feel like and I'm sad it took this long to hop aboard the train.
hell yeah
There's like 3 scenes in this game that I consider some of the most moving scenes I have ever witnessed. Most of the gameplay is pretty whatever though. Also, I struggle to think any female character produced by Japan to be as entertaining as Estelle in recent memory. Like to name some female characters I like: I can think of Kaguya Shinomiya and Misaki Tobisawa and Beatrice from Umineko. Female characters aren't really allowed to "do stuff" I guess you can say, but she kind of just girlbosses her way to the finish line, despite being not particularly OP in verse or anything. A spectacular display of agency. Estelle is amazing and I don't even know where to start on the glaze. Like a top 5 female character for me rn.
