Game wont start. Black screen on intro

For scale, across Steam · Top Sellers · Brazil over the last 30 days: the 26 chart moves that followed a price cut of more than 20% went a median of 7 places towards #1, and the 2,402 moves with no price cut behind them went 2 away. One store, one chart, one country — it is the only place we have enough observations to say even that.
Prices outside the United States have been collected since 6 August 2026 and chart positions since 19 July 2026, so a cut older than that has no market to compare and a market that joined later has no history yet. Nothing here is converted between currencies.

Its a really fun roughlite game. My only complaint is that the endgame is fairly boring. Spoilers, but once you reach the final area, you only really need 1 or 2 more runs and you have all the upgrades unlocked, and the endgame modifiers aren't really fun in my opinion, they just make the run slightly more inconvinient to complete. I will say I enjoyed my first 24 hours with it. It was that final grind for the last achievements that kinda sucked the fun out of it. 7/10 overall.
Frustrating. Good GFX and Sound. Feels like there could be a good game here somewhere but it got lost along the way. Too many Mechanics are Annoying. Tutorial is Awful, Camera Obscures the Environment/Enemies, Combat is imprecise, Looting gets Tedious, Reloading Sucks, Interactions are Awkward Click/Hold, Stealth seems Broken or Pointless, Constantly getting Stuck on the Environment, Can`t see Environment Bounds, NPC Interaction is Awful, Enemies are Invincible if they Fall over a Railing, Unlocks are Gated behind Repeated Grind. If it Played a little Better Some of this Wouldn`t be a Problem. The FTL style Roguelight just doesn`t Best Suit the Game, a Full City Map would have Worked Better for Exploration and Looting/Base Building, it`s too Fragmented. You can see the Potential for a Better Game but it`s Not Quite Realised. It is What it Is and it`s Mostly just Mildly Annoying, but I Wouldn`t Recommend it.
⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️☆ (minus one star because I died to my own optimism) The Last Stand: Aftermath is the kind of zombie game that looks at you dead in the eyes and says, “You will die. A lot. Please stop getting attached.” And honestly? I respect that. You play as a survivor who is already infected, which is a bold narrative choice that translates to: every run is a countdown until your character coughs politely and then collapses into a pile of regrets. The game is roguelite, meaning progression is permanent, but your survivor is extremely temporary—like a mayfly with a backpack and a shotgun. Combat feels solid and crunchy. Smacking zombies with a crowbar is satisfying in a “this will absolutely not save me in the long run” kind of way. Guns feel good, ammo feels rare, and every decision feels important—especially the ones you immediately realize were very stupid (opening that door, firing that shot, trusting that hallway). The atmosphere is bleak but stylish, like the apocalypse hired a really good art director. Between runs, you upgrade your base and unlock perks, slowly transforming your survivors from “panicked civilian” into “panicked civilian with slightly better aim.” The real star of the game, though, is failure. You will fail. Repeatedly. Often because you got greedy. Or curious. Or because a zombie came out of a bush and reminded you that joy is temporary. Pros: Satisfying combat Great atmosphere Strong “just one more run” energy Cons: Emotional attachment to survivors is a mistake Zombies do not respect personal space Game constantly humbles you Final verdict: The Last Stand: Aftermath is brutal, stylish, and weirdly motivating. It’s less about surviving the apocalypse and more about surviving long enough to die slightly better next time. 10/10 would get infected again. 🧟♂️💀
On sale its a great purchase but a lot of jank. Its a cool pve extraction kinda game where you decide what areas to go to and you can leave and move on to the next area whenever like if there is a tough enemy or no loot areas you aren't really interested in. Characters are used as a resource so if you die you start another run with more character upgrades or usable gear in the start. Only received updates for a year which is a shame cause the game felt like it had more potential. Positives - Good concept - Starting over again is fun since you can see all your new unlocks and feel stronger than the last characters start - Can get pretty tense when your low on resources including max health due to infection mechanic - Looting feels great and meaningful - Crafting system feels great and fun to discover new craftables Negatives - The almost top down view is obnoxious since buildings, roofs, etc will block your view and certain guns feel like ass to use like shotguns and non semi / full auto rifles since your basically just seeing where your shot goes than adjusting instead of being able to meaningfully aim. Even using lasers doesn't always help cause the laser won't always properly work lol - Janky as hell, a lot of your deaths will probably be due to jank like invisible fire or getting stuck - Tutorial is ass and not in a dark souls this is fun to learn on my own way. Feels more unfair than anything to learn as you go since you'll lose characters and forced to trek through the map again, there is 4 sections of different maps you have to go through. - The infection timer heavily punishes stealth to the point where you are just better running around and never crouching unless to shoot the lunging zombies - Weird limiting systems that feel more punishing than anything. Like having a max gas of 5 or only being able to carry one vaccine. So your basically punished for finding more than you can carry in an area. Just feels more annoying than tension building. - Theres no real way to store loot in a usable way for following characters. The stash system is ass since the map pathing can be randomized so you won't always run into the same locations as a previous character did. Just seems dumb there aren't stashes in safe houses but rather just random areas
