The Last Campfire

Regularly goes on sale for 90% off so I picked it up to play on Steam Deck. The game runs flawlessly at 90fps with great battery life. It's a short game only taking me just north of five hours to complete the whole story, find all the collectibles, and complete the bonus puzzles.

A small, beautiful game about hope. The Last Campfire isn't challenging, but it is deeply moving. With its clever puzzles, charming art, and a narrator that wraps you in a bittersweet bedtime story, it offers a comforting escape. I got lost, helped others find their way, and somewhere along the line, found myself. 🫂❤️‍🩹

I cannot understand why this is rated so high. This is the most glaring example in recent memory I can think of where you have to say: "Show, don't tell!" Claiming what a character feels over and over is terrible writing and pretentious. And saying what you can see is redundant. This is just bad, people.

特别好玩啊朋友们，强烈建议买回来玩。 首先这个游戏的美工和配乐配音质量都没话说，而且剧情也很感人。作为解谜类游戏来说，迷题的玩法也很多样和高质，不会有跨度太大或者完全没思路的情况，不管是新手还是有经验的解谜类游戏玩家我觉得都很适合。其次对于成就党来说也很友好，只要把剧情过完了就能拿全还是很让人有成就感的。文案和剧情里的人物设定也都听饱满的，在这里为了避免剧透我就不说太多了。总体来说本人给到一个夯爆了啊朋友们，这个质量就算是原价买也值了。

I love this game! It's super cute and cozy. Some players my find it a tad annoying but I really enjoyed the narrator. Its the only voice you will hear throughout the entire game. For me, it adds charm to the world. One thing I really like is that each puzzle has a theme, whether its anxiety, loneliness, feeling left behind, etc. It makes the world feel very cohesive. The puzzles aren't super difficult. Only a few gave me some trouble. The game is pretty short. My playthrough only took 6 hours. I only get little time to play so it still took a week and a half for me. For price to value $15 is fine, $10 is good, and $5 is amazing which is what I got it for. If you like a cute and cozy puzzler with an overarching theme of hope and finding your way this is the game for you.
