Every price cut of more than 20% we have observed, in each market that quoted one, with this game's chart position on either side of it. These are episodes, not a model: a sale is one event, and one event cannot tell you what the next one will do.
Reviews, worldwide (the counter carries no country): 0/day in the week to Aug 4 → 0/day in the week after.
For scale, across Steam · Top Sellers · Brazil over the last 30 days: the 25 chart moves that followed a price cut of more than 20% went a median of 10 places towards #1, and the 2,413 moves with no price cut behind them went 2 away. One store, one chart, one country — it is the only place we have enough observations to say even that.
Prices outside the United States have been collected since 6 August 2026 and chart positions since 19 July 2026, so a cut older than that has no market to compare and a market that joined later has no history yet. Nothing here is converted between currencies.
Promising foundation, but not yet ready for escape room and puzzle‑adventure fans
The Lab has the bones of a great escape room or point‑and‑click puzzle adventure, but in its current form I can’t fully recommend it for fans of the genre. Much like the initial launch of House of Tesla (which the developers later improved dramatically based on user feedback), this game feels one solid revision away from becoming something special. I went in cautiously after playing The Island, which shares similar issues. The Lab is certainly better—but it still suffers from similar design decision problems.
Where the game shines
Imaginative, interesting and decently rendered spaces, and generally good puzzles - some actually very clever and innovative.
Where the game struggles
The biggest issue, echoed by several players, is that a number of puzzles are needlessly obtuse. The concepts themselves are clever and could be great fun, but the game offers only a complex instance of the most innovative puzzles along with no context, no progressive learning, and a hint system that is so arcane it’s nearly useless. The result is a mix of dirt‑simple puzzles and deeply opaque ones, which creates more frustration than challenge. A few examples: -The pressure/valve puzzle: This is a rockstar concept but... You’re asked to manipulate valves to add or subtract pressure to light a Bunsen burner. Great idea in theory. But one component that looks like a block is actually a vent—completely unlabeled—and there are no pressure gauges or visuals of gas escaping to determine what is happening within a complex system. The player has no way to know the vent is subtracting pressure. This could have been a fun multi‑stage puzzle where a number of puzzles could have been placed around the walls of the room (since there's plenty of wall space) allowing the developers to introduce concepts like splitting pressure and venting, with the puzzles getting progressively more challenging to get the gas to the burner at the right pressure. Instead, it feels like you’re dropped into a complex final exam with no prior teaching. -The shape surface count puzzle: We've all seen surface facet puzzles where you count the faces on a 3D object and the one in the gravity room seems straightforward but it isn't. While it is no mental stretch to count a sphere as one face, and that's fine, but without getting into spoilers, it is not just a simple matter of counting faces on shapes - let's just say the solution isn't obvious even with the answer in hand. - The toxic symbol‑math puzzle: You’re asked to find quantities of symbols - no problem - and you are given a set of the same symbols with numbers - if you add them, no joy. You do something with them but nothing in the environment suggests the intended leap to what that operation should be. Lateral thinking is great, but this crosses into “read the developer’s mind” territory. - Clumsy mechanics: Small friction points add up, like having to manually put an item you just picked up into your inventory before you can read it. These little interruptions break flow during already‑difficult puzzles.
Bottom line
There’s an excellent game hiding inside The Lab, but right now the combination of overly simple and wildly obtuse puzzles with arcane hints creates a joyless experience. If the developers refine the puzzles to offer simple to complex instances and improve the hint system, this could easily earn rave reviews. For now, I’d call it a promising work‑in‑progress rather than a fully recommendable adventure.

Fun game, puzzles are very interesting and well integrated, highly recommended!
It's somewhat short, and aside from one puzzle (for me), the rest I had no big problems with. They aren't exactly easy but they are intuitive if you think about them except for the gas pipes one. Which stumped me. Overall fairly decent 3-4 hour puzzle game, more if you're having some issues. Less if you power through with the guide.
the motion blur is unplayable, was getting physically sick, cant turn it off
Loved it! Juuuuuuust hard enough where there were a couple things that had me scratching my head so that I walked away and came back fresh.
Great fun! Loved the puzzles and the story!
It's alright. Decently challenging puzzles and good atmosphere. It is a bit on the short side though.
