Discounts
Every price cut of more than 20% we have observed, in each market that quoted one, with this game's chart position on either side of it. These are episodes, not a model: a sale is one event, and one event cannot tell you what the next one will do.
For scale, across Steam · Top Sellers · Brazil over the last 30 days: the 24 chart moves that followed a price cut of more than 20% went a median of 9 places towards #1, and the 2,419 moves with no price cut behind them went 2 away. One store, one chart, one country — it is the only place we have enough observations to say even that.
Prices outside the United States have been collected since 6 August 2026 and chart positions since 19 July 2026, so a cut older than that has no market to compare and a market that joined later has no history yet. Nothing here is converted between currencies.
About
The Front takes place in a post-apocalyptic sandbox world populated by mutants and hostile factions. On this war-torn land, players will engage tyrannical imperial forces, exiles, thugs, and rebels in an epic battle that will determine the fate of humanity. Team up with your friends, explore ruins and enemy areas, craft weapons and equipment, build bases and defend them with tower defense-style traps, upgrade tech, pilot tanks and helicopters, battle the elements, and contend with fearsome foes!
The Vehicle Assembly system is now live! From chassis and frame to engines, weapons, and armor modules — mix and match parts freely to craft your custom combat vehicle from the ground up.
Build a high-speed assault rig, a heavy firepower beast, or a bizarre machine fueled by pure imagination — it’s all in your hands. Assemble, modify, upgrade — you’re in full control. Performance, looks, and tactical style all come together to define your war machine.
And this is only the beginning. In the future, we’ll be adding mechanical claws, flying vehicles, and customization options like paint jobs and graffiti. Your war machine won’t just be powerful — it’ll be uniquely yours.
Construct bases using hundreds of different building components to protect your resources and shelter yourself from this merciless world. The only limit is your imagination!
Strategically route monsters through a brutal crucible of traps designed to slaughter explosive beasts, invisible assassins, flying soldiers, and other catastrophically powerful invaders.
Craft and pilot over 20 types of functional vehicles, including pickup trucks, logging trucks, mining trucks, self-propelled anti-aircraft guns, attack helicopters, and more. In the future, The Front will also feature modifiable base vehicles, allowing players to build mobile steel behemoths.
Use monitoring devices such as pressure plates and infrared sensors along with complete circuits to construct automated defense systems.
Arm yourself with a variety of melee weapons, firearms, explosives, and even tanks and helicopters, then use these tools of war to raid the bases of other players, or simply protect your own territory.
Use Jammers to subdue NPCs you come across in the world. In addition to helping you in combat, these NPCs will also put their talents to use at workbenches to help you improve the efficiency of your operation and produce resources more quickly.
Craft water-powered equipment, then use it to develop your own agricultural system including spraying and planting. Choose from dozens of recipes to cook delicious meals.
Trek across deserts, forests, snowlands, swamps, and more to find unexplored and treacherous areas such as underground research institutes and restricted military bases. Along your way, you will loot structures, collect blueprints, and claim airdrops, all in the name of making yourself a force to be reckoned with.

When I originally wrote this review in December 2025, I had 367 hours in the game. Today I have 445 hours. That's another 78 hours spent giving this game more chances because I genuinely wanted my opinion to change. It didn't. One of the first things I did before updating this review was check SteamDB to see if the game had finally found its footing. Unfortunately, the numbers tell a different story. The Front launched with an all-time peak of 19,585 concurrent players. That is an incredible launch for an indie survival game and showed there was real excitement surrounding it. Unfortunately, that excitement disappeared almost immediately. Within roughly five months, the player count had fallen to under 800 concurrent players, and it never recovered to anything close to its launch success. As I'm writing this update, the game's 24-hour peak is only 104 players. To me, that's the biggest criticism I can make. Games don't lose over 99% of their active players without a reason. I've seen comments on my original review saying, "It's a small studio—you can't expect AAA quality." I actually agree with that. I never expected perfection. I never expected every bug to be fixed overnight. Small studios have limited budgets, limited developers, and limited resources. But I do expect progress. Instead, after 445 hours, I still see many of the same problems that pushed players away years ago. One thing that has always bothered me is communication. Whenever major server problems occur, the announcement is usually something like: "We have scheduled server maintenance... For some of the unsolved issues and bugs, we will fix them in order of priority as soon as possible." That's it. No explanation of what actually happened. No explanation of what caused the issue. No explanation of what was fixed. No estimate of when the long-standing problems players have reported for months—or even years—might finally be addressed. I understand that developers can't always give every technical detail, but after supporting this game for hundreds of hours, I think players deserve better communication than generic maintenance notices every time something goes wrong. The frustrating part is that I don't hate this game. Quite the opposite. I kept playing because I genuinely believed it could become one of the best survival games on Steam. The building system, the world, and the core gameplay all had enormous potential. That's why I continued playing for another 78 hours after writing my original review. Unfortunately, those extra hours only reinforced my original opinion. I don't believe the game failed because it lacked ideas. I believe it failed to retain the community that made those ideas worth experiencing. When a game launches with nearly 20,000 concurrent players and, years later, struggles to reach 100 players during its busiest point of the day, it's difficult to ignore what those numbers are saying. I genuinely hope the developers turn things around someday. If they do, I'll happily update this review again. After 445 hours, I simply can't recommend it.
