I only have one complaint... I wish there was 10+ hours more of this game. This was the most fun I've had playing in a long time. The story? Incredible. The characters? Flawless. The balance of action vs story?? 10/10.

For scale, across Steam · Top Sellers · Brazil over the last 30 days: the 24 chart moves that followed a price cut of more than 20% went a median of 9 places towards #1, and the 2,419 moves with no price cut behind them went 2 away. One store, one chart, one country — it is the only place we have enough observations to say even that.
Prices outside the United States have been collected since 6 August 2026 and chart positions since 19 July 2026, so a cut older than that has no market to compare and a market that joined later has no history yet. Nothing here is converted between currencies.

Uninteresting poorly animated characters and a lack of actual gameplay make this a very underwhelming and boring experience
interesting time loop mystery game the spooky skeletons shown in the screenshots are optional from my memory if thats putting you off from trying this
Probably one of my favorite games. It took me a while to get into it.. initially the first hour or two I thought the presentation was lackluster, some of the dialog options irksome, and the gameplay to be stifling and limited.. but the more I played the more I became addicted and the more I was excited to see what would happen next.. uncover the next secret. This game checks off my big qualifiers for a truly excellent game: ✅Intricate metroidvania/Spencer mansion/souls like world or game map that is tight and focused and a joy to explore ✅ (SPOILER FREE) Multilayered story that unravels like a onion, the more you peel and the deeper you cut the more you cry.. not that it made me cry it's a figure of speech.. rather, the story created multiple layers of intrigue that emotionally resonate and genuinely surprise as you get deeper into the story ✅ Excellent music ✅ Characters that you care about.. in fact as the game plays out you almost become addicted to opening them up more and exploring their dialog and stories and quests. ✅Strong visual identity. The graphics are definitely not the best.. but the game is very nice to look at and I suspect in 10 years or more the game will still be visually appealing ✅ Great gameplay. While this is the games weakest area.. at the same time it's actually it's strongest.. gameplay doesn't have to involve hopping on gombas which triggers a beautiful fancy animation that spits out coins.. nor are you dodging a giant dragon's fire breath and rolling out of the way of its razor sharp claws on your quest to become Elden lord.. nor are you wall running your character into a wild kill streak while your team captures the flag.... None of that.. sometimes all a great game needs is nothing but some good exploration.. problem solving.. even text based adventures or typing games can have incredible gameplay.. good gameplay is a game that offers you interesting choices you enjoy exploring.. this game delivers tons of interesting choices in spades I'm not going to get into the story, I think that is best explored totally fresh.. I'm not gonna nitpick everything I didn't like.. and I'm not going to tell you this game is "worth 30$ just go ahead and get it".. I will say is this: had I known ahead of time I would like the game this much I would've willingly donated the full 30$ price tag. Truly mind altering experience.
The Forgotten City is an absolutely fantastic narrative adventure and one of the most clever uses of a time-loop mechanic I've experienced. The premise is simple but brilliant: you are trapped in an ancient Roman city where, if one person commits a sin, everyone dies. Your only way forward is to investigate the inhabitants, understand their relationships, uncover their secrets, and exploit the time loop to gradually find a way to break the cycle. And this is where the Game Design really shines. Every loop gives you more knowledge, turning you from a confused outsider into an increasingly capable detective. Information becomes your main progression system, and solving a problem in one loop can completely change what is possible in the next. The writing is also excellent. The characters are memorable, the dialogues are well written and performed, and the game constantly puts you in front of interesting moral dilemmas. Your choices genuinely matter, with multiple endings depending on how you approach the mystery. The ancient Roman setting is beautiful and atmospheric, and the combination of exploration, investigation, puzzles, and dialogue makes the whole experience feel refreshingly different from most narrative games. There are a few technical rough edges and the gameplay itself is relatively simple, but honestly, they are easy to overlook when the core concept works this well. If you enjoy mystery, time travel, philosophical dilemmas, or games that trust the player to figure things out for themselves, The Forgotten City is an absolute must-play. A brilliant little mystery and a fantastic example of Game Design built around knowledge rather than power.
