Developed by Shinji Mikami -- creator of the seminal Resident Evil series -- and the talented team at Tango Gameworks, The Evil Within embodies the meaning of pure survival horror. Highly-crafted environments, horrifying anxiety, and an intricate story are combined to create an immersive world that will bring you to the height of tension.

Prices
Each in the currency that store quoted — not converted: the gap between two rows is the publisher's pricing, not an exchange rate.
Availability
We put this game to every storefront we collect. A market that answered not sold has told us something about the game; a market we never asked has not, and the two are never drawn the same.
Discounts
Every price cut of more than 20% we have observed, in each market that quoted one, with this game's chart position on either side of it. These are episodes, not a model: a sale is one event, and one event cannot tell you what the next one will do.
Reviews, worldwide (the counter carries no country): 5.57/day in the week to Jul 30 → 9/day in the week after.
For scale, across Steam · Top Sellers · Poland over the last 30 days: the 21 chart moves that followed a price cut of more than 20% went a median of 12 places towards #1, and the 2,501 moves with no price cut behind them went 1 away. One store, one chart, one country — it is the only place we have enough observations to say even that.
Prices outside the United States have been collected since 6 August 2026 and chart positions since 19 July 2026, so a cut older than that has no market to compare and a market that joined later has no history yet. Nothing here is converted between currencies.

14 of 15 markets; the rest we haven't asked for this title, not markets where it is unavailable.
14 on sale1 answered “not sold”0 we did not ask
The 1 “not sold” market is read from the Steam price pass of Sep 11: that day the store answered for this game elsewhere and gave no price there. The 14 priced markets are the same rows as the table above — each the latest price we hold, dated here when it is older than that pass. The 0 marked “not asked” were not put to this store at all — either it has no storefront there or we do not collect it yet, and neither is a statement about the game. A refusal is a refusal on one day; a store can list a title again tomorrow.

It’s hard to truly put into words why this game is so special. On one hand, it’s incredibly flawed; it’s glitchy, starts with an incredibly boring level, and has a terrible final boss. But on the other hand, it has some of the best encounter design in all of survival/action horror. The story may be nonsense, but the surreal style does a good job facilitating an escalating series of intense horror setpieces. Anyone familiar with Resident Evil 4 (and 5) will recognize this structure, and it works to great effect here. The game is always doing something new with its core mechanics, testing the player’s ability to judge positioning and enemy arrangements. There’s always some complication added on top of the core formula. The game never lets you get complacent; the level design does a great job of forcing the player to constantly reposition. The limited mobility options, along with the need for highly committed aiming, makes this kind of design work because the player needs to consider multiple competing incentives when deciding how and where to position themselves. While some may call the combat “clunky,” I believe that this is a shallow way of looking at it. These restrictions force the player to constantly make meaningful decisions, thus giving the combat more depth than other systems that would try to “smooth out” these rougher edges. It’s important to be able to distinguish “clunky” from “restrictive,” as these two concepts often get mistaken for each other. The deliberateness of the combat and the variety of both enemy layouts and environmental hazards give the game an unrelenting pace that does wonders for selling the game’s “nightmare logic.” It truly feels like being trapped in a never-ending, hellish dreamscape. You can never truly predict where it’s going, and the game relishes putting you in situations that you aren’t prepared for. This can be frustrating the first time you play the game, as the design almost feels trollish at times. However, all of the game’s tricks can be overcome with knowledge and smart uses of your resources, which makes it borderline addictive to replay. There’s always something to refine: a bullet you could’ve saved, a bolt you could’ve crafted, a trap you could’ve used more wisely. I’ve replayed the game about eight times now, and I’m still discovering ways to refine my route. The fact that there’s no level select enforces the consequences of poor resource management. I’m not sure if it’s possible to get truly “stuck” at any point of the game, but it certainly feels that way throughout a lot of it. I think this marriage between the action-horror style pacing and survival-horror style enemy routing and resource management is what makes this game really special. Both elements compliment each other incredibly well, leading to a game with so much subtle depth beneath the seemingly derivative aesthetic. Is it perfect? No. Will everyone love it? Also no. But if you’re looking for a genuinely new take on these classic formulas, I’d say that this game still feels ahead of the curve in many ways. There’s a reason this series has such a dedicated following.
艺术
The Evil Within — Análise Nota: 9/10 Um dos melhores survival horrors da geração. The Evil Within 1 é imperfeito, mas tem personalidade. E isso falta em muitos survival horrors atuais.

MY first experience with this game, and it's actually pretty good. However, to get it running on modern hardware is another story. Lot's of bugs / glitches / boot issues. If I can get it fixed, though, anyone can. Believe you me ;) Great game by the director of the original RE games, Dino Crisis and DMC 1, if I remember correctly. REcommend!
Great game, interesting story, the DLCs definitely explain more and has a different gameplay mechanic - like you cant shoot your way out, it becomes more like outlast (running and hiding). The third DLC is also cool, you play as one of the killers trying to save your daughter and you've got weapons that can be upgraded. Lots of jump scares, good character development, crazy bosses and overall just a great game. Only improvement needed would be a remake. As for specs, this game should run fine on most PCs.
