Developed by Shinji Mikami -- creator of the seminal Resident Evil series -- and the talented team at Tango Gameworks, The Evil Within embodies the meaning of pure survival horror. Highly-crafted environments, horrifying anxiety, and an intricate story are combined to create an immersive world that will bring you to the height of tension.

Prices
Each in the currency that store quoted — not converted: the gap between two rows is the publisher's pricing, not an exchange rate.
Availability
We put this game to every storefront we collect. A market that answered not sold has told us something about the game; a market we never asked has not, and the two are never drawn the same.
Discounts
Every price cut of more than 20% we have observed, in each market that quoted one, with this game's chart position on either side of it. These are episodes, not a model: a sale is one event, and one event cannot tell you what the next one will do.
Reviews, worldwide (the counter carries no country): 5.57/day in the week to Jul 30 → 9/day in the week after.
For scale, across Steam · Top Sellers · Brazil over the last 30 days: the 22 chart moves that followed a price cut of more than 20% went a median of 9 places towards #1, and the 2,513 moves with no price cut behind them went 2 away. One store, one chart, one country — it is the only place we have enough observations to say even that.
Prices outside the United States have been collected since 6 August 2026 and chart positions since 19 July 2026, so a cut older than that has no market to compare and a market that joined later has no history yet. Nothing here is converted between currencies.

1. The sections were diverse, with unique gimmicks. The gameplay never felt repetitive. Same goes for the boss fights- pure gimmicks, which makes it more immersive and plot relevant. 2. The main idea and the complexity of the story. Also, the game's pacing was just flawless for me. You reach a point in the mid game where you have a rough idea what's going on but you still can't quite arrange the pieces together so you need to keep going. 3. The Keeper. I love this guy (even though the boss fight made me lose my mind since I have wasted my resources previously). 4. Laura. What flaws though ruined part of the experience and made the game unapproachable for many people possibly even wasted its potential : 1. Bland characters. I know they have some kind of depth and backstories but their approach to the bizarre environment felt too unemotional. Sebastian is literally witnessing unimaginable horrors and he's like: "♥♥♥♥.". There's some charm in such remarks but they could have made him and the other characters more expressive. 2. The camera is almost shoved in Sebastian's ass, which makes every place feel too cramped. That results in forced panic, poor aiming and unecessary deaths. 3. I understand the main inspirations for the game are horror movies, not only games, so some chase sequences felt forced and too cinematic. Out of place. Good example is the beginning of the game. SPOILER but you sneak behind the Sadist, grab the key, walk with unnatural slowness and then you stumble apon a wire that triggers an alarm and the chase begins. This stumble is scripted, completely unavoidable. even though logically Sebastian could've easily dissarm or jump over it. 4. Not really an issue for me but I can see people complaining about the difficulty. Too scarce resources for too many enemies. As I said above, I had a problem with the Keeper since I previously wasted too many bullets on random mobs. This made the battle a complete nightmare and I spent probably a whole hour or more on him. Overall, the Evil Within is like the chosen one for the survival horror genre, who didn't manage to live up to the expectations and fell. Either way the game has its charm and its uniqeness makes it stand out among similar games. Definetely more memorable than any RE game for me.

14 of 15 markets; the rest we haven't asked for this title, not markets where it is unavailable.
14 on sale1 answered “not sold”0 we did not ask
The 1 “not sold” market is read from the Steam price pass of Sep 11: that day the store answered for this game elsewhere and gave no price there. The 14 priced markets are the same rows as the table above — each the latest price we hold, dated here when it is older than that pass. The 0 marked “not asked” were not put to this store at all — either it has no storefront there or we do not collect it yet, and neither is a statement about the game. A refusal is a refusal on one day; a store can list a title again tomorrow.

very good
good game
Geiles Game. Muss man gespielt haben
GIVE me MORE of that FEARY GORY HORROR!!!!! Teared my soul apart! OLD GAME but so worth it! JUST DO IT!
100 percent recommended
I replayed this a lot back on Xbox and it's still a really enjoyable survival horror shooter. Since it was directed by Shinji Mikami it feels a lot like a Resident Evil game. Gameplay and boss fights (minus the final one) are the best features. I remember being intrigued by the story when I played it a decade ago, but I can understand players' original complaint about how annoying it is for the characters to keep randomly teleporting to the next location over and over again. Overall, worth it at current price ($19.99) and absolutely a worth it at a discount.
