Prices
The United States storefront in every case, so this compares stores and not countries.
Prices
Each in the currency that store quoted — not converted: the gap between two rows is the publisher's pricing, not an exchange rate.
14 of 15 markets; the rest we haven't asked for this title, not markets where it is unavailable.
Availability
We put this game to every storefront we collect. A market that answered not sold has told us something about the game; a market we never asked has not, and the two are never drawn the same.
Discounts
Every price cut of more than 20% we have observed, in each market that quoted one, with this game's chart position on either side of it. These are episodes, not a model: a sale is one event, and one event cannot tell you what the next one will do.
Reviews, worldwide (the counter carries no country): 5/day in the week to Jul 30 → 4.29/day in the week after.
For scale, across Steam · Top Sellers · Poland over the last 30 days: the 21 chart moves that followed a price cut of more than 20% went a median of 12 places towards #1, and the 2,501 moves with no price cut behind them went 1 away. One store, one chart, one country — it is the only place we have enough observations to say even that.
Prices outside the United States have been collected since 6 August 2026 and chart positions since 19 July 2026, so a cut older than that has no market to compare and a market that joined later has no history yet. Nothing here is converted between currencies.

god i love morrowind
Why didn't they just turn the game into a paper book? I think the developers heard Todd Howard say 16x times the detail, misinterpretted it and put a minus sign behind it. You walk about as fast as a tortortise at full pace in a world that is quite literally empty with artifical expanse in the form of an invisible wall in the middle of the map, heavy fog and huge mountains. Some things you do find, you have to pass several of its type to actually realise you can go in it, entrances to 'dungeons' are arguably worse than daggerfall, mainly dwavern. Puzzles and object finding are on par with elder scrolls arena. Little voice acting which is fine. But unlike the previous games the options to say stuff is completely bloated. If you just click all the talking points, you'll miss dialogue but also you'll bury what you actually wanted to ask in this huge list. Not to mention you can't 'clear' a previous ask so it bloats, also there are options like 'ask about someone in particular' but you don't get to choose who that is. If you do have the patience to ask, even then i couldn't make heads or tails with directions for example that are given to find a location. Enemies are okay enough, i played a mage to miss the dice roll for a hit, honestly if you look at footage of a melee character its a good laugh. Not sure about archer experience. Journal to keep track of things is disgusting, its literally just a log of things that happen in the order they happen. I modified my speed and got 'fast boots' and it still wasn't enough to keep me, this isn't for me, get me out!! This game seems to go down well for people who like to roleplay their character, so if you do, you should like it. I think the ultimate problem with this game is it tried to appear grander than it actually is, the illusion of size, which actually harms those with stories worth hearing. For me, this game is just a literal time sink and i've finally hit my quite strict tolerance for bs. I'll consider a lore recap before also considering finishing oblivion. One thing i can say though, the soundtrack is amazing. Game deleted from library.

14 on sale1 answered “not sold”0 we did not ask
The 1 “not sold” market is read from the Steam price pass of Sep 7: that day the store answered for this game elsewhere and gave no price there. The 14 priced markets are the same rows as the table above — each the latest price we hold, dated here when it is older than that pass. The 0 marked “not asked” were not put to this store at all — either it has no storefront there or we do not collect it yet, and neither is a statement about the game. A refusal is a refusal on one day; a store can list a title again tomorrow.

This is in my top X list of RPGs of all time, scoring up there with my first experience with Ultima VII back in the early 90s. I played Morrowind rather extensively when it came out in the early 2000s, Im not sure if there was a dungeon or sidequest I had not uncovered in this game. I honestly like it a lot better than Skyrim, and Skyrim is an incredible game. When Oblivion came out I was so dissapoint, as it made me just reinstall Morrowind and play some random class and race type I wouldnt commonly pick (it was more fun than playing Oblivion when it was new lol). You can even create your own custom class, and you dont need to know the mechanics of the game engine to figure out how to make a workable template. So now I am playing this in 2026 on the steam deck and I like it better than a whole lot of games released in the last many years :). Given its age there are some aspects of the default controls I dont like, but all in all it works pretty well on deck. I dont enjoy the tiny font but Im not expecting a totally modern experience. This game is legendary without being as raw as 90s games. If you like the RPG genre and are relatively new to games, you really have to try out Morrowind. Its one of those games that just sets the standard for the genre and lets you see how future iterations on this trope all trace back to games such as this. Plus theres locked-in consequences to a lot of choices in the game so it has replayability, and there is a huge amount of content for being a ~1G install. The soundtrack is great too, helps with immersion in the world. Its more of a game for quests, loot, gear, and lore than other aspects of RPG games. Some of the cities can get boring pretty fast, its a LOT of text to read if you want to get into the lore, there are extremely overpowered mechanics in the later game you may uncover that trivialize combat, there are occasional bugs that can arise due to tons of quest flags that are not tracked perfectly by the game (its rare and almost always you can use some kind of console hack to overcome it), etc, there are some old school game aspects to it that are much less fun for modern players. I am already looking into an autorun mod lol. If youre cautious just wait for a sale, this amazing game for under $10 is such treasure. However this is one of those titles that full price is just fine to pay, its totally worth it if you like RPGs. Morrowind is the kind of game that we aged gamers use to demand more from the modern game studios - this is how theyre supposed to be made (for their era).
A classic video game, the first Elder Scrolls I played in the mid-2000s. Upon discovering it, I was amazed by the possibilities, by being able to join any faction you wanted in this role-playing game. Incredible character customization. A unique universe, cities you want to explore, as well as the flora and fauna. A game with incredible writing and lore, which are rarely seen today. The game engine remains a classic, but the combat is somewhat clunky. There's no voice acting and a huge amount of reading, which can be off-putting. It's a good game, though I've never managed to finish the main quest because there's so much to do on the side. One day, if I have the courage and the time, I'll play it again.
i lvoe is gem
I wish Bethesda would go back to this kind of RPG. Exploration and story are detailed and awesome, there are no quest markers which makes you have to think and pay attention to your surroundings, and a gritty kind of style. I miss this.
It's like they made skyrim into an older game
"The Game That Changed My Life"
Morrowind is the game that has influenced my life more than any other and perhaps even helped shape the person I am today. It has been many, many years since I first played it, but it opened the door to another world and helped me get through a difficult period in my life. To this day, it holds a truly special place in my heart. It was probably also my introduction to my favorite genre: open-world fantasy RPGs. What I appreciate most about Morrowind is the freedom it gives you and the opportunity to become whoever you want to be... Yes, by today's standards, the game is undeniably dated. Some of its mechanics can feel unusual, but that's also part of its charm. In many ways, it's even better and more RPg-like than many modern RPGs. I also can't leave out the fact that Morrowind is the reason I fell in love with the feline race, the Khajiit. To this day, they remain my favorite race, and I still find myself choosing one whenever a game gives me the chance. For me, Morrowind will never be just another RPG. It will always be the game that changed my life...
