About

14th-century Europe. Bloody conflicts sweep the lands, and the Black Death comes for the survivors. It's a moment of weakness - and that's all they needed. Vampires seize their opportunity to walk out of the shadows and claim what they've been denied for centuries: freedom, and the power that comes with it. Other creatures of the night follow their lead. Legends turn into reality, and history as we know it will never be the same.
You play as Coen, a young man turned into a Dawnwalker, forever treading the line between the world of day and the realm of night. Fight for your humanity or embrace the cursed powers to save your family. Whatever your choice, the question stands: is your soul worth the lives of those you love?

Experience and shape the plot the way you want. Embark on the quest to save your family, or swear revenge on your sire and destroy everyone standing in your way. Discover ancient secrets lurking in the valley. Rush in head first or risk taking time to prepare. Go alone or search for friends and forge unlikely alliances.

Experience two different gameplay loops, offering distinct abilities to choose from, mysteries to uncover, and varying ways to achieve your goals. Experiment with different approaches and discover how the world reacts to your actions.

Every action - and inaction - shapes the world around you. Your family’s days are numbered, and every time you take on a quest, time moves forward, compelling you closer to the end. Choose carefully whom to help and whom to leave behind. You will not have time for everyone. The world waits for no one. And neither does the villain.

Defy gravity, become a brutal force of nature, and use your supernatural skills as a vampire. Or raise your sword, and employ powerful magic to take on opponents as a human. Experiment and adapt as your form changes during the day and night; each has its strengths and weaknesses.

Venture through the hand-crafted open world and discover all it has to offer. Roam through the lush forests, the vast plains, the treacherous swamps, the steep mountaintops, and the medieval settlements. Explore forgotten ruins, find remnants of an ancient civilization, and uncover truths that should probably remain hidden.

Experience the beginning of a brand-new saga built with love for the role-playing genre. Immerse yourself in a visually stunning world powered by the next-gen Unreal Engine 5.

Atmospheric and really good story so far. I like the combat and will continue to play and finish the game. However performance is so-so and graphics need a bit of patch/fix it seems a bit grainy/blury considering i tried all AA options. 8/10 so far.

This game is a true RPG where all your decisions, no matter how minor they may be, have consequences in the world, this tied with awesome characters just immerses you in this world. The combat is gritty and extremely satisfying once you get used to directional combat. The time mechanic is a constant source of anxiety however it is not nearly as restrictive as I thought it was going to be. I was able to finish off the game with 8 days remaining and I did pretty much all major side quests and leveled up Coen to a respectable level.
easy goty. combat is fun for an rpg, but can be pretty easy even on higher difficulties if you're quick to react. choices that you don't think matter end up mattering, and come up in more than just dialogue. I don't like that levelling consumes time, but this leads to making choices in more situations.
Wgryzam się w przeciwników jak pewien Pan w ziemniaczki.
After 3 hours I am simply hooked on Cohen's character, story, his past and what lies before him. World design is beautiful and the combat system is really enjoyable, the need to stay alert and focus during combat is a great challenge, well done to the devs for trying something new because it works. I can see Dawnwalker being a franchise and not just a 1 hit wonder
Very interesting setting and story, good mc, lots of choices and a solid combat.
Firstly, I just want to say that this game is amazing so far. It's not perfect, and yeah, the combat gave me a bad taste at first, but I rearranged my controller layout and found a fun flow for combat. I just want to say that I already have 9 hours of playtime, and I'm only on Day 7 of this whole "30 days to save your family" thing. Now, I haven't done a lot of side quests, mainly fighting and a few side quests here and there. But when you think about the fact that you're a vampire who doesn't sleep, you have full days and nights to spend, with quests taking up time. Your free roam doesn't affect the clock. Another thing: I keep seeing comments from ignorant people saying things like the combat is stale because it's just fighting, parrying, and dodging. Like, yes, that's the first part of the combat system, BUT there are witchcraft fighting styles, sword techniques, and vampire abilities that all shape a much deeper combat system. It's actually really fun and fluid as well. I am playing on the lowest difficulty because I haven't played The Witcher, and I guess the combat style is the same or similar? I'm not sure, I just keep seeing people say that. Also, the enemies looked like sponges in the gameplay trailers. So, I wanted to get comfortable with the combat and actually experience the story. I have died quite a few times. Some fights simply are not easy, especially when you're overwhelmed by enemies. At least till you level up your abilitles, things get a lot more fluid in taking down crowds of enemies. (As you should as a vampire imo) The story so far has been extremely good. You'd think all these conversations would be tedious, but surprisingly, they're quick and informative. Thank God there aren't a bunch of "fetch me this" or "fetch me that" quests. A lot of these conversations can also be ended simply by being a vampire and having vampire needs lol. No spoilers, but it's very cool. The attention to detail and the awareness of your circumstances are very well thought out and, oddly enough, genuinely surprised me. +1. Your actions really do have consequences. Miss something like an ingredient in a brew, and it can cause a death, for example. One thing I really like is being able to not trust someone and walk away from a conversation, then go back to them after rethinking my options. I get a whole new dialogue with new choices, almost as if we both thought about our previous conversation. It's kind of insane lol. I loved every second of that. And let's not forget that all these games are either releasing before or after GTA 6 lol. So, I'm sure that in the coming updates, things like the awkward movement and some NPC glitches will be fixed in due time. I'm actually glad they released Dawnwalker before GTA 6 rather than after it. This is just my opinion, but watching these chatters and commenters with their ridiculous takes on the game simply pissed me off, so I had to leave my two cents here. Whether you're still deciding to buy the game or not, I would highly suggest getting it. To me, it's worth the price. I'll probably play this game a few more times just to see different outcomes because there are so many different choices to make that I can't even fathom them all. I want a trilogy. I want some werewolf lore as well. Thank you.
The Witcher but more tightly focused. 15 hours in so far... wonderful writing, world building. Decent directional combat. Embrace the limited time mechanic you cowards!
