About

14th-century Europe. Bloody conflicts sweep the lands, and the Black Death comes for the survivors. It's a moment of weakness - and that's all they needed. Vampires seize their opportunity to walk out of the shadows and claim what they've been denied for centuries: freedom, and the power that comes with it. Other creatures of the night follow their lead. Legends turn into reality, and history as we know it will never be the same.
You play as Coen, a young man turned into a Dawnwalker, forever treading the line between the world of day and the realm of night. Fight for your humanity or embrace the cursed powers to save your family. Whatever your choice, the question stands: is your soul worth the lives of those you love?

Experience and shape the plot the way you want. Embark on the quest to save your family, or swear revenge on your sire and destroy everyone standing in your way. Discover ancient secrets lurking in the valley. Rush in head first or risk taking time to prepare. Go alone or search for friends and forge unlikely alliances.

Experience two different gameplay loops, offering distinct abilities to choose from, mysteries to uncover, and varying ways to achieve your goals. Experiment with different approaches and discover how the world reacts to your actions.

Every action - and inaction - shapes the world around you. Your family’s days are numbered, and every time you take on a quest, time moves forward, compelling you closer to the end. Choose carefully whom to help and whom to leave behind. You will not have time for everyone. The world waits for no one. And neither does the villain.

Defy gravity, become a brutal force of nature, and use your supernatural skills as a vampire. Or raise your sword, and employ powerful magic to take on opponents as a human. Experiment and adapt as your form changes during the day and night; each has its strengths and weaknesses.

Venture through the hand-crafted open world and discover all it has to offer. Roam through the lush forests, the vast plains, the treacherous swamps, the steep mountaintops, and the medieval settlements. Explore forgotten ruins, find remnants of an ancient civilization, and uncover truths that should probably remain hidden.

Experience the beginning of a brand-new saga built with love for the role-playing genre. Immerse yourself in a visually stunning world powered by the next-gen Unreal Engine 5.

Reviews
Let's start with the positives. The game has an outstanding dark fantasy atmosphere, well done voice acting (I'm playing with the Polish dub), and well written quests. I also really like the fact that the consequences of Coen's actions are often deceptively positive, and that we sometimes end up causing even more trouble for the (not always) good people living in the Vale Sangora. Now, let's move on to something that I consider both a positive and a major negative of the game: the combat system. I get the impression that the combat system was designed primarily around 1v1 fights, because in those situations it's actually quite enjoyable. The problem starts when you're fighting groups of enemies, which happens practically all the time, since we're usually fighting three or more opponents. At the start of a fight, even when we aren't locking the camera onto a specific enemy, there still seems to be a slight form of soft lock that makes the camera focus on an opponent. I can't even count how many times I've been hit in the back by an enemy I couldn't see because they were standing behind me and the camera simply wasn't showing them on screen. Another example is when I'm fighting one enemy and another one attacks me from the side. I block the attack, but instead of attacking the opponent I was fighting previously, my character attacks the enemy whose attack I just blocked. I know that locking the camera onto a specific opponent could potentially solve this issue, but at the same time, when the camera is locked, I often end up getting attacked by enemies that I simply can't see. And finally, let's talk about the main system of the game: time. At first, I felt a bit of pressure knowing that there are only 30 days and nights. However, after spending around 9 hours doing various side activities, I haven't really felt that pressure all that much. The idea behind the system is that you have to decide what you want to do first, but it's not as if a huge number of things will disappear after those 30 days and nights, because that's simply not the case. And, of course, people tend to forget that you don't necessarily have to catch the main villain before the time runs out. Personally, I highly recommend this game to fans of RPGs with a dark fantasy atmosphere. Despite the slightly clunky combat system, I'm having a great time with it so far.

ein dunkles witcher. Story ist sehr gut. Kampfsystem macht spaß. Grafik top. deutsche synchro auch gut.
Unstable game would wait for fixes before buying.
loving it so far no issues once u learn the combat its like Witcher but as a vamp
You would never in a million years think this game was a 2026 new release. The game/graphics/gameplay feels so dated- I would guess around 2011 or so. Big disappointment. It was so bad didn't even make it to the 2hr return window. Falls off a cliff after 30 minutes in.
I have played the opening 5 hours and so far super impressed. Combat engaging (not sure why lots of people are commenting on it being directional, I think it makes it far more interesting). Story already is fantastic and grips you from get go and world is immersive. My only complaint is that graphically it will not be the most impressive thing for 2026, however it feels more like a unique (like witcher) style, rather than a take on realism. So far (bear in mind), I would highly recommend to any RPG fan, in particular those fans of the wild hunt.
+++ After the 1st hour, it's already clear that the developers are taking The Witcher’s foundation and moving it into a vampire setting. +++ The opening and the combat also give off strong Kingdom Come: Deliverance vibes from a 3rd-person perspective, which I personally enjoy. A LOT I might add to this review after finishing the game.
Excellent storytelling. Interesting characters. Fun combat. I quite enjoy it :) I would like some DLC now, thanks.
I know its early to write a review but what are these absolutely unecessary negative reviews for preformance?? (game is running really well for me), I do have a higher end rig but like what are you guys even playing on?? And even tough If you have problems its gonna get fixed in a few weeks anyway. Game is so ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ amazing, the story and a really enjoyable combat.. isnt this all we have been waiting for? I literally feel like Detlaff...
