Discounts
Every price cut of more than 20% we have observed, in each market that quoted one, with this game's chart position on either side of it. These are episodes, not a model: a sale is one event, and one event cannot tell you what the next one will do.
Reviews, worldwide (the counter carries no country): 4.44/day in the week to Aug 4 → 31.43/day in the week after.
For scale, across Steam · Top Sellers · Brazil over the last 30 days: the 23 chart moves that followed a price cut of more than 20% went a median of 14 places towards #1, and the 2,515 moves with no price cut behind them went 2 away. One store, one chart, one country — it is the only place we have enough observations to say even that.
Prices outside the United States have been collected since 6 August 2026 and chart positions since 19 July 2026, so a cut older than that has no market to compare and a market that joined later has no history yet. Nothing here is converted between currencies.

Reviews
such a shame that this absolute gem of a game gets bad reviews. i played through it several times and there are very few games that i enjoyed as much as the ascent. graphics are absolutely breathtaking, gameplay is tight and super super fun. yes there are some performance issues and i had a couple of crashes, but this game is absolutely amazing. 10/10 in my book
There is only one sad thing about this game. There are no more updates since August 2022.

Great cyberpunk ride. Love it
The Ascent is a visually stunning game set in a cyberpunk universe and for me, one of the most atmospheric games I’ve played in a long time. The different districts of the city feel alive and full of detail and the world is presented in a very realistic and immersive way. Every area has its own character, which makes exploring incredibly enjoyable. If you’re a fan of the cyberpunk genre, you should definitely give this game a chanc... it’s an easy recommendation from me. That said, the game did crash quite often at first. However, after switching to DirectX 11 and turning off ray tracing, it ran smoothly without any problems. Since then, I’ve been able to fully enjoy the experience...
Uram isten! Valmi Eszméletlen szép, a maga rideg módján.
The Good Stuff First off, the vibe is incredible. The graphics are genuinely beautiful.. the lighting and the sheer scale of the world make it feel alive (and appropriately grimy). The music and sound design are top tier; they keep the energy up while you’re making your way through the levels. The gunplay feels heavy and satisfying, and the physics are a blast. Honestly, the combat never gets old. Whether we were taking down a boss or just being menaces and mucking around with the destructible environments (and, okay, maybe a few innocent bystanders), it stayed fun the whole way through. The pacing and exploration felt just right for a duo. We loved the loot pool and the way you actually go about getting your gear.. it felt rewarding without being a mindless grind. Plus, the difficulty was spot on; it challenged us enough that we had to actually coordinate, which is exactly what you want in a co-op game. The "Jank" Factor Now, being real: the bugs are definitely there. If you’re playing co-op, you have to be prepared for some nonsense. Crashes: The game would routinely crash for either me or my partner. It became a bit of a running joke, but it’s definitely frustrating when you’re in the zone. NPC Interactions: We figured out pretty quickly that we couldn't both interact with an NPC at the same time. If we tried, my partner’s game would almost certainly freeze. Quest Log Blues: Because of the technical hiccups, I handled almost all the mission talking as the host. One time my partner talked to an NPC instead of me, and a side mission just... vanished from my log. No way to get it back, no way to fix it. Achievements: If you’re a completionist, be warned.. the tracking was super spotty for us. Final Thoughts My Score: 4/5 I still absolutely recommend this game. Even with the technical headaches, the core experience is just too good to pass up. It’s got heart, it looks amazing, and the gameplay loop is addicting. If you’ve got a partner who doesn't mind a little jank in exchange for a great atmosphere and awesome combat, definitely pick it up. Just... maybe let one person do all the talking.
