Discounts
Every price cut of more than 20% we have observed, in each market that quoted one, with this game's chart position on either side of it. These are episodes, not a model: a sale is one event, and one event cannot tell you what the next one will do.
Reviews, worldwide (the counter carries no country): 4.44/day in the week to Aug 4 → 31.43/day in the week after.
For scale, across Steam · Top Sellers · Brazil over the last 30 days: the 23 chart moves that followed a price cut of more than 20% went a median of 14 places towards #1, and the 2,420 moves with no price cut behind them went 2 away. One store, one chart, one country — it is the only place we have enough observations to say even that.
Prices outside the United States have been collected since 6 August 2026 and chart positions since 19 July 2026, so a cut older than that has no market to compare and a market that joined later has no history yet. Nothing here is converted between currencies.

Holy Sh** I like this video game. If it was a movie it would be rated R from what characters say. Good backstory as you play. Make sure to turn off Raytracing because it kills framerates in this game. It doesn't look much better either.
Very cyberpunky ^_^ my shooting skills improved quickly due to stress ..... 8/10 for fun 10/10 for stress

There is something about this game. I've beat it on Xbox playing couch co-op and it was good. I was so good that I bought 2 more copies on Steam just so I could replay it. I like the movement, guns, and upgrades. On Xbox and ONLY on Xbox the load times sucked, that is not the case on the PC. I am just only an hour into the game for a second time and I just can't wait to get the chance to play co-op again (Co-Op being the best way to play in my opinion). I do wish there were more guns and armor types, but the game isn't very big to begin with and as a result it is a little cheaper than most games. If there is ever one other person that would play this game with, I think it is worth it. I'm not very good at games and it took my brother and I about 20 hours to beat it I think, but a chunk of the side missions where skipped. In short: Game is good, small and short not taking too long to beat, personal opinion is best played Co-Op.
good game
10/10
Overall Rating: 5.5/10 The Ascent is a decent game at its core, but significant technical issues and frustrating design choices keep it from reaching its full potential. Technical Performance & Optimization Crashes: The game crashed 3 times during my 15-hour playthrough, requiring a full restart each time. Stuttering: Frequent micro-lags occur during gameplay, which severely disrupts the flow and negatively impacts combat. Thermals: The default settings place a heavy load on system hardware, causing noticeable overheating issues. I strongly recommend dropping the graphics settings to Medium and capping the frame rate at 60 FPS to maintain manageable temperatures. Story & Gameplay Silent Protagonist: The main character does not speak a single line throughout the entire game. This complete lack of voice acting makes it difficult to connect emotionally with the character or feel invested in their struggles. Frustrating Backtracking: The relentless backtracking was by far my biggest grievance. The game desperately needs weapon upgrade checkpoints mid-mission—having to backtrack massive distances just to upgrade gear ruins the pacing. Exploration vs. Padding: Some players might argue that backtracking encourages map exploration, but side quests and loot box hunting already fulfill that role naturally. Forcing players to re-traverse empty areas feels more like unnecessary padding than genuine exploration.
It's a well done top down shooter with some cool abilities and a really well down cool cyberpunk world. Nothing new or ground breaking. Just well done. The quest have a lot more dialogue and story going for it than I would have expected (or necessary it this type of game) so there is that. Music was also good. You can get it on a discount most of the time, so for what you get for the price it is all good. I lied, one negative, if you let the game idle for a while and come back to it, there is a big chance it will crash on you. So there are some game locking bugs. All of them fixed themselves after a restart and the auto-save is generous, so whatever. And one more thing, the final area of the game was needlessly hard. Just a big bump in difficulty for no reason other than just to stop you from finishing it. I did not try the multiplayer.
Amazing graphics and neon cyberpunk world.
a nice cyberpunk game
