Terra Nil is an intricate environmental strategy game about transforming a barren wasteland into a thriving, balanced ecosystem. Bring life back to a lifeless world by purifying soil, cleaning oceans, planting trees, and reintroducing wildlife, then leave without a trace.

Reviews
Pretty much what it says on the cover - it's a game where you create new life on a barren planet, cleaning up toxins and radiation, creating biomes and suitable weather conditions for wildlife. The game is janky at times and overheats my laptop, which takes a bit away from the enjoyment, but I still love it.
Game is not stable in current state. Several game-breaking bugs and memory leak issues will crash the game or cause it to freeze.

Super fun, cute, and chill! Its a puzzle game that forces you to think about "good enough" solutions because there is no "perfect" solution.
It's fun and unique, right up to the point you are forced to take pictures of animals. First, the camera used to take pictures is so zoomed in every picture looks the same, second the animals are often covered by vegetation making them hard to find, and third you cannot progress through the level until you take pictures of animals that are happy, which often you have no control over as they are spawned dynamically and have requirements you were not even aware of until the end, when you have already begun removing buildings. It's not fun, it's a chore, and it grinds the game to a halt in the worst way possible. If for some reason you think taking ♥♥♥♥♥♥ zoomed in pictures of hard to see animals sounds fun, then it's probably the game for you.
First missions was quite fun and interesting but later ones are just weird, you have steps which directly contradicts with what animals want which makes maps too long and kill all the fun, while maps are very small you have very little options to actually do anything and instead of having huge map with lot of biomes you always have just few at each map and it gets boring fast...
Taking photographs should 100% be an optional objective.
'Terra nil' apparently means "nothing on earth" in Latin. Well, time to bring back the 'something'. the good + The idea behind it. No combat, no time limit. Hard to call it 'cozy' as you think of the ecological destruction that took place there. You can still see the remains of the cities, streets and toxic radioactive barrels. On the other hand that only reinforces our important goal - bringing back various ecosystems the greed had pillaged. + Wonderful sound design + Gorgeous artwork. Shame the photo mode won't let you hide the HUD. + Flexibility of play. With options you can give yourself quite a challange or just relax and remove any resource management altogether. + Makes you feel all hopefull and fuzzy inside. the bad - No saving on current map. Levels are randomly generated and can be quite a time investment. - Weird complaint but every larger update over the years sort of reset my progress. It was nice to go back and help the animals and the plants but beating all levels 100% for like the third time was bit awkward. It made me appraciate the last batch of regions more though.
