Prices
Each in the currency that store quoted — not converted: the gap between two rows is the publisher's pricing, not an exchange rate.
14 of 15 markets; the rest we haven't asked for this title, not markets where it is unavailable.
Availability
We put this game to every storefront we collect. A market that answered not sold has told us something about the game; a market we never asked has not, and the two are never drawn the same.
Discounts
Every price cut of more than 20% we have observed, in each market that quoted one, with this game's chart position on either side of it. These are episodes, not a model: a sale is one event, and one event cannot tell you what the next one will do.

Kind of a 3/5. Get it on discount, preferably a deep one. Perfectly fine if you feel like dropping it midway because it will feel kind of a drag at times. Not worth for NG+ imo. I'd say it's a good enough game to get it on sale and maybe finish it once.

14 on sale1 answered “not sold”0 we did not ask
The 1 “not sold” market is read from the Steam price pass of Sep 13: that day the store answered for this game elsewhere and gave no price there. The 14 priced markets are the same rows as the table above — each the latest price we hold, dated here when it is older than that pass. The 0 marked “not asked” were not put to this store at all — either it has no storefront there or we do not collect it yet, and neither is a statement about the game. A refusal is a refusal on one day; a store can list a title again tomorrow.
For scale, across Steam · Top Sellers · Brazil over the last 30 days: the 26 chart moves that followed a price cut of more than 20% went a median of 7 places towards #1, and the 2,402 moves with no price cut behind them went 2 away. One store, one chart, one country — it is the only place we have enough observations to say even that.
Prices outside the United States have been collected since 6 August 2026 and chart positions since 19 July 2026, so a cut older than that has no market to compare and a market that joined later has no history yet. Nothing here is converted between currencies.

Every now and then I wonder why I never finished this game, so I start a new save. 3 to 4 hours into new save: "Man this sh** is boring"
Nice artwork, a pretty engaging story and a stupidly complex combat system. If that's your thing, this is great. It goes on quite a bit too long for my taste, but if you're into sinking tons of hours into a game to beat the hell out of it, this is a dream. The complex combat does keep it interesting, to an extent, and there are a lot of optional bosses and whatnot. A completionist's dream if you like the setting.
On one hand we have: A technical mess, a more miss than hit gameplay, a story so awful you remember it for being awful, environnements poorly recycled all the time, barely any storytelling, a washed out antagonist... On the other: Absolutely incredible musics that I still remember 11 years later, some potentially interesting lore, Zaveid <3 and a pretty good art direction that is, sadly, a bit too shy. With bad ingredients, you can't get a good final result. Zestiria is exactly that, it cannot be salvaged, but the product is playable and some will enjoy it. I'd rate it a shy 11/20
Tales of Zestiria
Tales of Zestiria is a journey into a world filled with beauty, tragedy, and hope. Its story weaves a tale that draws you in, even if its presentation stumbles in places. Though not perfect, its charm and depth leave an impression long after the adventure ends. Story & Characters | 9/10 The story of Tales of Zestiria is its heart and soul. It’s a bittersweet tale of hope, sacrifice, and human connection. The characters feel alive, their relationships blossoming naturally throughout the journey. Moments of humor, tragedy, and reflection are balanced beautifully. Despite the occasional pacing issues, the story grips you and doesn’t let go. Combat System | 7/10 The combat is engaging and offers a dynamic mix of strategies. Boss fights stand out as tense, memorable battles with great design. However, normal encounters can feel repetitive after some time. The mechanics, while deep, are convoluted and take time to master. Even with its flaws, the thrill of overcoming a challenge keeps the system rewarding. Exploration & World Design | 6/10 The world has a serene beauty, but its vastness often feels empty. Traveling through long, empty corridors in dungeons can be tiring. Overworld exploration lacks excitement due to limited interactivity. Still, the vibrant landscapes and atmospheric touches hold a quiet charm. Music & Atmosphere | 8/10 The soundtrack brings life to every scene, elevating both battles and emotional moments. Its melodies capture the grandeur of the world and the sorrow of its struggles. While not every track is iconic, the music complements the story well. The atmosphere immerses you, making even quiet moments feel meaningful. Lasting Appeal | 7/10 Tales of Zestiria is not without its flaws, but it’s a journey worth taking. Its story and characters make you want to revisit their world again. The combat and exploration may not age perfectly, but the emotional weight endures. For those who love epic tales, it’s a game that lingers in your mind and heart. Tales of Zestiria is a game that leaves a mark, imperfections and all. It’s a reminder of how stories can resonate even when the journey itself stumbles. Few games manage to feel so human in their triumphs and flaws.
Zestiria has several interesting ideas that set it apart from the rest of the series, along with an entertaining cast (Edna and Lailah are my favorites, but I also grew to like Rose and Alisha later on – and Zaveid is Zaveid). I especially enjoy the division between ordinary humans and Seraphim, with the latter being invisible to most people and also playing a special role in the battle system. It’s the most grounded Tales game I’ve played. Sorey’s journey is a classic hero’s journey. It’s also one of the darker entries in the series, as there’s always a certain sense of hopelessness lingering in the background. Thanks to the lighthearted party banter and humor, the tone remains mostly positive regardless. Overall, I do like the story, even if it feels fairly traditional (you could say it’s inspired by Star Wars—which itself was already extremely classical g). I particularly enjoy the game’s lore, which Berseria expands on even further. The OST is among the better ones in the series. When I think back on Zestiria, however, I also remember the long, monotonous dungeons and how boring some sections were. The combat system often feels too samey as well. Though I have only myself to blame for playing both Hexen Isle and Alisha’s DLC, which are by far the worst parts of the game. Visually the game isn’t very impressive. The antagonists are rather bland, and especially with Heldalf there’s a lack of a stronger personal connection—he feels more like a force of nature than a character. The world’s bleakness is also shown more in cutscenes and dialogue than in the actual explorable environments—Ladylake looks the same at the end as it did at the beginning, even though the world’s situation is supposedly much worse. The core themes are the darker sides of human nature (including war), nihilism, religion/superstition, and “finding one’s own path, and the strength to follow it.” Zestiria has its flaws, and it isn’t one of the best games in the series. But if Berseria’s gameplay didn’t bother you, you won’t have issues here either. I even find it a notch better in some places.
