Prices
Each in the currency that store quoted — not converted: the gap between two rows is the publisher's pricing, not an exchange rate.
Charts
Each storefront's own chart, in its own country — the closest public signal to sales where none is published. A country missing from a list is one we don't collect there, not one where the game doesn't chart.
No United States chart position — it charts only in the markets below.
Discounts
Every price cut of more than 20% we have observed, in each market that quoted one, with this game's chart position on either side of it. These are episodes, not a model: a sale is one event, and one event cannot tell you what the next one will do.

Reviews
Game is fun and cozy but admittedly light on content. The main story can be played through in just over 10 hours. For the cost, this is little disappointing as once the main story is finished there isn't much motivation to continue playing for me personally.
its ok but feel very unfished , but great permis will hopefully6 come back after it hgas a lot more updates

For scale, across Steam · Top Sellers · Brazil over the last 30 days: the 26 chart moves that followed a price cut of more than 20% went a median of 7 places towards #1, and the 2,402 moves with no price cut behind them went 2 away. One store, one chart, one country — it is the only place we have enough observations to say even that.
Prices outside the United States have been collected since 6 August 2026 and chart positions since 19 July 2026, so a cut older than that has no market to compare and a market that joined later has no history yet. Nothing here is converted between currencies.

This is one of the situations where I feel Steam should give a "Neither" instead of recommend vs don't recommend. The game is fundamentally similar to "My Time in Portia"; What you get for your money is a game that has extremely good bones, but is very rough around the edges and rather shallow. If you have watched The Shire segment at the start of Fellowship of the Ring, the game essentially tries to capture those same visuals - everything is extremely bright and vibrant, there are wildflowers and "growing things" all over the place, and just exploring the map is pretty fun for an hour or two. Running around foraging for mushrooms or berries, finding a new place to fish, or just skipping along to interact with the other hobbits in the area is very enjoyable. The character stories are varied, and the motivations and relations between characters feels very much like what I envision hobbit life to be like. Cooking is by far the standout best feature of the game - each day you can invite some of the characters to a meal with you on the day after, and the morning before the meal they will send you mail with the type of meal they feel like (Bitter, Salty, Sour, Spicy or Sweet). You need to pick a recipe, choose ingredients with flavours that match what you want to make, and then prepare the ingredients for your meal (Chopping, Frying, etc) to meet the texture profile for that recipe. if you can get the texture in the sweet spot, and have used ingredients with flavours that synergise, you end up making a better tasting dish, which when served to the hobbits you invited, gives you a bigger increase to your friendship with that hobbit, especially if it is the flavour they said they were craving. I do also love that you have all day to serve the meal you invited the hobbits to, and based on the time of day you serve the meal you get a little mini-cutscene where they tell you what meal you served. This did lead to me having the most Hobbit-coded moment of my playthrough, where I ran out of flour the morning I had invited someone over, panicked, and had to run off to buy more "otherwise I won't be able to serve my guests Second Breakfast!" The downside of this game is that, outside of the cooking, the visuals and the characters, the game itself is very shallow - foraging is just running around picking up stuff off the floor, fishing is just holding the reel in button while rotating the joystick to the opposite direction the fish are trying to swim, and gardening is just putting plants that show smiley faces together in the same raised garden bed. Combine that with he fact that friendships with characters appears to only increase when you cook a meal for them, and you only get new recipes by becoming better friend levels with the hobbits, and regularly the new recipes will require ingredients you won't have yet, and it leads to cooking the same things over and over again rather than cooking the variety of dishes available. This leads to all the mechanics in the game becoming stale very quickly, which is NOT helped by how grindy the clubs feel, ESPECIALLY the cooking club, as you need levels in this club to unlock new cooking methods. TL:DR - If you are a big fan of LOTR and Tolkien, and enjoy very simple life-sim games, get this one when it goes on sale, you might have some fun for a little while. If you are looking Stardew Valley with Hobbits, this isn't it. Hopefully this gets a sequel though as the potential is there for a trully wonderful series with a little more time spent on making the mechanics deeper.
I know this game has gotten some poor reviews, but I am truly enjoying every part of it. I love roleplaying in my cozy games, and Tales of the Shire very much makes me feel like I am living the Hobbit life! Gardening, fishing, cooking for my friends, and frolicking about the Shire in all different seasons.
For what it is, it's a cute little self-contained game. I picked it up for 40% off and I think that's a fair price for it. Whimsical, no-pressure, and a good game to keep your hands busy while catching up on your podcast or audiobook backlog.
I've seen a few negative reviews that seem to want an entirely different game... it's like they just saw the word 'Hobbit' and stopped reading the description before buying, then were shocked that it wasn't exactly whatever they imagined. This game does exactly what it says it will, and it does that well. It is a cosy Hobbit farming and cooking sim with a big side helping of growing/collecting ingredients and home improvements. Sure, you *could* speed through the storyline, but that's not the point. There are little things to learn, gather, catch and grow. You can only get certain things from certain people or places at certain times or relationship levels. It is a Hobbit story, and Hobbits appreciate the little things. It is not fast paced, but neither are Hobbits. The map is not huge and adventurous, but Hobbits wouldn't like that. There are not copious amounts of paid extras involved, Hobbits on the whole are simple, honest folk. These people made a cute and cosy slow paced farming and cooking game for Hobbits, and it works as precisely intended. After all, this is a game about a Hobbit who lives in a Hobbit hole, and that means comfort.
Pointless, boring, J. R. R. Talkin would find this insulting..... This is a cash grab and is lazy, and has nothing in it....
A cosy game ideal for beginners like myself. Some days I just play for an hour or so wandering the site foraging and being a hobbit, I treat it as a form of self care
Absolutely love this game. I do wish you could do more and it was more in-line with 'The Hobbit' series, rather than literally just being about Hobbits. I also wish there were more interactions with the other Hobbits. I feel happy to play this game and do the same stuff over and over again, but if you don't like that kind of stuff, then I wouldn't recommend this game to you. Also the house design tool is a bit frustrating at times.
ilk görev bir tane kitabı bulmak. x'e soruyorsun bu kitap nerededir diye, "t'ye verdim" diyor. t'nin evine YÜRÜYEREK gidiyorsun ve soruyorsun. t de "ben kitabı y'ye verdim" diyor. y'nin evine YÜRÜYEREK gidiyorsun, soruyorsun. diyor ki ben o kitabı Z'ye vermiştim. Ek bilgi: Z aslında X'in annesi / ablası / babası gibi yani AYNI EVDE yaşayan bir aile bireyi. yani X'lerin evine YÜRÜYEREK geri dönüyorsun ve Z ile konuşuyorsun bu sefer. be amk evladı Z; o zaman aynı evdesiniz ya bir zahmet ben x'le konuşurken "bir dakika ben o kitabı biliyorum" falan deyip mevzuya dahil olsana? hayır illa beni oradan oraya dolaştıracaksın. oyun süresini uzatmak için yapılmış saçma saçma çakallıklar. sonuç: iade talebinde bulundum. yüzüklerin efendisi ortamını yaşamak istersem filmini açar izlerim sizin angarya işlerinizi de yapmam. bye bye.
