Was boring at first, but after the first episode it is really fun, great story, great characters, expected more of borderlands humor tho. Still recommend playing.

Despite the fact that you don't have a lot of control in this game(since it's an interactive story), which I sometimes find frustrating, this game kept me entertained throughout. If you feel like picking up a new TV show, you might as well just play this. The story telling is great, it's funny, the characters are likable, and voice acting was on on point. Compared to Borderlands 3, which was trying way too hard and often came off as cringe, this wasn't the case with Tales From The Borderlands. Highly recommend, whether you are a fan of Borderlands or not.

I streamed this game to my borderland obsessed friend despite me having no knowledge of the series. It was a ton of laughs making fun of the occasionally poorly written parts, and enjoying the fun of the story as a whole. This has inspired me to play the other borderland games at some point. The characters play on very cliche tropes that can be annoying at times, but if you can look past that, you can see why it's a good reviewed game.
One heck of a ride!
Tales from the Borderlands deserves its place at the top of the TellTale Games collection. Like The Walking Dead and The Wolf Among Us, it has everything that made the studio great. Witty writing, lovable characters and riotous set pieces all tied together with brilliant pacing across the five episodes. All the big voice actors are here; Troy Baker, Laura Bailey, Patrick Warburton, Ashley Johnson and Nolan North, who all lend their talents to an endlessly entertaining adventure. Shortly after the events of Borderlands 2, Rhys and his partner Vaughn plan to cheat their corporate rival Vasquez out of a lucrative, planetside deal. When the plan goes sideways, the corporate suits team up with the local con-artist Fiona and her sister Sasha. Together with a trusty loader-bot, they embark on a road trip to uncover the secrets of an elusive vault. There's comedy, action, betrayal and more on the ten-hour experience. Adapting Gearbox's long-running looter-shooter turned out to be a match made in heaven; the artistic style of TellTale was a perfect fit for the cell-shaded world of Pandora. This is a gorgeous game that pops with colour, treating you to many amazing sights along the journey. The soundtrack is also a perfect fit; I was introduced to many underrated artists while playing. If there's any criticism of Tales of the Borderlands, it's that it has less interactivity and variable outcomes when compared to its episodic contemporaries. It's a very easy and comfotable experience with very simple puzzles and most of the so-called big choices don't result in major changes. It gets away with it thanks to strong writing and character work. If you're a fan of Borderlands, odds are you've already played through this superb story several times. If you haven't and are a fan of narrative-driven games, make sure to get into Tales from the Borderlands as soon as you can. It's a wildly enjoyable title from start to finish.

This was my first step into Borderlands, and it felt like opening a messy, sparkling present. I recommend it!
