Tales from the Borderlands is not a game I was excited for despite being a fan of both borderlands and telltale games, it was a clashing of the genres that many thought wouldn't work but not only did it massively succeed in what it sets out to do, it also has some of the best writing and best emotional scenes of the entire franchises. If you've ever played a TT game before then you know exactly what you're in for, it's essentially a modern take on the point and click genre but with more dialogue choices which are supposedly impactfull on the whole story. Personally the idea of branching story paths isn't why I like this game so much, it's more the overall story that I like, it manages to distill borderlands humour into something that's funny, with dialogue that doesn't feel like it was written by a 13 year old who's just discovered reddit. It presents it's story seriously with characters that are genuinely funny without someone screaming at you all the time, it really showed up gearbox that a 3rd party developer understood the source material better than gearbox themselves. What's even crazier is that this is a fully canon story that drastically changes the trajectory of main long term characters, it also gives us closure on a certain villan that the franchise cannot shake free from. Overall if you're a fan of borderlands' story then you need to play this game, sure the gameplay might be slow but the writing is so incredibly good that it's worth it, if you're already a TT fan then you've probably played this already. A fantastic addition to the borderlands franchise and easily telltale's 3rd best game.

An exceptional telltale game. Completed it a few years back but even replaying just Episode 4 as standalone today, I had a great time! Humorous experience with great characters and storytelling.

Hey minion! You’re probably wondering is this game worth playing a decade later and to that I say that question has to many syllables APOLOGIZE! Short answer yes! Long answer it doesn’t have Kevin hart in it so double yes!
If you like Borderlands and its humor, then you will enjoy Tales from The Borderlands. This is a very easy-going story game where the characters and writing are its charm. You need to look past the choppy animations, not so great controls, and sometimes rigid dialogue. I enjoyed the adventure, meeting new characters, and hearing about what goes on elsewhere on Pandora outside of the main games. The game can be boiled down to filler and not sure how much your choices really make much of a difference in the end. It may be worth another play-through, but that is a tale for another time.
