For scale, across Steam · Top Sellers · Brazil over the last 30 days: the 26 chart moves that followed a price cut of more than 20% went a median of 7 places towards #1, and the 2,402 moves with no price cut behind them went 2 away. One store, one chart, one country — it is the only place we have enough observations to say even that.
Prices outside the United States have been collected since 6 August 2026 and chart positions since 19 July 2026, so a cut older than that has no market to compare and a market that joined later has no history yet. Nothing here is converted between currencies.

J'adore toute la série Sybéria
#5 After several questionable career decisions, I took a position that sounded unusually appropriate for me: Follow in the footsteps of Kate Walker. Just travel, research, history, mechanical puzzles, and the opportunity to figure out where I was going next. Turns out this was exactly the job I needed. My assignment began with following a thread from the past, but very quickly became something much more personal. The work took me through different places, different lives and different periods of history, slowly piecing together a story that became increasingly difficult to observe from a comfortable professional distance. I got emotionally involved. Again. At this point I should probably stop pretending this isn't a recurring problem on my résumé. The puzzles themselves were enjoyable, but I wanted more. Most were fairly straightforward, with a handful requiring me to stop and properly think. I never needed outside assistance, though, and solving everything myself was satisfying. The piano assignment was a particular favorite. Still, for an employer with such a distinguished history of elaborate mechanical nonsense, I expected to spend considerably more time staring at impossible machinery while questioning the mental state of its inventor. Instead, much of the job consisted of walking, observing, listening and experiencing the story. And strangely, I didn't mind. Because this place was beautiful. Almost suspiciously so. Every tram journey felt like someone in the art department standing behind me whispering, “No, seriously. Look out the window.” So I did. The architecture, streets, interiors, landscapes and little environmental details made simply travelling somewhere part of the experience. The Floral District became my favorite place to wander around, and crossing the water by tram was one of those rare commutes where I wouldn't have minded if public transport took slightly longer. And Oscar... I was happy to have him around again, but sad to see that he was significantly reduced in his responsibilities since his previous employment. He is now adorable. He is also essentially a pocket-sized multitool. I kept expecting a quest near the end, where I could restore him to something closer to his former self, but apparently management looked at our beloved mechanical personality and thought: “What if screwdriver?” Justice for Oscar! Where this job truly excelled, though, was emotionally. Some workplaces have background music. This one has an orchestral department specifically tasked with finding whichever emotion you're currently trying to suppress and hitting it with a piano concert. There were several occasions where I cried. Not because the story demanded it, but because the combination of music, visuals and very human moments made certain scenes land far harder than I expected. It could be beautiful and painful almost simultaneously. Eventually, the assignment stopped feeling like investigating somebody else's history. It became about purpose. About what we do with loss, what remains after people disappear from our lives, and whether moving forward means leaving something behind or carrying it differently. For someone who arrived feeling rather lost, I left remarkably hopeful. Which should have been the end of my employment. Unfortunately, I have a condition known as Completionism. I finished the assignment having missed two performance objectives. Two! There are 30 achievements on the company evaluation form, and quite a few of them are missable, and I apparently consider an incomplete checklist a personal insult. No problem, I thought. I'll simply reopen the relevant case file. "There is no chapter selection." Fine. I'll replay the assignment and skip everything I've already seen. "You cannot skip the cutscenes." This game is approximately 75% cutscenes. So here I am, undertaking an entire second employment contract because I failed to complete two minor administrative requirements during the first. The story is wonderful when you don't know what's coming. When you do, being unable to skip several minutes of beautifully directed emotional cinema because there's a checkbox waiting six hours later begins to feel less like storytelling and more like being held hostage by the cinematography department. I'm currently conducting the second investigation with ruthless efficiency. No sightseeing. No unnecessary conversations. No admiring the architecture. Main story and achievement objectives only. Would I recommend it? Absolutely! If you enjoy story-driven games, atmosphere, exploration and emotional storytelling, this is an easy recommendation. Just understand what you're in for. This is not a puzzle-heavy experience. There are puzzles, and they're enjoyable, but the story is the main filler. You're not watching it from outside; you're walking through it, discovering it and occasionally becoming far more emotionally invested than you thought you would. Take your time. Explore. Read things. Look around. Let the music and visuals do their psychological damage. And if you care about achievements: Check the requirements before progressing. Please. After finishing this job, I decided I needed something less emotionally complicated. Somewhere isolated. A straightforward technical position. Good salary. Engineering environment. Large industrial vessel. Apparently a mining ship called the USG Ishimura needs someone to investigate a communications failure. Finally. A normal, task-based engineering job. Nothing can possibly go wrong.
gud puzzl
