best game OF ALL TIME
Played exclusively on Steam Deck. SMB4 is a great arcade style baseball game for somebody who wants to avoid the deep menu scrolling of a simulation game and just start hitting the ball. Teams and players are fun and colorful with ridiculous names full of baseball puns. Gameplay is fast and intuitive, but still has the potential for deep strategy and skill. Pros: Fast, accessible gameplay. Lots of customizable game modes Deep team and character creator Cons: Limited pitch types Games feel repetitive after a season or two Not a deep baseball simulation (if that's what you are looking for).
7/19/2026: Don't let the cartoony graphics fool you. Underneath them is a fantastically satisfying baseball game. The hitting, pitching, and strategy are all in here, and its so easy to pick up and just play. The pitching system is intuitive, making it the surprising highlight of the game. This reminds me of my favorite PC hockey game, Tape to Tape.
This game is GOATED. I got this game for under 5$ on sale and its incredible. Its a mix of Arcade/Simulation. The pitching mechanics in this game are the best I've ever seen in a baseball game. The hitting feels immaculate. Playing this with friends never gets old. I couldn't recommend this game anymore
