MLB 9 Innings Rivals 26

i'm pretty sure this game has given me a slight gambling addiction but that's just the tip of the iceberg it's a grindhell full of microtransactions. you can play F2P of course and it's one of the better games for F2Ps but if you're not willing to devote at least 3 hours of your day DAILY you aren't going to make much progress and the free rewards are pretty lackluster (which is nuts considering that it's actually WORSE on MLB 9 Innings, the older version only available on mobile platforms) i mean i enjoy it but it's hard to enjoy sometimes when scorched hits become random outs, you rely on unforgiving RNG to improve cards, have microtransactions bombard you 24/7, and have to scrap against absolute whales (live play sucks) they're also slowly getting an exploiter problem which is unfortunate (mfs throwing 170+ in live matches and nothing is being done about it, let alone acknowledged as far as i'm concerned). and there's also power creep in the cards now—new moment card skills make other cards just worse to pull and obviously they're not going to nerf it because people pay for it and some card types are just completely unusable. why have players and their cards in the game when they suck and no one is going to use them (obviously some are way better than others but some cards in this game are genuinely unusable and they often skip past career years and skip players' teams for no real reason, such as half of jeff francoeur's career completely gone) they could also do better with the roster choices and signings. all they sign are 70s and 80s stars and it's like... dude. the whole game is built around live service and modern baseball, and there are way more recent players that are fresher in the memories of this game's playerbase (and MLB fanbase overall) that would make a larger impact on players and fans. slaughter was great, but no pujols??? simmons was fantastic, but no yadi??? no waino??? and the giants just have a permanent black hole at catcher because they refuse to add posey. no wright or piazza for the mets, no donaldson for the jays/athletics, no ichiro and king hernandez for the mariners, list goes on and on. anyway there are no other MLB PC games except for MLB2K which is discontinued abandonware or something. this is the best you have until SDS finally grows a pair and gives the PC market a try.

Huge fan a baseball itself, this game is more realistic than any others I have tried with plenty of history thrown in for good measure.
