LOSE YOUR MIND. EAT YOUR CREW. DIE. Take the helm of your steamship and set sail for the unknown! Sunless Sea is a game of discovery, loneliness and frequent death, set in the award-winning Victorian Gothic universe of Fallen London.

Discounts
Every price cut of more than 20% we have observed, in each market that quoted one, with this game's chart position on either side of it. These are episodes, not a model: a sale is one event, and one event cannot tell you what the next one will do.
Reviews, worldwide (the counter carries no country): 0.57/day in the week to Aug 10 → 0.57/day in the week after.
For scale, across Steam · Top Sellers · Brazil over the last 30 days: the 26 chart moves that followed a price cut of more than 20% went a median of 7 places towards #1, and the 2,402 moves with no price cut behind them went 2 away. One store, one chart, one country — it is the only place we have enough observations to say even that.
Prices outside the United States have been collected since 6 August 2026 and chart positions since 19 July 2026, so a cut older than that has no market to compare and a market that joined later has no history yet. Nothing here is converted between currencies.

https://github.com/kaosensei/sunless-sea-zh-tw
A game that seems explicitly designed to waste my time

This game doesn't seem to know what it is. Part breathtaking exploration and part walls of text written out on the cramped receipt backs, the only maddening horrors I found in this experience were in the game's design. A game about exploring the unknown, cool idea, so why then spend 80% of the game on resource menus? What's the part in every great tale of adventure that everyone remembers, that inspired the imaginations of generations to come? Was it stopping by to pick up 15 lbs of fuel and groceries? No, it was not.
Interesting concept for a world and game, but the actual game and gameplay are more chore than source of enjoyment. Played my first captain 'blind' aka without using the wiki and was interesting to explore with bit of tension not knowing how far I could go safely or what to expect. Beyond that initial sense of exploration the game becomes dull and vague, repeatedly stumbling around in the dark without any sense of progressing until you realise you need to have the wiki open in a browser and constantly using it to double check where you saw something for sale or where it was you needed item x, y, or z. There are many elements that hint of all sorts of options for shaping the future of the world, but feel kind of arbitrary as to why you might pick one over the other as feels lacking in info about them as many things you choose first and info gets drip fed somewhere down the line.
This game is a flawed gem. I cannot recommend it in a world where Sunless Skies and Space Rangers 2 exist. Pros: * Atmospheric writing * Ironman mode brings tension and weight to every decision * Feeling of crawling back into London port with a hold full of loot on last unit of fuel and 98 terror. Cons: * Quests and narrative needs to be repeated on captain death * Does not respect your time * Doles out the superb narrative with the little crack spoon
