Prices
Each in the currency that store quoted — not converted: the gap between two rows is the publisher's pricing, not an exchange rate.
14 of 15 markets; the rest we haven't asked for this title, not markets where it is unavailable.
Availability
We put this game to every storefront we collect. A market that answered not sold has told us something about the game; a market we never asked has not, and the two are never drawn the same.
Discounts
Every price cut of more than 20% we have observed, in each market that quoted one, with this game's chart position on either side of it. These are episodes, not a model: a sale is one event, and one event cannot tell you what the next one will do.

Horrible execution, enemy can break you during your animation but you can't do that to them during their unblockable attack. Enemy 180 degree instant turn block when attacked from behind. Your AI allies are r3tards even when you commanded them. I am at the front engaging enemies while my AI allies are 1 screen away afk. Hit box dont match visuals.

14 on sale1 answered “not sold”0 we did not ask
The 1 “not sold” market is read from the Steam price pass of Aug 25: that day the store answered for this game elsewhere and gave no price there. The 14 priced markets are the same rows as the table above — each the latest price we hold, dated here when it is older than that pass. The 0 marked “not asked” were not put to this store at all — either it has no storefront there or we do not collect it yet, and neither is a statement about the game. A refusal is a refusal on one day; a store can list a title again tomorrow.
Reviews, worldwide (the counter carries no country): 1.89/day in the week to Aug 4 → 3/day in the week after.
For scale, across Steam · Top Sellers · Brazil over the last 30 days: the 24 chart moves that followed a price cut of more than 20% went a median of 9 places towards #1, and the 2,419 moves with no price cut behind them went 2 away. One store, one chart, one country — it is the only place we have enough observations to say even that.
Prices outside the United States have been collected since 6 August 2026 and chart positions since 19 July 2026, so a cut older than that has no market to compare and a market that joined later has no history yet. Nothing here is converted between currencies.

It's unfortunate that I hesitated so long to get this. This is a great action game with a lot of gameplay variety, nice boss battles, decent enemy diversity, and serves as a nice homage to other Final Fantasy games in its level designs. Everything has weight to it. When you power up a charge with a massive axe it feels incredibly satisfying to smack a floating eye in the face with it. The progression is mostly well done, though the item drops are even more obnoxious than the most plentiful of Diablo-like games out there. The dismantle system that automatically destroys items in accordance with parameters you set was a nice touch, but quality is always better than quantity in my opinion. The maps are linear and offer little in the way of exploration, though there's a hint of that. The side quests of the game have you going over slightly altered routes of maps you've already played through. All in all, while each map is great to play through the first time, they do start to wear a bit thin. Story wise, for the vast majority of the game there isn't much to say... the writing is peak anime cringe in a way that most people will love but will cause physical discomfort to some. It's silly and doesn't take itself seriously--except then it flips and absolutely DOES try to take itself seriously, and the tonal shift is awkward. Ultimately though, it's still decent for the most part, offering a unique take on the original Final Fantasy's origins. The characters themselves are right from the bucket labeled 'standard anime characters' and thus are dorky, lame, cringe, etc. If you're into that, you'll love it. I hated every character in this game and actively cheered for bad things to happen to them. I didn't run into many issues with performance, some mild drops in frames once in a while. I had one CTD toward the end of the game and lost a few minutes of progress/item drops, but nothing too offensive. Your mileage may vary--other people seem to have more issues than I did. I do have to scoff at the inability to run the game in 4K though. What is this, the 1980s? The shining part of this game is strictly in its gameplay. It's fast, fun, weighty, and mostly challenging. There are some odd difficulty spikes. The hardest boss (for me) was the very first 'actual' boss, whereas most of the others (including the final) went down in an attempt or two. Still, the encounters are fun. If you're not familiar with action games like this that rely on combos and diverse move-sets, you'll find a pretty ample challenge. If you've played Ninja Gaiden, Devil May Cry--even Dark Souls to an extent--you'll be familiar enough with the loop that it may not offer much resistance. I've just finished the main story and haven't done much of the post-game content, but there's a ton to do and I intend on playing more. All in all I hesitated on buying this for years now, and I wish I would have gotten it sooner. It's genuinely a great action game and well worth the ~20 bucks I spent on it. I dare say had I paid full price for it I would have been satisfied, but since it goes on sale pretty regularly, you may as well wait for a sale before you do. Or don't. I'm not your mom.
难度设计比仁王好多了,对新手友好。动作系统也不错,简化,就是不知道为什么,好无聊;;;;剧情莫名其妙,而且画面巨垃圾,对比前面几作一点进步也没有,眼睛瞎了,玩不下去
Before my NEGATIVE review was simply due to the optimisation. But now I do want to actually state reasons as to why this is trash. Base game is snorefest. It offers no challenge even on hard mode. EVERY single boss is easy mode because they are not designed to be fought like bosses. Most of them can be hella abused by the teamates or by simply picking the good jobs. The final boss (without spoiling) can only be fought 1v1 meaning without your teamates. That being said I've never fought an easier boss ever. It took me 4 tries and that's only because the first 2 ttries I tried to spam it with op jobs to deal with it faster. It's UNFATHOMABLY boring. This game offers no challenge. Up until the DLCs. And then the game becomes boring and tedious to deal with. In order to beat high level missions you can't simply be good and have proper jobs leveled and have good level gear. No you need to have affinity levels for preferably 3 jobs , gear sets , job at lvl 300 and then the dragon kin perks and then juggling with 2 jobs at the time and then also setting up the oricalcus ring and also adding a little salt pepper for good measure. It's convoluted for no reason MESS that upscaled the Nioh's gear sets for no reason by adding job affinities and other stuff that work between each other. ♥♥♥♥ felt like working an ACTUAL job. It was mindnumbingly boring. Story is mid , ost is mid , some of the scenes are funny due to how butt the acting is. 1/10. I lost all interest in video games. Never buying another koei tecmo gamw
如果让我在忍组的作品里,选一部最烂的那么一定是最终幻想起源。 还有这个灯笼怪设计的意义是什么呢?是不是单纯的恶心玩家?
I wish Square Enix and KOEI can make a Final Fantasy Dynasty Warriors game
画质美术太烂了 玩这游戏瞎眼
Preface: I bought this on sale for 16€. Playtime includes 31 hours of Season Pass (which I played like 3 months later). I have not played any adjacent Final Fantasy games but I streamed it for a friend who has. The reason why I bought this game was because of the memetic trailers. "I'm here to kill Chaos" is just campy enough that I knew I would get a good chuckle out of this game for an evening or two with some friends. As far as story goes, what I saw is what I got. Without knowing anything about Final Fantasy 1, I was just in it for the Chaos, but my friend got a kick out of all the Final Fantasy references and says it's an excellent Final Fantasy 1 retelling. The hack'n'slash/soulslikey combat (that I later learned is pretty much what Nioh is) was solid. The various systems the game dumped on me at the start were maybe a little overwhelming, but for the main game, I didn't really need to engage with them too much, which was fine for me because I just wanted to see more of the story. As the difficulty started ramping up, I was getting more and more engaged in the action itself, checking out the dozens of different jobs until I locked myself into one that really stuck with me (Sage). When the season pass content started ramping up the difficulty, I found myself actually delving super deep into the equipment and other mechanics which just made me love the game even more, but I'll cover that more in the Season Pass DLC review. Just know that there's plenty of room for variety of builds and there's plenty of difficult challenges that you can choose to take or avoid that lets you experiment a bit if you're getting bored. Overall, if you love a protagonist who doesn't want to listen to loredumps, tries his hardest to skip any dialogue and absolutely cannot read any rooms at all, it's a great game even if you don't care about Final Fantasy. For the Final Fantasy lovers (especially of the first one), seeing those old monsters come to life in a reimagined way must be ecstatic.
