I enjoyed stellaris in the past, and youtube content had been making me consider getting back into it and even buying new DLC, but due to its use of AI I cannot recommend this product to any gamer with standards, and personally will not be purchasing any more products from Paradox Interactive. Its unfortunate that paradox has tainted this game in that way and I will be seeking a refund from steam if they'll honor it, but regardless of the results of that you shouldn't play this game if you don't like the corporate AI giants.
Wasted many of hours making my own empires and taking over the galaxy. Very much worth a try if you're into colony sims or the total war franchise. Though it plays very differently.
make new campaign, play for a week, lose interest, wait six months. Repeat.
updates break everything every time
The new Nomad expansion is incredibly imbalanced. A single Arc Ship with only 420 Fleet Power can solo a 3k fleet and literally leave combat without having to actually retreat. Uninstalling.
