About
The city burns and bleeds as it suffers the madness of King Louis XVI and his violent legions of automatons. Aegis, a mechanical masterpiece created by the engineer Vaucanson to be the queen's bodyguard, must save the French Revolution in this challenging action-RPG.
Up against the king's mechanical soldiers, deadly accuracy will be needed. String together dodges, parries, jumps and devastating attacks to fight your way through Paris. Every fight will test your nerve and requires excellent discipline, while the huge relentless machine bosses demand patience and skill.
Define your own style and upgrade your abilities as you progress through the game. You can play as a ruthless warrior, a hard-hitting bodyguard, a deadly dancer or a virtuoso of the elemental arts. Take advantage of a wide variety of weapons and skills to approach each fight in your own unique way.
Using carriages, grapples, secret passages, a detailed map, and other methods and tools you find along the way, explore a city experiencing its darkest days. Your grappling hook adds a new dimension to exploration and Paris's verticality. Combined with your dash ability, it will provide access to all the city's secrets across multiple levels you can explore over and over again.
You are one of the main characters of an alternative history where Paris is being choked by a tyrant king. Allies and enemies with unclear motives will cross your path, such as Marie-Antoinette, Lafayette and Robespierre. It's up to you to cut a path through all the plotting and put an end to one man's madness so that the French Revolution succeeds.

Another great game from my beloved Spiders! Soulslike in a magnificent atmosphere of napoleonic Paris from an alternate universe where it's taken over by automatons! If you're tired of the enless doom and gloom of soulslikes, bloodbornes etc and you want to play something with a similar mechanics, but set in a more optimistic setting - look no further!

For scale, across Steam · Top Sellers · Brazil over the last 30 days: the 22 chart moves that followed a price cut of more than 20% went a median of 9 places towards #1, and the 2,513 moves with no price cut behind them went 2 away. One store, one chart, one country — it is the only place we have enough observations to say even that.
Prices outside the United States have been collected since 6 August 2026 and chart positions since 19 July 2026, so a cut older than that has no market to compare and a market that joined later has no history yet. Nothing here is converted between currencies.

For AA Jenk, it's actually really good, and surprising how close this was to Lies of P - but this came out first. My only real Gripe w/ the game is that you only get FOUR Healing Potions for most of the Game with a hard MAX of 5!!!!! If that isn't a deal-breaker for you, and you want another decent Soulslike like Lies of P, this is worth getting on sale & Playing thru.
Initially when I started playing the game I was liking the exploration, setting, combat and enemies. 5 hours in, I started speed running the game, why? Because this game wants to make every single enemy tanky as hell. I thought the combat would ease over and become better as I level up but no, it stayed consistent throughout and every enemy felt tanky as hell, I lost interest in the story, I don't even know what it was trying to convey. The performance was very bad, the game truly reveals its optimization in the final area of the game, it's like they focused only on that area to show actual performance of the game lol. The combat is souls-like but it tries to get hack and slashy, no matter how much you dump into endurance you cannot do any of your combos, you're hit hard by the enemy by the time you plan something. Also, every enemy hits you back like a tank as well on top of being tanky. Healing, items and everything felt underpowered as hell to me. Overall this game is a solid 3/10 for me, I really was expecting more but for the price I paid, it's the best I can expect.
Very enjoyable combat, visuals, storytelling, world, atmosphere, and character progression. The storytelling is efficient and unobtrusive, and I found myself wanting to know more rather than annoyed by the dialogue and text. It's totally skippable. This has all the fundamentals of a souls-like, so nothing is going to surprise you if you've played one of those before. They have some novel approaches to weapons and stats that make it worth playing. Every weapon is theoretically balanced--you can level up the first weapon you get and use it the whole game if you want. Weapons all scale mainly with (strength) or (dexterity) but have different move sets and special abilities, so once you pick strength or dexterity, you find the weapons with the move sets you enjoy and special abilities you like. The specials include projectile attacks, an elemental damage buff, a parry + counter attack, a shield that can parry-stun if you time it right, and a variety of "bladestorm" mobile aoe attacks. Some weapons can do elemental attacks, which can stack up special effects like frozen or burning in the usual way, although interestingly you can spec your character into stacking effects more quickly, which I really like--you can use the elemental buffs for extra damage, or for their special debuffs on the enemy. I've found the game decently easy, but I've played a lot of these games. I one-shot a lot of the bosses, sometimes with extra potions. The one-time use potions heal you over twenty seconds, only your flask heals you instantly, after the animation. Still, combat is satisfying and strategic, and I've never been bored during the combat or exploration segments. The lowest part of the game is the sub quests, because they require you to backtrack over levels you've already beaten. You get to open up shortcuts as you go, but it is still a pain to navigate sometimes, especially the first few you do. It's much easier to navigate the first time you explore, because you're just going forward, but once everything's been opened, it actually becomes a little harder to navigate since the levels are mazes and you can't just go towards your objective. They do give you items that teleport you back to the fast travel point once you finish a side quest. Side quests are totally skippable, but still basically worth it. The second worst thing about the game is that it shoves you into boss fights sometimes. It does usually give you the option to talk to an NPC (usually through a locked door, like in Asteregos) and they will give you hints about how to fight the boss (or what they are immune to). The third worst thing is giving you occasional binary choices you don't fully understand but seem like they will affect the ending. Choices should matter, but give us context.
Great game with a good variety of enemies and weapons. I went DEX parry build but I think alchemist maybe really fun. Bosses maybe too easy. Its a cool linear adventure game with souls like mechanics. Optimization is the real problem. I recommend on sale, especially cause the studio got shutdown by Nacon.
It's a fun soulslike with a great story, vaguely historically inspired. If you know some stuff about the french revolution you will maybe recognize some characters. The only real weak points of the game are the mid performance, even when i tried it on windows, and some unfortunate item placements that can let you miss important parts of the story and even lock you out of future parts of the story. You can get locked into a very early stage of side quests if you missed a single item for example. All in all it's great, i had a lot of fun with all of the counterattack weapons.
otimo souls ,recomendo...
