About
Hop into the driver's seat of your rocket-powered big rig as you haul cargo, scavenge for salvage and interact with an eclectic cast of star-hopping truckers in this Americana-infused journey on the ultimate open road - space!

Hi, this is Monster and Monster. Star Trucker is our tiny indie team's passion project, and we’re committed to making it the best intergalactic trucking game we can. By listening to the community, we’re working hard to improve the experience with every update. So buckle up and join us for the long haul!

Your truck is not a starship. We’ve taken typical vehicular controls then made sure zero-g momentum played a big part in maneuvers. The result is a unique driving experience that’s easy to pick up yet hard to master!
Cruise the hyper highways, taking on a variety of jobs such as fuel hungry long hauls and hazardous drop-offs to earn cash and unlock new content.
And don't forget to monitor the CB radio for chatter from fellow truckers; it's a fantastic way to uncover side gigs and stay updated on galactic gossip.

Keeping your rig runnin’ isn’t always easy. You’ll need to keep your core systems online, gravity compensator spinnin’ and hull patched to prevent your cab from leaking lung juice.
Be sure to make pre-trip shop stops for replacement parts, and consider upgrading your truck at a local garage. These improvements are vital for safely navigating volatile sectors and ensuring timely deliveries.

Use the galactic map to plan your journey and warp jumps, while keeping an eye on your fuel reserves and power levels.
Once your route is set, kick back, crank up the cab hi-fi and cruise to a selection of original songs covering starburst blues, galactic rock and asteroid infused americana. The open road is waiting!

Does not handle like a space ship or a Truck, handles like a wet paper towle. I can't belive someone made this and thought it was a fun product. You can't even separate the break and reverse action for the peripherals. Maybe because I use a flight stick and throttle. I switched to using my flight pedals as forward and backwards and it worked better and now it feels like I am flying a lawnmower. Terrible experience. Can't even set deadzoones for the sticks different axis. Terrible Product, my fist ever refund!
Игра хорошая но еще не доведена до конца, так как есть невидимые стенки с пиксельными стенками в которые ты врезаешься и ломаешь грузак.

For scale, across Steam · Top Sellers · Brazil over the last 30 days: the 26 chart moves that followed a price cut of more than 20% went a median of 7 places towards #1, and the 2,402 moves with no price cut behind them went 2 away. One store, one chart, one country — it is the only place we have enough observations to say even that.
Prices outside the United States have been collected since 6 August 2026 and chart positions since 19 July 2026, so a cut older than that has no market to compare and a market that joined later has no history yet. Nothing here is converted between currencies.

I'd like to one day come back to this game because I thoroughly enjoy the concept and art style, but am too frustrated with a couple aspects to continue playing. This could all change but for now here are my gripes (for context, I chose the "All Rounder" mode which claims to be a sort of "Normal" mode): 1) Maglock should activate from farther away and with less tediousness on the alignment. In the current iteration, it is extremely difficult to line up a often constantly moving shot, get within a yard of said target and throw the switch off to the side of the chair while maintaining said alignment and distance. This is easier when docking at a space station, but still something I think worth changing. 2) Payload/Cargo holders should not allow the containers to be moved by the truck while attempting to achieve maglock. This led to 2 different times where I accidentally pushed the containers, little by little, out of the holder until they were free floating and spinning in space. I could not find a way to achieve maglock under such conditions and reloaded the saves. 3) Debris is everywhere and will chip away at possible profits, with so much room in space and how far along this game world's technology is, you would think they'd have cleaned up some of this, especially in the core system you start out in. 4) The straw that broke the camel's back for me might have just come down to bad luck, but I encountered an issue when attempting to jump to a new system where I was taking a bit to line up properly and traffic piled up behind me. The ring first appeared to register me and I attempted to go following the green lit sequence, but I think it detected a truck behind me pulling up as I got close and reset the countdown cancelling the jump for me. Perhaps I never lined up properly at all, which would amount to another level of tedium I am not ready to address here. Like I said, I'd love to come back to try this game again after some further tweaking has been done, especially to the maglock system, but it is too frustrating right now for me to consider playing further.
Doing the tutorial not sure where to go or where the drop off is. Avoid until they figure out how to do a tutorial.
good, kind of low fps for a steamdeck
The trailer of this game is giving you false expectations, the game is just a waste of money and time. You pilot the truck for short distances, it has 0 story and it was made just to kill time.
Купил игру, чтобы бороздить просторы Вселенной, а в итоге полчаса пытался прицепить задом второй груз
tl;dr: ok. Verdict: 2 of 4 random asteroids damaging your space truck. Yes, i like transport sims. Star trucker is one, as much as a transport repairing and restocking sim. Plus. or minus: You get to cosplay a US-truck driver from the 70s, in space. If you like this concept, buy Space Trucker at a sale. If not, don't buy it at all. I'd prefer it to be more scifi, less retro, but, well, it is what it is.
If you're like me this game's niche appeals to you and that's all that matters, it is what it is, I'll just warn you it is a difficult game. I don't mean it's a very challenging or hard game, it's difficult like a difficult friend, someone undeniably cool you want to hang out with because they're always doing something interesting - but they're not as deep as they think, they're stingy and they've got bad habits and a tendency to waste your time. This could easily have been a negative review but I honestly enjoyed cruising along with compressed country rock warbling in my ears, Honk honk!
The Good - Gameplay Loop. Kept me around and was enjoyable. - Controls. Easy to understand everything can be rebound. - Gravity. I really enjoyed learning how to deal with the games gravity system. - Graphics. IMO, I loved the style the game is presented in. - Challenges. Nothing felt unfair and was a nice way to push me to 100% the game. - Difficulty. Before starting a game, you can adjust most settings to make that run more or less difficult. The Bad - Story. While I see what they wanted. In the games current state. It left much to be desired. Overall I'll keep playing. They keep putting out updates, and given the last few Dev Posts. I am looking forward to seeing this game's future updates.
