About
Hop into the driver's seat of your rocket-powered big rig as you haul cargo, scavenge for salvage and interact with an eclectic cast of star-hopping truckers in this Americana-infused journey on the ultimate open road - space!

Hi, this is Monster and Monster. Star Trucker is our tiny indie team's passion project, and we’re committed to making it the best intergalactic trucking game we can. By listening to the community, we’re working hard to improve the experience with every update. So buckle up and join us for the long haul!

Your truck is not a starship. We’ve taken typical vehicular controls then made sure zero-g momentum played a big part in maneuvers. The result is a unique driving experience that’s easy to pick up yet hard to master!
Cruise the hyper highways, taking on a variety of jobs such as fuel hungry long hauls and hazardous drop-offs to earn cash and unlock new content.
And don't forget to monitor the CB radio for chatter from fellow truckers; it's a fantastic way to uncover side gigs and stay updated on galactic gossip.

Keeping your rig runnin’ isn’t always easy. You’ll need to keep your core systems online, gravity compensator spinnin’ and hull patched to prevent your cab from leaking lung juice.
Be sure to make pre-trip shop stops for replacement parts, and consider upgrading your truck at a local garage. These improvements are vital for safely navigating volatile sectors and ensuring timely deliveries.

Use the galactic map to plan your journey and warp jumps, while keeping an eye on your fuel reserves and power levels.
Once your route is set, kick back, crank up the cab hi-fi and cruise to a selection of original songs covering starburst blues, galactic rock and asteroid infused americana. The open road is waiting!

good, kind of low fps for a steamdeck

For scale, across Steam · Top Sellers · Brazil over the last 30 days: the 24 chart moves that followed a price cut of more than 20% went a median of 9 places towards #1, and the 2,404 moves with no price cut behind them went 2 away. One store, one chart, one country — it is the only place we have enough observations to say even that.
Prices outside the United States have been collected since 6 August 2026 and chart positions since 19 July 2026, so a cut older than that has no market to compare and a market that joined later has no history yet. Nothing here is converted between currencies.

The Good - Gameplay Loop. Kept me around and was enjoyable. - Controls. Easy to understand everything can be rebound. - Gravity. I really enjoyed learning how to deal with the games gravity system. - Graphics. IMO, I loved the style the game is presented in. - Challenges. Nothing felt unfair and was a nice way to push me to 100% the game. - Difficulty. Before starting a game, you can adjust most settings to make that run more or less difficult. The Bad - Story. While I see what they wanted. In the games current state. It left much to be desired. Overall I'll keep playing. They keep putting out updates, and given the last few Dev Posts. I am looking forward to seeing this game's future updates.
the game is constant 17 fps and laggy i have 5070ti with r7 9800x3d. i hope they fix optimization. other than that game is fun. i made a custom game setting for ultra hardcore gameplay and the constant pressure of trying to survive is awesome.
You should take Star Trucker on its own merits and know that it's not meant to be Truck Simulator in space. It's a great, relaxing time. I personally haven't encountered any bugs.
I hate this damn game! The physics throw you all over the place and unless you have experience playing a trucker sim, this game is not for you. The controls are wonky, the pitch is hard and good luck dealing with 90% of the problems the game throws at you. I died three times within the first two hours of playing this damn thing. I regret buying this!
The concept of the game is okay, is basically a truck simulator in a space setting. What is NOT OKAY, is the tediousness of the whole repair/system management. The concept is great, but the execution is not. Batteries should be rechargeable, and buying them from the shops should be used only for upgrading to have more capacity. God forbid you try to do some immersion ad rest in a dedicated parking area for, you know, sleep.... because if you do so everything will continue to discharge! I tried to sleep for two hours and i lost consciousness from asphyxiation! Dedicated parking should combine a recharge mechanic for electrical and air. Subsystems should be repairable at the repair shop (for an extra fee) and manual repairs /swapping batteries should be more for the emergency cases. The docking mechanic is tedious, cargo of course makes sense... but why i have to dock manually in all the shops and the job boards with the exception of the repair shop where you just have to park in front of it? It is especially tedious since movement feels strange, it's like having input lag. Last but not least... the damned cargo flying everywhere is extremely frustrating! Every time you brake violently, hit debris or you change the damn battery of the gravity generator things fly everywhere because there isn't some way to fix your cargo to the ship with something like straps/nets or maybe some king of magnetic crates or lockers! Honestly i regret buying this game. I have played truck simulator before and i expected a similar experience but in a sci-fi setting, but this id nowhere near that.
Controls are atrocious. WIll not touch again until xyz thrusters implemented.
