Squiggle Football

"Super fun AFL strategy game, even if the learning curve hits hard." Squiggle Football is a really impressive spin on Australian Rules. The learning curve is definitely on the harsher side—figuring out all the mechanics and getting your strategy right takes some real trial and error early on. But once everything clicks, the core loop is super rewarding and a total blast to play. It's really refreshing to see someone take a crack at a smart, creative AFL title. Playing this makes me genuinely hopeful that we'll start seeing even more unique takes on Aussie Rules in the indie game scene down the track. Definitely worth pushing through the initial difficulty spike if you want a fresh spin on the sport.

Never thought I say "AFL deckbuilder" but here we are. It's a really cool little game that I fear will not hold my attention for very long but fun nonetheless.
