SpeedRunners 2 is a high-speed multiplayer platformer where rival superheroes face off in breakneck races using parkour, grappling hooks, and game-changing power-ups. Fall behind, and a shrinking ring of fire eliminates you – until only one runner remains.

Idk why people are ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ on this game tbh. I have seen a lot of people saying they ruined the music or some ♥♥♥♥ but they really didn't I still like the music a lot and let's be real for a sec nobody played this ♥♥♥♥ for the music even if it did enhance the gameplay. The artstyle also looks good and if I'm being real I actually like it better just because there is a lot more polish like better backgrounds and ♥♥♥♥. I think I definitely would have prefered it stay 2d and they just made it look way better and more polish but in general it looks good during gameplay at least. I do think some of the lobby elements and animations look a little unfinished and a little bad but during gameplay it definitely looks good. I personally at least have not experienced any of the visual clutter that people are talking about and I think what they mean is the background details and ♥♥♥♥ are too much which I kind of get if you are very used to the extremely simple graphics of the first game but in general people are overexaggerating but it would be cool if there was an option or something for simpler graphics. In general the game still feels just as good as the first and they added some cool new movement ♥♥♥♥ for you to learn and it is still a lot of fun but I will say the only problems I have right here. The game is definitely lacking for being a full release with the missing characters from the first game, only 8 maps, and few new items. I do think it there needed to be at the very least more maps before full release. The tutorials for the advanced techniques are also a little poor and I think they need to be longer to better get down the techniques instead of you basically going to the next one after succeeding once and being unable to go back. Overall though this is still a fun ass game and is $5 cheaper than the first game so I think it is definitely worth the price especially if you don't have the first one. Edit: Ok so I did experience the visual clarity problems and it is mostly because of the better looking backgrounds so hopefully in the future there is an option for simpler backgrounds but it still is not as big of an issue that most make it out to be. Secondly I forgot to mention that a lot of the negative reviews are also upset about the bad campaign and it's like ok? Who tf is playing speedrunners for the campaign? I never played solo in the first game and the most important thing in a speedrunners game is the multiplayer which again is still great and fun. Edit2: Ranked is pretty bad rn since there are no placements so even though I am in beginner league I am being placed against sweats who know all the advanced techniques and best routes and every single small detail in every map. I'm still mostly having fun but may need to switch to unranked because I have had significantly fairer games in that mode.

The game is great! The soundtrack isn't as impacting as the previous entry in the series and I feel like there are slightly differences in the game physics, but it's still perfect and it doesn't feel bad/wrong. People are complaining about online and other stuff, but this can be fixed in future updates, which can happen frequently. New characters and costumes also can be released later. I love the game and the experience. The game feels great overall!
the game was unpolished and buggy no friend join for multiplayer game crashed for my friend within the second match doesn't live up to the first one at all.
super fun game to play with friends
Very dissapointed with the full release. No new stages and only a couple new characters and more stuff to ulock then in the demo.(Demo Data didn't transfer) Haven't tried the new campaign myself, but I'm not intrested. I just wanted more stages, new items and more characters. Instead we got no new stages, nerfed items and nerft speed. They where smart to remove the demo because you could have just download the demo and a good time for free.
This game is a lot better than the reviews make it seem. I would say that this game is definitely worse than Speedrunners 1, but it stands on its own two feet just fine. The new gameplay mechanics make the game distinct from its predecessor, and I've been really enjoying the learning process of the new maps, even if I think the maps in the first game are superior. But the most important thing is that this game is FUN. Really fun!! I do have some criticisms but I think they're issues that can be improved with patches later, namely visual clarity and online input delay. More complex character designs and more detailed backgrounds work together to make it really hard to tell what's going on if every player is in close quarters with each other. I also don't love the new tackle mechanic but that's probably just a skill issue. Considering that this game is cheaper than Speedrunners 1, I think it's well worth it.
