SpeedRunners 2 is a high-speed multiplayer platformer where rival superheroes face off in breakneck races using parkour, grappling hooks, and game-changing power-ups. Fall behind, and a shrinking ring of fire eliminates you – until only one runner remains.

Nope. Do not buy, just play the first one. The maps are the same but worse (automated wind tunnels are all OVER the place, a bunch of jank geometry you can get caught on), and there are only 8 maps (with a and b sides, but still similar to each other, and all based on maps from the last game). The items are tuned weirdly (the missile knows your ip address it tracks so hard, the golden hook holds you in place as it seems to track first place instead of the guy nearest you, the drill barely effects players, the gun is absurdly abusable, ice doesn't have ice physics). The physics are also jank- your jumps are floaty (which could be fine) but your gravity is artificially increased when jumping into slopes, and corner collision/gravity seems overbearingly strong sometimes, resulting in eaten jump inputs. Besides that we also had some buggy/rough programming- you can be so far ahead of players you are COMPLETELY OFFSCREEN. We had a missile hover above a players head as they slid, and once a player grappled another while they were on two sides of a platform, both getting stuck for several seconds and dying. And on top of that every map is NEON. Mostly NEON YELLOW I CAN'T SEE! And golden skins are an unlock? Why? So my character DISAPPEARS from view? Also no cat (that we saw).

Very dissapointed with the full release. No new stages and only a couple new characters and more stuff to ulock then in the demo.(Demo Data didn't transfer) Haven't tried the new campaign myself, but I'm not intrested. I just wanted more stages, new items and more characters. Instead we got no new stages, nerfed items and nerft speed. They where smart to remove the demo because you could have just download the demo and a good time for free.
It's not horrible, but it's a downgrade compared to the first game, so I can't earnestly recommend it. It has that overwatch/fortnite just-realistic-enough-to-not-be-uncanny art style that's so boring to look at even compared to the more simplistic art style of the original. The two new items are generic. The maps are just reskins of the old maps. The story mode has bosses that don't really fit with the high speed gameplay. Now, to be fair, I do like that the online multiplayer goes up to 8 people now, so I don't intend to refund it. TL;DR: Only buy this game if you have more than 3 friends to play online with, otherwise stick with the first game.
i think that this game could have been great. but its not. its buggy its clunky and why am i so slow?? it doesnt feel like speedrunners and the new style doesn't add to speedrunners it js feels like a cheap knock off that doesnt deserve the great name of speedrunners. #boycott this game bro js update the old one or maybe get rid of all the new ♥♥♥♥ effects.
This game is a lot better than the reviews make it seem. I would say that this game is definitely worse than Speedrunners 1, but it stands on its own two feet just fine. The new gameplay mechanics make the game distinct from its predecessor, and I've been really enjoying the learning process of the new maps, even if I think the maps in the first game are superior. But the most important thing is that this game is FUN. Really fun!! I do have some criticisms but I think they're issues that can be improved with patches later, namely visual clarity and online input delay. More complex character designs and more detailed backgrounds work together to make it really hard to tell what's going on if every player is in close quarters with each other. I also don't love the new tackle mechanic but that's probably just a skill issue. Considering that this game is cheaper than Speedrunners 1, I think it's well worth it.
I played the original a bunch with my friends but haven't played it in probably 4-5 years. From the perspective of getting on and just casually playing with friends to have fun, this game is awesome and is an improvement from the first! I really dig the visuals and characters, and I thoroughly enjoy the movement. My only critique is that the current "unfair" CPUs are not that hard, but were good enough that we had to stay focused to keep beating them.

Можно, а зачем
Original is waaay better. Way too confusing, too many colors, animations have too many particles, cant tell which one is my character half the time. Copied most the maps, just a lazy and bad re-release. Not suprised it comes in cheaper than the 10 year old original
