Great follow-up to Spark 2. The levels are absolutely huge, fast, and still long enough that they don't end before you blink. The story's real interesting too, and beating the game generously unlocks all of the stages (no bosses / cutscenes) from Spark 2. Totally recommend this game to anybody in to high-speed 3D platforming
my favorite sonic game doesnt include sonic. wild.

basically, take everything wrong about Spark 2 and make it good. Spark 3 might be one of the best 3D platformer I've ever touched. If you have a decent PC, you HAVE to play this game (there is a switch port, though I'm gonna say that it's very rough and might ruin the experience). The combat has been fixed since Spark 2 and now it's not a "button smash" anymore, one of the main complaints I had with Spark 2 is that the combat was simplified since the first game, making the bosses and other enemies' fights really easy. Luckly, this was fixed in this game, some of the bosses are still pathetically easy but they're 10 times better than Spark 2's bosses - you actually have to dodge the attacks instead of just parry them endlessly, and makes the bosses and enemies much more satisfying to defeat. Another complaint I had with Spark 2 is the stages feeling too linear, in Spark 3 the levels are massive - you can basically explore the village area in Terminal Village, or the fact that they added the exploration medals which encourages the player to explore more of the levels. Lastly, this is the best conclusion and overall the best story in the trilogy (WARNING: SPOILERS AHEAD).
the way everything that happened in the first two games relates back to Clarity and how everything Spark did in this game only helped her to reach her goal was such a nice twist, Claritas Centralis was one of the most eerie final bosses I ever fought but it was worth it.
TL;DR: Spark 3 is a fantastic game that you should definitely try, I still recommend to check the other two Spark games if you haven't despite their issues.
i LOVE the speed and i reccomend it
Better than sonic frontiers
A Sonic fan who understands what makes Sonic fun better than just about every Sonic game since Heroes. Highly enjoyable platformer
Amazing, a must-play for every Sonic fan ! Despite having it in my library for a long time, I never finished it until today, and that was such a mistake. I 100% recommend it ! Buy the game and help us take down the force !
played this game on switch and thought it was barely playable on there, got it on steam soon after getting my pc only to realise the game was still unpolished as rusty steel the game has cool ideas and ♥♥♥♥♥ it up in the most baffling of ways -the levels are meant to be explorable but ends up just putting orbs in spots nobody with a pulse would ever go to and almost never does anything interesting with it -despite using litteraly every button on the controller it somehow still manages to have the sonic adventure 2 problem of multiple actions being assigned to the same button, for example light dash and homing attack are on the same button and during a helicopter section at the end of downtown dissent flying down is extremely difficult because of this; one of my favourite games ever neon white feels way more expressive than this game while only using your sticks, shoulder buttons and triggers when played on a controller -on note of the controls, how come a game THAT HAS A POP UP ON START UP HIGHLY RECOMMENDING CONTROLLER USE, dosent have native button remapping????? -while i like the art style in a vacuum, stages are so visually busy with their geometry and props to a headache inducing amount, i should not be getting caught on things and getting lost in a game this focused on speed -the combat slows the game down so damn much and the combo system that rewards you for using a variety of attacks feels like a way to make these sections more fun but it suffers from dmc2 syndrome in that the downward air kick shreds everything regardless of the damage multiplier -levels with cutscenes force you to rewatch the cutscene (or a portion of it before it can be skipped) infact from what i remember theres a whole BOSS FIGHT the game forces you to play anytime you complete lost riveria aka bargain bin rail canyon, i think it might genuinely be faster to just reboot the game than it is to intentionally die to or beat the "unwinnable" scripted fight (and from what i recall, ive seen a video about spark 2 where there was an option when you are replaying a level with a cutscene you have the option to play it again without one, i genuinely have zero clue why this is not in this game) overall to describe this game it feels like if all 3 gameplay styles in sonic adventure 2 were fused into one game with each style's problems amplified
