Discounts
Every price cut of more than 20% we have observed, in each market that quoted one, with this game's chart position on either side of it. These are episodes, not a model: a sale is one event, and one event cannot tell you what the next one will do.
Reviews, worldwide (the counter carries no country): 4.29/day in the week to Sep 14 → 5/day in the week after.
For scale, across Steam · Top Sellers · Brazil over the last 30 days: the 24 chart moves that followed a price cut of more than 20% went a median of 9 places towards #1, and the 2,404 moves with no price cut behind them went 2 away. One store, one chart, one country — it is the only place we have enough observations to say even that.
Prices outside the United States have been collected since 6 August 2026 and chart positions since 19 July 2026, so a cut older than that has no market to compare and a market that joined later has no history yet. Nothing here is converted between currencies.
About
Space Engineers 2 is currently a Playable Alpha In Active Development and already lets you begin building, surviving, and colonizing the Almagest System.
You arrive in the distant Almagest System on humanity’s first large-scale colonization mission. Your ship is damaged on entry, your tools are basic, and the planets below are beautiful but unforgiving. From here, everything you build is up to you.
Explore planets, moons, asteroid rings, and dense clusters. Mine resources, construct bases and starships, complete contracts, discover Datapads, trade, expand into new sectors, and push the frontier forward alone now, and later together with friends as co-op and large-scale multiplayer arrive over the course of Early Access.
Space Engineers 2 takes everything we have learned over the past 10 years and reimagines the space engineering experience with more depth, precision, and creative freedom than ever before. Powered by our new VRAGE3 engine, creation and destruction feel better than ever.
Build ships, stations, bases, and machines. Mine asteroids, reshape terrain, carve tunnels, damage structures, and experiment in a fully destructible sandbox where engineering decisions matter.
Whether you are a veteran Space Engineer or new to the series, Space Engineers 2 gives you a growing sandbox where your creativity can shine while the game continues expanding through Early Access.
Explore the next generation of construction with the 25 cm Unified Grid System. No more large-grid vs small-grid separation: blocks fit together seamlessly, making it easier to create detailed and functional builds.
Mounting point visualization, grid lines, improved controls, and more intuitive building tools help you design, adjust, and refine your creations with greater precision.
Space Engineers 2 introduces major building improvements such as Grid Undo, copy/paste, symmetry, blueprints, Projection Building, Backpack Building, Area Welding, refined CTRL controls, and improved rotation and zoom.
These tools are designed to make engineering smoother for both newcomers and experienced players, while preserving the depth and creativity that define Space Engineers.
Take your creations to new speeds with upgraded max velocity: characters up to 310 m/s and grids up to 300 m/s. Magboots and automatic jetpack activation help you stay in control while building, exploring, and moving around large constructions, platforms, ships, and asteroids.
Mechanical systems are also expanding. Rotors and Pistons are already available in the current Alpha, with wheels, hinges, warheads, and additional engineering systems planned for future updates.
We redesigned UI/UX to make building smoother and more intuitive for both newcomers and pros, giving more freedom to bring your intricate ideas to life. VRAGE3 is being optimized throughout Early Access; performance can vary by hardware, world size, and build complexity. As Early Access progresses, you’ll be able to build bigger ships, fly more of them, and enjoy epic destruction in a truly immersive ride.
The current Alpha already includes a real sandbox survival experience. Manage power, oxygen, hydrogen, and health. Mine resources, process materials, manufacture components, build production chains, complete contracts, earn credits, discover Datapads, and begin expanding colonization across the Almagest System.
These systems are playable today, but still growing. Long-term survival progression, deeper colonization, richer economy and contracts, NPCs, campaign content, co-op, multiplayer, and many additional systems will continue arriving during Early Access.
Enjoy the beauty of space, industrial designs, planetary landscapes, and destructive engineering with next-level realism. Space Engineers 2 introduces ray-traced global illumination, realistic shadows, a new skybox, tessellated voxel materials, parallax effects for armor, volumetric clouds, and many other visual improvements that bring depth and realism to every scene.
Bring your ideas to life and share your Blueprints and Worlds with the community through Steam Workshop integration. Explore a growing collection of creations from other players, find inspiration, and discover new engineering challenges.
Space Engineers 2 also supports advanced modding through the VRAGE3 Mod HUB and Mod Editor tools, giving creators more ways to shape the future of the game.

I am about 185 hours in the game as I write this. Alpha game ATM. Survival is reasonable, I only got so far before I booted up creative. Survival needs more work, but again, its alpha so this is to be expected. Anything the game "needs" is to be expected due to the alpha state, so I have no complaints here. I love the building. There is a small learning curve, community has been friendly in answering questions I have had. You can make some cool stuff with hinges, rotors, wheels, thrusters, you can even make a radio that plays pre-installed tracks (I'd love to be able to put music I listen to in the game, but its understandable why this could not take place legally). For the price, I feel like I already got my moneys worth so no complaints from me. I also bought the Pioneers DLC for the music (there are some nice tracks on it) and the Pioneer Edition avatar suit (looks good in black imo). The developers making the game listen to the community pretty well, this is welcoming because some devs do not listen, some devs say they listen, but always do the opposite of what the community asks for (sometimes to the detriment of the game), so far Keen seems to listen and react accordingly. They have a "support" website you can sign up on to give feedback and discuss the development of the game.
TLDR
Early access, ALPHA game (that is pretty polished for what we currently have). If you like space games, building and or survival and if you can afford the game and are not going to miss bills or starve, just buy it and give it a shot. I think you'll get many many hours of enjoyment.

I would love to say this game is great i played SE1 for years and had alot of great times but now days seems like keen is just double dipping hoping for more money while leaving simple things people need to make the game more playable like build planner. I mean like really ?
Очень красиво ! Большой потенциал. Уже сейчас, даже на альфе, игра может поглотить много часов. Браво разработчикам. buetefu lVery beautiful ! Great potential. Even now, even on alpha, the game can absorb many hours. Bravo to the developers.
This game is just getting better and better.
STOP WHAT YOU ARE DOING! Now that I have your attention I need to state something that might change the very way you look at the people around you in your day to day life. Space Engineers 2 is not a game that most people think it is. But for you to understand that we need to go back to the early 1940s. In the western Siberian tundra there is a research facility that has on paper been renamed to Tomsk State University Mega Facility however... THIS IS NOT WHAT THE POINT OF THAT BUILDING IS! Under the facility is a secret government compound located over 400 feet under reinforced concrete. The point of the compound in the 1940s was to study a crashed alien ship that was recovered in the 1920s. But here is where the timeline gets spicy. That alien wreck did not just sit there collecting dust and vodka. The Soviets reverse engineered the gravity plating and projector tech way earlier than anyone admits. They tested the first functional block based assembler in 1938. It worked too well. Too unstable. That is when the WW1 instability kicked in. Yes the official history books lie. World War I did not end in 1918 because of treaties or influenza or whatever normie propaganda they fed you in school. It destabilized because some rogue Austro Hungarian engineer got his hands on a leaked fragment of that Siberian wrecks projection core. He tried to build a small scale weldable artillery platform using the aliens modular field generators. The thing did not just fire shells. It started projecting extra artillery pieces into adjacent timelines. So, where does Space Engineers 2 tie into all this and why did I give it a negative review...? Hold on... someone just knocked on my door I will brb.
Disclaimer: I am aware this is in Alpha / Early Access, vertical slice 2.3. My review might change when more VS will be released and/or when whole game will be feature complete and polished. Pros: - 25cm unified grid system, finally no longer small/large grids. - modernized, updated graphics Cons: - looks like missed opportunity to rework the conveyor positioning on functional blocks, leading to impossibility to build proper/compact contraptions; and/or requiring a lot of mods to make it usable (and overcrowded build menu) - missing 1.5m conveyor blocks - unnecessary component building complication - most polishing done in SE is not there yet (keybinding "this is already bound", stable inventory, ...) - a lot of small, annoying bugs (though no crashes for me) Also, Keen, please, hire some writer to write you a good story to use, because the story of Sokol brothers as is in alpha, reminds me the plot(s) of czech animated series: Pat and Mat. Conclusion: If you want to play, not yet. Get Space Engineers and some mods and play. Reassess on release.
Well, they have my money for Space Engineers 1 and 2 now. My review is the same as #1. In the 44 hours I have played I have built 6 ships and died many many times now. It started fun and now just frustrating. Main reason is the physics in both games. I can tell they lighten up just a tiny bit in #2, but when you move the ship while on the ground....your dead. My best ship exploded into pieces scraping the ground, beyond repair. I have not even built a real base yet. Don't get me wrong, I do enjoy the physics idea, but they have over exaggerated it. I even died bumping my head on part of the ship structure. Going back to another game that's more enjoyable. Another thing too, when you die 28k from your base, all is lost, cause you spawn back at base. When you return to the crash site or death site, your body and inventory will be gone. The death location marker only stays about 10 minutes. I was never able to find lost ships or inventory. You want a real frustrating game....this is it. Its not challenging in any respect, just a pain in the butt. Cya.
Would not recomend its way too hard to make anything in this game. I thought this game would be a combination of satisfactory and no mans sky it was neither i REALLY hope the devs make the game easier and more fun to play.
Currently unplayable with a 9070xt. Cannot load into any world. Keen's support threads indicate that there are problems with AMD drivers and SE2. No solution as of yet.
