Prices
Each in the currency that store quoted — not converted: the gap between two rows is the publisher's pricing, not an exchange rate.
13 of 15 markets; the rest we haven't asked for this title, not markets where it is unavailable.
Availability
We put this game to every storefront we collect. A market that answered not sold has told us something about the game; a market we never asked has not, and the two are never drawn the same.
Discounts
Every price cut of more than 20% we have observed, in each market that quoted one, with this game's chart position on either side of it. These are episodes, not a model: a sale is one event, and one event cannot tell you what the next one will do.
Reviews, worldwide (the counter carries no country): 0.29/day in the week to Aug 14 → 1.14/day in the week after.
For scale, across Steam · Top Sellers · Brazil over the last 30 days: the 26 chart moves that followed a price cut of more than 20% went a median of 7 places towards #1, and the 2,400 moves with no price cut behind them went 2 away. One store, one chart, one country — it is the only place we have enough observations to say even that.
Prices outside the United States have been collected since 6 August 2026 and chart positions since 19 July 2026, so a cut older than that has no market to compare and a market that joined later has no history yet. Nothing here is converted between currencies.

Reviews
This game is atrocious. The artstyle is bland and ugly, the soundtrack is a mess, and the level design is just obnoxious. Easily one of the worst Sonic games.
This is absolutely the worst Sonic game I have ever played. At first, I thought the game would have been fun, but I slowly started to figure out the game isn't fun. The game cheats you out of the end level rings when you know you could have jumped into it, and when you're running, you start spinning in a ball for no reason, causing issues with dodging things from the boss. The placement of some of the enemies is just being cheap for the sake of being cheap. The flame puzzle thing was godawful nonsense that ticked me off. Not only does the game suck, but it tries to force you to install Java, which I'll never do on Linux. I had to go on GitHub and get a remade exe just to turn this stupid game on. The graphics are okay, but when you look at Sonic, he looks like someone didn't even care to model him correctly. It feels like a PS2 game upscaled, it really does. Bad graphics on Sonic, auto aim spinball hits are not great on the hitbox, the game puts in so much cheapness it slows you down to the point you don't feel like you're going fast, and the whole point of playing Sonic is to go fast. The last boss needed checkpoints, and the eggs it throws are super cheap, almost impossible to dodge because you'll spinball for no real good reason. It's no wonder they didn't make the 3rd version. This was a very poor attempt to make a classic Sonic game. They took all the fun away and gave you everything you hate from Sonic and thought we'd like it. It took me ages to actually play this. It's been years since I bought this but never played it, and I still feel ripped off. This game isn't even worth being free on Epic Games Store.

13 on sale2 answered “not sold”0 we did not ask
The 2 “not sold” markets are read from the Steam price pass of Sep 8: that day the store answered for this game elsewhere and gave no price in those. The 13 priced markets are the same rows as the table above — each the latest price we hold, dated here when it is older than that pass. The 0 marked “not asked” were not put to this store at all — either it has no storefront there or we do not collect it yet, and neither is a statement about the game. A refusal is a refusal on one day; a store can list a title again tomorrow.

sonic, now in shovelware form! graphics are generic, and look like they got dipped in vaseline. sonic MOVES like he got dipped in vaseline, with how sluggish the movement is. level design is horrible. homing attack is cool but relied upon way too much. avoid.
im not even gonna write a quippy review i just dont like this damn game
My father bought me this game for my birthday over ten years ago and I still haven't forgiven him for it.
Sonic 4 has zero original ideas. It was interesting playing this back-to-back with Sonic Forces. That game had interesting ideas but flawed execution, and I would like to see a version of it with more development to fully realise its vision. Sonic 4, on the other hand, already has its fully realised version: it's called Sonic 2. There's no reason for this game to exist. It's a worse version of a game from 1992
its so bad that it loops to being good, only to loop to being bad again only thing remotely positive i can say is that id prolly fw the artstyle a bit if it had better lighting MAJOR PRECAUTION IF YOU TRY THE GAME: when you close it, itll sometimes be open in the background and still increase playtime stats.
this game killed my grandma
The game gets hated a LOT but it really is a good game sure their are issues mostly visual and momentum based and sometimes you clip through an enemy and get hit the achivments are also a bit unfair but its a good sonic game with original zones and gameplay.
